The first time I called, I was told the girl that I always saw, Jen, no longer worked there and they did not have someone new just yet. I asked if these sessions expired and was assured, they did not. I called back 2 months later to reschedule and was able to make an appointment, but the office manager called me back the next day telling me they needed to reschedule. Because the new time didn't work with my schedule, I said I would have to call back when I had more availability. I called the Clark office in February of 2026 to schedule the laser hair removal appointment, using a session for a package I had paid a significant amount of money for and was told they no longer do laser hair removal in their office. I was told I would have to call NY Bariatric Group. I asked the office manager for an e-mail of my records. She told me NY Bariatric Group "took their computers" so they didn't have access to any of my information. This was bizarre and quite honestly, unsettling. I spent thousands of dollars at the office between fat burning sessions, hydra facials, and full body laser hair removal and they had no record of that? I called NY Bariatric and told them that Nihalani basically told me this was their issue to fix and they had no idea what I was talking about. At this point, I am going back and forth between Nihalani and NY Bariatric Group, trying to get someone to refund me the money owed, for the sessions I lost. No one has helped me. The Nihalani office manager instead offered me to come in for Cool Sculpting and told me she was trying to help me. I want to say, Nicole, who worked at the front desk, and Jen, who used to do the laser hair removal were absolute sweethearts. They were so friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The office in Clark is clean and I was always happy with the services I purchased. This is not meant to bash a company, but rather get someone's attention to listen to me as a customer and give me back what I deserve, which is a large chunk of money. As I tried to explain my situation, she told me I was arguing and didn't allow me the opportunity to speak. Additionally, during the treatment, she interrupted the session to attend to another customer and promote her products. I ended up waiting for about 45 minutes while she focused on sales instead of completing my treatment. This experience left me feeling unheard and unattended.

Do NOT visit this practice unless you trust someone unqualified and inexperienced with your face…read more I visited Dr. Niu back in March 2025 for a simple cortisone shot, which I have had countless times before with other practitioners, and she was clearly inexperienced and unqualified to perform this service. Not only was she unable to give me the results that are expected from injecting a nodule pimple with a cortisone shot (the whole point in paying for the shot is to see flattening within 48 hours), but even worse - her technique was so shockingly poor that it caused severe fat atrophy in the entire area on my face. This has left an EXTREMELY noticeable dent in my face for several months that I now had to visit two separate med spas for consultations and ultimately had to pay $900 for a syringe of filler to see a slight resolution in the damage she caused. When I initially reached out to Dr. Niu about my concern of this divot due to fat atrophy in April 2025, she was extremely dismissive and took no accountability for the negative side-effect of her work. She mentioned that she had already provided me a refund (which was false because she had only given me a PARTIAL refund) and did not offer to fix the problem that she had created. The partial refund she gave me did not even begin to cover the amount of money I had to spend to fix this. I have pictures of the damage she caused as well as my text messages with her that show how unprofessional, condescending, and dismissive she was throughout the experience. Obviously this was distressing and disheartening for me as a patient. She is not a trustworthy or skilled practitioner and a simple conversation with her will prove that she's not confident speaking to a lot of the procedures she offers. I regret going against my intuition and trusting her anyway. She deletes her bad reviews and the one or two bad reviews that I have seen on here, she has replied to in an immature and dismissive manner that would not be expected from a true professional doctor. I am reporting her to the New Jersey Medical Licensing Board because this is absolutely unacceptable and I don't want other women to go through what I did. If you have also experienced this and seen that your review was somehow removed by her, I urge you to do the same.
