I hired Jared Vaughn for his services and paid him $3,627.10 in full. He sent me draft documents, I…read moresigned and notarized them within 24 hours, and then nothing was ever filed. Months passed with repeated delays, vague responses, and ignored follow-ups. On May 20, 2025, I formally requested a refund in writing (per his own contract provisions for unearned fees). That demand was opened multiple times but never answered. Since then, Mr. Vaughn has publicly conceded that my claim has merit and that his obligations remain. He has still refused to issue a refund, instead offering $1,000 -- less than a third of what I paid -- despite never filing the case. This is not professional conduct. I have filed with the Alabama State Bar and the Client Security Fund so the record is clear. Mr. Vaughn also publicly called me a "bitch" on social media for seeking a refund. Future clients deserve to know how this matter has been handled.

I was awarded my 3 by a judge in Jefferson County a few years ago. After my wife and I got married, her parents took her to court to get custody of her youngest two children on the grounds that I was abusive. Mr. Philips was appointed Guardian ad Litem by the judge. According to Mr. Philips, the children told him that I was abusive. Long story short custody was awarded to my in-laws based on Mr. Philips' testimony. Personally I do not believe that either of the children told him that I was abusive and if they did they were coached. Instead of digging into those claims Mr. Philips took it at face value. I do not know what kind of attorney Mr. Phillips is but he is a TERRIBLE GAL and does not have the children's best interests at heart. Use caution!
