Our five days stay at Jensen Beach Inn was wonderful! Thanks to incredible people who worked there like Wendy! Wendy (Wendi) is truly a non-stop Energizer Bunny in the very best way! She seemed to be everywhere--the beach area, the outdoor restaurant, the indoor restaurant, and the bar--always moving, always smiling, always making guests feel welcomed and cared for. She is kind, professional, attentive, and genuinely joyful in her work. Wendy doesn't just serve food and drinks--she creates an experience that makes you happy to be staying at this hotel. Her energy and warmth are contagious, and she makes guests feel like friends. We will absolutely be back, if only to enjoy the presence of an employee (and now friend) like Wendy. I truly hope management realizes what a shining star they have in her--because she is the kind of person who keeps people coming back again and again. What an awesome old building to stay in. The center of the pineapple capital of the world in its prime days. Getting the keys was pretty easy, all over phone/text as their is no front desk. The building exterior and interior have been upkept well. The paintings and decorative accents are wonderful. The bed, bathroom, and even the extra hang out areas and kitchen are a great plus. Room was well worth the cost and we had a wonderful stay. The breakfast baskets available are a perfect grab and go meal. We will return. There are a few things to keep in mind: 1- The restaurant and bar on first floor ate no longer open, so don't plan to eat or drink on site (bars and eateries are very close by). 2 - The hundred plus year old railroad system runs directly across from the hotel and the entire business district. We loved it, but it is loud and does shake the walls a couple times a day and night ;-) 3 - They use 1 ply toilet paper, you've been warned lol read more

Loved staying here. The room was perfect and when I say perfect I mean comfortable/cozy. Another great part about this place is the location, I mean you walk outside and there are plenty of restaurant options as well as a 5 minute drive to the beach. The river is here also if you're looking for water. I will mention the train goes by the hotel but it's a non factor, because the bed is so comfortable you fall right asleep. We loved staying here and wish we could never leave. read more

Each one has a very private secluded feel. Most importantly, the beds are comfortable... I could stay at a really nice place but if the beds aren't comfortable it affects the whole experience. What does a California girl do when she has no idea where to stay halfway between Boyton Beach and Orlando, Florida? She turns to Yelp to find a charming little beach town with good food, nice folks and clean rooms. Bingo! That's where we found Jensen Beach Inn. Owned by an adorable and friendly couple, the Inn is the oldest structure in Jensen Beach. It was mostly destroyed by a hurricane, rebuilt somewhat by a former owner, repossessed by the bank and then bought by the current owners who made it into the charming hotel and restaurant it is today. The rooms are named, themed, large and tastefully decorated. We stayed in the gater room named after the gater mural on the wall. It was a little creepy having that gater stare at me all night, but he was inspirational for dinner. If you haven't tried gater, you should!! They have old time keys to let you into the secured area from off the street. A short climb up the stairs and you are at your suite. There's a community kitchen where you will find nice treats from bananas to coffee. Each room gets a breakfast basket in the morning, found in the kitchen fridge, and labeled for the room that contains all kinds of yummy goodies! There's also a main sitting area and a rooftop seating area where you can listen to the music from the neighboring bar while drinking wine. Just head downstairs to the restaurant to grab a bottle. They'll give you glasses to take upstairs with you. Speaking of the restaurant, they have breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had a dinner that consisted of scallops accompanied by a delicious bottle of red wine. Very nice! The bartenders were entertaining and the local were super welcoming. We felt very at home through our entire visit. Parking is limited, but reserved for hotel guests. One word of advise for those who sleep lightly - bring ear plugs. The train tracks are close by and trains run throughout the night. read more

The only cool thing about this place is the fact that the building has been there since 1904. You should not be able to hear the person staying in the room next to you speaking or walking. Where is the privacy and intimacy in that? Horrible! Secondly the woman that owns this place is very nasty and aggressive. Not very inviting! She needs to sell the place to someone that knows how to treat customers. She sent me threatening text messages about returning the room key. I have never been treated that way when staying and giving our business to local places! I will never waste my money or time staying there again!! HIGHLY do not recommend!! read more

