On the surface, the atmosphere and grounds are very inviting and conveniently located near shopping areas. As time moves on, however, and assisted living and/or nursing care become necessary, the risk is high that the policies and conditions will disappoint. For example, transportation and activities at the Assisted Living facility, once plentiful, have diminished over the years. The Skilled Nursing Unit at the Care Center, especially Long Term Care, is delinquent with missing medication dosages, very long wait times for call buttons, and high staff turnover, resulting in confusion of dosages and patients. Hearing aids? Staff is commonly not aware of how to insert them or the need to change batteries. Weekends are especially devoid of clinical help. Administration operates on the bottom dollar. They squander resources needed for reforms and additional help so they can build and market to attract new residents. Instead of buying in and paying for future care in the Care Center, parents should carefully invest that money so that they can move to another facility should they become unhappy. Buying in is like buying futures in the market; it is gambling that the future care will meet the needs. The sales pitch is seductive, promising great things that simply do not meet reality. There are PROS: amazing volunteers, without whom JKV would be truly substandard, and the residents, who are very sweet and friendly.

I fell Sun and had broken my sternum but the hospital that I had been taken to that day failed to…read morelisten to me about the areas that were in pain so I was sent home and I know that the first 48 hours after an injury is usually the worst so I waited even though my pain seemed to be worse and breathing was difficult I managed to get by until Wednesday and I decided to go to the St. Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit Missouri and ask for the X-ray for the area that I was hurting from the most and they followed through with my request for further testing and they discovered that I was right. My sternum was broken my unfortunate discovery is still in the beginning of the recovery process but I'm glad I chose this hospital to be seen in. I've been to several different ER's in the past but this has been the best place to go to during a variety of health needs that I have had come up with me. This was kinda funny but I found charging cables out in the waiting room and I was impressed with this because I had been in the other hospitals waiting area after I had been discharged and I was waiting for my ride home and they didn't have anything to help people like that. I've been trying to be very careful and not say the name of the other place but I will be leaving them a review on my opinions on my last visit so if you are trying to use the reviews to see which one is a better option you just might find me there too. But I have been impressed with this place for a while now and it's why I chose them again. They're always looking for ways to make things better for everyone.

Amber our server what really excellent, Prompt, very cordial. She had the prettiest smile on a gorgeous face that could not be duplicated. I say this as it wasn't just present during the service. As she walked around it stayed there. It was the sign of a very happy employee who just made sure that everything was perfect. If I were her employer I'd be honored.
