Not at all surprised by the negative feedback. My husband's ex-wife's attorney actually asked him where he found her and said he was sorry that he got screwed so bad (this was about 4-5 years ago). She wouldn't talk to me during the case because I wasn't her "client" but afterwards wanted to come to me for payment ... now all of a sudden I was the client??? Yeah, that somehow makes sense. The entire divorce proceeding was a disaster. My now husband got raked through the coals and screwed over - she never spoke up once - never stood up for her client and let him get railroaded many times. It disgusts me that she's allowed to practice law at... oh wait - she's suspended now as of November 2022! .. how fitting and not at all surprising! She is very bad, she or her staff doesn't know a hole in the ground from there ass that puts out brown smelling stuff.... her staff will set up appointments without telling you and then when you don't show up will hold that against you. They say said I had x3 appointments that I didn't make and then I had to drop them due to they were unwilling to help me due to I missed 3 times when I was never told on the appointments. jennifer will say, we have a staff person check up on you every weekend or every other weekend, well they don't check up on you and they don't tell you what is going on and they don't come out to see you. jennifer is very hard to get a hold of too........... ..... I do not understand any of the negative feedback that she's gotten because this woman is amazing! She literally and truly saved my life. I am not saying that as an exaggeration of my appreciation. I am saying that because I was literally suicidal due to my divorce and she has been a powerhouse of support and absolutely fierce in court! Jennifer knows the law like the back of her hand, and she fights hard! You will not find somebody who genuinely cares like she does. They are few and far between in any profession, especially legal. She literally is an angel in my eyes, because she wasn't even getting paid very much to represent me at first, but I will not let her go unpaid what she's worth. And she's worth far more than what the court ordered my husband to pay. She's pure gold! If you call she picks up right away if she's able, otherwise she will text you that she cannot talk to you right now and will get back to you as soon as she can and she does. She's one every single tiny detail in the hearings prior to my actual divorce hearing and she's kept in touch with me throughout the whole thing. If I could give this -5 stars I would. Not only that I noticed a lot of the reviews I read last month are gone. (How strange) By the way Jennifer do not bother to comment that I was never a client of yours. I am commenting on behalf of my mother. (She does not have the same last name as mine) Jennifer is very unprofessional and unresponsive to her clients. My mother used her through Metlife to file for a divorce. Jennifer kept stating she filed paper for the divorce and that my step father was going to get served including she would mail out copies to my mothers address which was mine. (WE HAVE NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING IN THE MAIL FROM HER) Nor did my step father ever did get served papers. Then my mother took it upon herself to call the courts to see why this was taking so long. They informed her that Jennifer did not file anything until 2-3 months after the date my mother was informed the paperwork was filed. Then my mother kept trying to call Jennifer. Jennifer NEVER answers her phone calls nor does she call back. She end up texting you later in the night telling you BS lies. (SHE DOES NOT DO HER JOB) So finally Jennifer called her back explaining she was in court and that my mother should be lucky that she called her back. My mother confronted her asking her why was the forms filed months after being informed it had already been filed. (Jennifer flipped) She was yelling and screaming at my mother on the phone saying my mother was not being a good client and that my mom was the one making the case harder than it should be. My mother could not handle her screaming any more and hung up on her. Jennifer called right back to scream some more. Finally my mother decided she could not deal with her anymore and complained with Metlife. (I HOPE YOU ENJOYED METLIFE WHILE YOU WERE WORKING THERE BTW) My mother had gotten a new lawyer. Even with a new lawyer Jennifer made it complicated still. Jennifer would not give any of the paperwork in regards to my mothers case. The new lawyer had to go to court to get the information from Jennifer. I STRONGLY DISCUROUAGE YOU FROM HIRING JENNIFER IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE AND TREATED WITH RESPECT. Jennifer, like her makeup and hair is a disaster. She missed court dates, was fined by the judge, lost paperwork then lost my confidence and ultimately lost my case. I used to respect attorneys and believe their intentions were good . Ms Paine cured me of that silly notion. read more