This place is AMAZING! This Inn has got to be one of the most enjoyable lodging experiences in Jensen Beach. From the spacious rooms, to abundance of amenities, we love this Inn. There is even a rooftop patio to enjoy the view and your favorite drink. Tammy keeps EVER room spotless. She puts her heart and soul in keeping the Inn the cleanest in town, and it shows. The owner personally spent time with us to make sure all our needs were met and it was so very quiet. There's only 7 rooms, so get your reservations in early, this place fills up fast. What a wonderful find in Jensen Beach! The Jensen Beach Inn is lovely and very comfortable. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. They are great resource for the surrounding area, places to go, things to do, and places to eat. We stayed in the Stingray Room. It was exactly as pictured on the hotel website if not better. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The bed was heavenly! We did not partake in the continental breakfast but it looked great! The location in downtown Jensen Beach is perfect. Just walk down the street to the water and pass by local shops and restaurants on the way. If you want you can take a 5 minute care ride inland to the mall and a plethora of chain restaurants. I will more definitely be back and will recommend the inn to my friends and family! Great job! read more

We stayed in the shark room. It was very cute and clean. The owner was there when we checked in but left a key in the lock box. Wish we had known about the elevator in the back when getting to our room. Also note that the inn is right next to the rail road tracks. Would return if we head south to Jensen Beach. There was several who went south for Memorial Day weekend barbecue. Nice location- you can walk to just about anything you would want to. Super clean and updated. I think that was the best shower I have ever had. I really wanted to get the shower head but forgot to ask what kind it was. The breakfast was simple but suitable. The owner (I think she is the owner) figured out we were headed to the beach. She was so nice to give us directions to the better beaches in the area that are less traveled. She also gave us beach supplies that we forgot at home such as chairs and towels. She was super friendly and you can tell she takes pride in the hotel. Only one draw back, you only get one key to the room and front door. As I said there was several of us on the trip. Some stayed here other stayed with friend or family. We would split up from time to time so there was a couple of times that would would be locked out of the hotel or room. Other than that draw back, there is no other complaints. Would definitely recommend anyone traveling to this area to give them a try. I stayed in the Grouper room! Which was close to the stairs and front door. Even with that, there was no sounds that could be heard. Everyone who stayed at the location was quite and friendly. It is small but a diamond. read more

You are welcomed to this B&B like you are visiting your favorite cousin's home! (But with private room and bath.) We've stayed at the inn several times. Every room is clean and picturesque. The pride the owners have is undeniable. Every comfort is attended while the spirit is pure relaxation. You can walk to everything and it is only a half hour ride to see the Mets at their spring training camp in Port St Lucie. They have also opened their own restaurant downstairs and offer a discount to inn guests. We loved the food. Now that the Mets are going back home, I am finding another excuse for another stay before next March! read more

I spent Labor Day weekend at the Jensen Beach Inn with my best friends, as it is their favorite weekend getaway. I found out for myself, this is for good reason. The JBI is charming. The rooms are each unique ( I saw the Stingray and Shark for myself) and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast offerings in the morning were ample and there were enough choices to satisfy my picky appetite and my husbands dietary needs. Bed was comfortable, and the entire inn felt luxurious. Pineapple Jacks Bistro downstairs is a delicious restaurant for lunch or dinner. Top quality, and care you can feel and taste all around. The weekend went by too soon. read more

