She had a little heater to keep our baby warm, was so gentle and sweet with our girl, made sure that our baby was comfortable with quick outfit changes (she provided all the props and outfits), and used posing that went with how our baby was naturally moving and feeling. We corresponded over email and her response time is about a day or less. She has about 3 different packages and about 9 locations she likes to shoot at. We chose Kualoa regional park because it had a few different backgrounds (beach, mountains, outriggers, and dock). On the day of the session she met us at the park and we walked to the locations. She was very easy to work with and she was pretty in tune with the needs of our 1 and 2 year olds. When the girls got fussy or didn't feel like cooperating she would shoot couples pictures of us. So, I decided to book a family session with her because we had yet to do so of our family of four. I was blown away at how patient and awesome Sonja was with our girls, ages 3 and almost 1, which I know is not an easy task. She knew when to take candid pics and was spot on with the posed pics. They, of course, came out great and we really enjoyed the hour she spent with us. Here recently we had family come in from out of state and I really wanted pics of all our babies at a local pumpkin patch. Sonja beyond accommodated us being that it was on a day she normally doesn't shoot, but being her awesome self, she made it work!! My family fell in love with her instantly. We hired Skeem Photography for our photo needs in Austin, TX. Janet seemed very trustworthy in the…read morebeginning. It is very hard to believe that someone with an established face book page has very poor customer service. I paid $300 in cash the day she came to take pictures. She showed up 20 minutes late but ended up staying very long to take photos for the photo session we had hoped for. She had asked for 3 week time stating that the edits we are requesting will take more time. We have given her enough time. And at the end of week 3, upon asking repeatedly, she shared another link with the unedited photos that we could download only by paying some extra $$$$ (surprise surprise). After that she stopped responding to our phone calls and text messages. Giving her a benefit of doubt, it could be that she is super busy with other stuff but doesn't mean she cannot respond via text. Two months after hiring her for our photo needs, we have absolutely no response regarding the links so far from her. Upon calling her and asking her why she sent another website link that is showing another couple of hundred $$$ to purchase, she stated that we will get a separate google drive link with both edited and unedited photos. We never received either of those links. This is very unprofessional. In short, I would think twice before hiring Janet Skeem for any of their personal or professional photo needs. She sent all my calls to voicemail and didn't care to at least respond via a single text stating when exactly I will get my pictures. I am still waiting on my photos as I write this review. I have nothing to gain by writing this, except as a warning to anyone else who may be thinking of hiring her. The time frame at which those photos was taken is not going to come back no matter how much money we spend. I'm deeply disappointed with the service we received hope others read this in case they're looking to hire her for important shoots.