My bf hired her nearly 3 years ago. Had to ask for documents several times, everytime claiming she always sends them to her clients. If that were true he wouldn't have had to hound her OR drive to courthouse himself to retrieve copies at additional costs. A few times she claimed to have filed motions but did not. Frankly had she done so in 2021 his case would be over with. He has dealt with one delay after another. The mom in his case has had all the time in the world to fabricate lies, make false allegations, committed perjury that the Judge called mom out on. Being the Plaintiff he was always on the defense, has yet to be heard. While waiting for court Mom was able to make assault allegations that cost him a felony charge. Jennifer took on that case as well knowing the Mom in this case is lying. Long story short, Jennifer called my bf to say that his case was dismissed just in time to enjoy Christmas. Unbeknownst to us, her license was suspended! Her claims to have talked to judges to postpone family court to resolve the criminal case first. LIES! SHE did not have him appear in either court. To be served a WARRANT for his arrest 2 days before Christmas and then served an Exparte motion on Christmas day. The claims in the Exparte were the failures to appear in both courts, the warrant and Jennifer's law license is in question. This is how we found out she was lying. When confronted she was rude, pointed out its Christmas and shes going back to her family. A lot of balls to be rude and make such statements when she knows she caused a warrant that didnt make for a good Christmas with his family. Read the reviews thought we were cautious and kept saying just one more hearing ... totally regret not firing her a long time ago, but when you pay out so much money to an attorney its very hard to come up with more money to retain some else. We also believe she moved out of MI months ago taking a job in Kenosha Wisconsin. We had a protection order against my ex she was their lawyer . All communication was to be through attorneys due to threats and violent acts that kept continuing . She would flood my phone with calls and emails . She then started to call my extended families numbers and tell them to : just tell her where we are at . That life and things would be so much "easier" if we just do what her client wants and this can all end if we just do what they say and drop the ppo. She threatened to make false report to put me in jail with out a judge . We sent this to police and judge as well as voice mails and transcripts of voice mails . She would lie constantly , commit harassment through court filings and was told to stop her behavior or else she would be sanctioned . The last court date ex was ordered to do a psych eval she scoffed in middle of court room and never followed the order to this day . She has caused harm to so many people with her actions . Gave me the runaround the entire time we worked together, then when she finally filed the paperwork correctly to get a court date, she didn't show up. She hasn't spoken to me in months, and now that I'm trying to retain a new lawyer, she won't sign the order to be removed from my case. My husband and I hired "attorney" Paine to handle him adopting my daughter so our family can feel whole. We have been working on this for over a year and a half with many issues of her lying about turning in paperwork, making calls to the court for updates, and me having to make trips to the court myself to turn documents in that I sent to her weeks prior. Most of the time she would reply to my texts when asking for an update, but always saying she was in court and how great she was for replying while there. She pretty much never gave me updates until I asked for them. Now that all she had to do is turn in finalized accounting paperwork so we can have a final hearing she has stopped responding all together resulting in me hiring a new attorney. She will not respond to my new attorney to hand over our file or sign the substitution of attorney, making us have to take more steps to get this done. She has wasted over a year of our time and caused alot of stress for our family during what should be a happy event. I would not recommend this attorney by any means. If she would spend half the time getting her job done as she does raving about herself on social media she might be able to figure out how to do her job instead of causing families pain. read more

Biggest joke ever , lied so much to us it was ridiculous... even our judge asked us were we found her after screwing us over and lying about stuff she's actually never did. Yes we do owe her a couple hundred dollars still and she will not be seeing it for the fact that she did absolutely nothing for us other than file one court papers !!!! We paid you what you deserve... other then that everything else as a lie . Oh and the first time I tried to write a bad review she called me and threatened me and made me call the company to remove it! Wondering how many other people she did this too?
