5/14/21 I came here for dinner thanks to Yelp and craving steak. My coworker and I ordered their flat iron steak as their employee suggested that. We ordered our steak medium cooked and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the Cesar salad and sweet potato fries with my steak, while my coworker ordered hers with coleslaw and a Cesar salad as well. We had fried mushrooms and cheese curds as our appetizer and it was so hot and fresh. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and took care of our orders. I would definitely return here again if I'm in the area and have their steak. Their salads are so good and I ordered some to take with me. read more

The food was really good. I got the Fiesta burger, the burger was very flavorful and moist. I got sweet potato fries with it and typically in most places these kind of fries end up soggy no matter what but these were delightfully crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfectly well done fries and the recommended maple glaze was good on both the fries and even the burger. read more

Just drove about 40 miles one way to try a mom and pop restaurant in Mt Pleasant. Jefferson Street Grill was definitely on point. Food was phenomenal and ambiance and waitstaff were wonderful. Left is a side salad and the right is my 121 burger with deep fried cheese curds. In the foreground is Heather's steak and potato. Between the three of us, our bill was less then $50 and my daughter was full. Definitely worth the drive!! Only problem is the bathrooms are 2 star and don't belong with the quality of the restaurant. read more

Came from California for our sons wedding and found this cozy little place on Yelp. Great service, Great food and everyone was SO kind! We really appreciate this type of service being from California. We don't always shed that back home. Also, why have I never thought of putting cheese curds on a burger before?! Holy cow! This is genius! We love this place and will possibly be back to eat here again. Do yourself a favor, try it...and the pickle fries! They are BOMB!! The owner came over and chatted with us a bit and she is so friendly. Covid has hit small businesses hard and she was able to stay afloat with the help of the Governor of Iowa. I wish our Governor would be more helpful to small businesses in California. Bless you all at Jefferson's street grill! Keep up the amazing service and food! Stopped for takeout at around 1130 on a Wednesday. Ordered the farmhouse burger and 121 burger. Both were very delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly and had no issues with our orders. Only thing that was a bummer was the coleslaw, it was not made in house and tasted like regular grocery store coleslaw. It's a pretty simple side to make homemade and would have really elevated the meal if it was fresh and house made. Other than that 4/5 stars I would eat here again while passing through and recommend this place! read more

Don't walk by this place. We were served incredible meals....smothered steak and fire roasted chicken Caesar salad..multiple beer choices and my single serve Cabernet hit the spot. The menu is impressive and budget minded. We're adding this establishment to our list of Mt Pleasant favorites. read more

We have enjoyed several meals as we split time between our home near Chicago and our family farm near Mt Pleasant. The decor could fit right in with "fancy & trendy" Chicago spots . We have had sandwiches,wraps, baskets & dinners. All are good Yesterday on a Friday night was full with people waiting for tables. Service was prompt but not pushy I had a medium rare flat iron steak, great fries and a Caesar salad that even had shaved Parmesan. My wife had a bacon turkey avocado wrap large enough for leftovers. She said later that it could use a sauce either on it or for dipping Also the drinks are well made & priced on the low side. Prices for everything are very reasonable Mt Pleasant has a Gem. Like many places you go in Iowa I was greeted with a warm smile and a nod from patrons sitting in the dinning room as I walked towards the bar. It definitely had more of a dinner lounge feel than a bar (what use to be Keo's) with warm lighting and simple decor. I started with a fantastic salad followed by sirloin and shrimp with a baked potato that was cooked to perfection. The updates the new owners have done are great and the staff was friendly. As of now it is the only place I know of to get a good steak in MTP! I will definitely return. read more

Cole slaw was delicious but tye sweet potato fries where out of this world with homemade dipping sauce. My husband had the fish fry which was light and crispy. We stopped here for lunch while on a trip across Iowa on secondary roads. What a great place! I had the grilled chicken wrap and French fried sweet potatoes. Both were awesome, and the dip for the potatoes was excellent. My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and fries. Half a pound of meat, and every bite delicious. Service was prompt and the atmosphere relaxing. We may take that route again just to stop and eat there! read more