I seldom write reviews, but this boutique gem was too remarkable to stay quiet. Since I was arriving after hours at check-in, the owner provide clear and friendly instructions to access the keys to the building and my quaint "Stingray" room. Once inside, it was hard not to relax and dream in my big plush bed. The bathroom was pristine and stylish. Beautiful hardwood flooring and wood furnishings fill the room, halls, and common space. White-painted shutters brightened things up, and closed shut completely for nighttime blackout bliss. The breakfast selections were a perfect way to wake up (especially Indian River O.J. and Greek yogurt), but the real treat was the Pineapple Bistro downstairs (exquisite clam chowder, fresh seafood entrees, friendly staff). Wifi was consistent and reliable. Location can't be beat, and the train line is really no big deal with a little white noise app or machine. Bottom line, it was hard to say goodbye after a 3-day stay, and I hope for a chance to visit again. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to stay for four days at the Jensen Beach Inn for our 2 yr anniversary because it was an affordable and very well reviewed B&B. Our stay surpassed any expectations we had about this place. Scott, the innkeeper, was tremendously gracious during our stay. You can tell he loves what he does and where he lives because he was very knowledgeable about the area and always had a smile on his face. The inn, which is on the second floor of a newly renovated building was beautifully decorated and homey. The room we stayed in, The Stingray room, was immaculate as well as the bathroom. In the mornings, the breakfast buffet that Scott would put out was always delicious with bagels, pastries, fresh fruit and more. There are two, count them, TWO Keurig machines with a great selection of K-Cups for you coffee enthusiasts. There is also a lovely rooftop patio ( there was a tiny wedding up there one of the days we were there) where you can get a great unobstructed 360 panoramic view of the area.. and the area is great. The location of this inn is perfect. This sleepy little town has some fantastic restaurants (Bourbon St BBQ and Roosters for breakfast just to name a couple), adorable little art gallery cottages and various shops, all within walking distance of the inn. We felt very safe as well, because across the street from the parking lot is a sheriff station. Also, the gorgeous beaches are less than a mile away and we made a great decision bringing our bikes too; Scott even gave us a key to his shed for extra safe storage. I could continue to gush about this place for hours but you will just have to experience it for yourself. Overall, Jensen Beach Inn and its keeper, Scott get a 10/10 from us. Jensen Beach Inn is a hidden gem. We came to see the Mets play in Port Lucie and could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. Jensen Beach Inn is a unique, quirky boutique inn. The rooms were spotless,the decor creative. As a guest you can use lovely common areas which we loved . The owner , Elizabeth could not be kinder or more accommodating and the price was a bargain. My only regret is we didn't eat in the restaurant Pineapple Jack,we opted for Conkeys ( which was overpriced and awful). The New Orleans style restaurant down the road was really good as well. read more

This was my first visit to Jensen Beach and I really lucked up. After hotels.com botched my initial reservation for a different hotel, they booked me at JBI. I wanted a quiet getaway from Miami for the weekend so I was very particular about the location. After a quick review online, I said okay, lets try it. I totally lucked out. The place was awesome. Quaint, cozy, newly renovated but still tons of character. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner, Scott and wife were so welcoming and accommodating. They helped with dinner reservations to a fantastic local restaurant, set up horseback riding and made sure we were supremely taken care of. Jensen Beach, the town, seemed no more than 2 blocks long but there were great restaurants, art galleries, the beach is a 5 minute drive and even dancing at night. This was the perfect getaway weekend from Miami and only 2 hours away! Great alternative to the keys. I will be going back! Highly recommend. read more

My recent stay at the Jensen Beach Inn was truly a delightful experience. The decor was charming and cozy and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Although recently upgraded it still maintains the historical quaintness from it's origins in the 1920's. The owners Scott and Liz are amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure that you had everything you needed. They not only made you feel "at home", but I really enjoyed the short time I got to spend with them and hope to see them again soon if not in Jensen Beach, in my home town of San Diego where they are most welcome! read more

I booked a room this weekend for a stay-cation at the Jensen Beach Inn for my sweetheart's birthday. Lovely location, was given a tour and told we were welcome to cook in the kitchen if we wished. We spent the day boating, swimming, had dinner at Pineapple Jacks and decided a lovely cap to the evening would be to make popcorn at the Inn and watch a movie in our room. Perfection! To my utter dismay I found a $500 charge to my credit card from the hotel alleging damage to the stovetop from making popcorn. Thinking this must be a mistake, I called the owner. Nope. She told me I broke the glass surface and rendered the entire unit unusable. The pictures she sent me showed superficial scratches that are easily buffed out, nothing close to $500 worth of damage. This experience left an awful taste in my mouth. PLEASE do not patronize this business. I really, truly wanted to love this place...so disappointed. read more

This hotel is right in the middle of a very cute, small, old downtown area. It is surrounded by restaurants, little shops and pubs. On Thursday nights local vendors set up booths/tables and we really enjoyed walking around and looking at everything. The owner of the hotel put cones out for us so we would always have a parking spot when things got busy. He and his wife were very thoughtful and accommodating! Upon check in he asked what we had planned while we were there and the next morning at breakfast he had a "buy one get one free" coupon for us for one of the attractions we were going to, along with a book of things to do and a map. Our room was great and just like the rest of the hotel, everything looked brand new and was spotless! I was EXTREMELY impressed. We will definitely go back and I will steer anyone I can in their direction! PS Don't bother packing shampoo, conditioner or body wash, they have dispensers in the shower for you with Dove products. I'm telling you...they thought of everything! read more
