We love spend Sunday afternoon's here with some friends. The full bar is open and the offer pizza and various appetizers. The ground are beautiful there is an outside sitting area that's huge. My husband and I went on a spontaneous road trip to Shelbyville and decided that we needed to stop into Jeptha Creed after all these years of driving by it on the interstate! We were unable to join in on a tour but opted for a handcrafted cocktail, pizza, and a guided bourbon tasting. The cocktail we chose was a seasonal sweet potato puree based cocktail, it blew us away. My husband commented it may be the best cocktail he's ever had. We shared a supreme pizza which was hot, fresh, and delicious. WOW this place is so gorgeous! Just absolutely stunning from the interstate and it gets better as you get closer. Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. They have a parking lot up front and then a giant seating area inside for people to enjoy tasting samples, cocktails, or food. They pre-pour the samples in the morning because they get so busy during the day. Everything was so delicious and I especially loved the honey vodka. Something different yet refreshing. We've done the Barrel Tasting twice now and it is the perfect introduction to Bourbon for out of town family and friends. The tour guides are fantastic (Selena was our guide yesterday and we loved her) and the overall experience is worth every penny. The barn is comfortable and feels intimate and cozy. We ordered pizza and brussel sprouts to be ready at the end of our tasting and it was delicious. Service was amazing from the time of entry to our exit. Our experience on the tour was incredibly interesting and informative. Noah was great with explaining details of the process of distillation/bottling/etc. On the tour, even though it was cold outside, the grounds are still very clean and well maintained, absolutely stunning with all the wood throughout inside and outside of the building. The place has games for kids and adults. You can sit outside and enjoy the landscape. They have an indoor bar serving drinks . We ordered pizza and salads. Jeptha Creed is a up-and-coming bourbon distillery located in Shelby county Kentucky. It is family owned and been in business since 2016. The distillery itself is located right off for interstate 64. all of the Bourbon is made and bottled and shipped right their own site. The gift shop is amazing. They have all brands of Bourbon that you could buy you. There is sampling tasting, and there's also vodka yes, Jeptha Creed makes their own vodka and it is amazing. Tours of the distillery are free, there is a restaurant in the back that is available for rent. The view from the back is amazing, I can imagine sitting out back there sipping Bourbon and smoking a cigarette I really enjoyed this place and really look forward to coming back. Right off exit 32 of I-64 is the Jeptha Creek Distillery. You make a tight left turn to get in and the street is pretty narrow so watch out! There's plenty of parking and lots of space. This place would be great for large family events. While they don't have a kids menu in the Cafe they did make a lemonade for my daughter and most of the food is pizza. We had the barbecue chicken pizza, Cheesy garlic bread, Spinach artichoke dip and corn nuts. This is not a fancy establishment. It feels very down home but it is new and very clean. read more

The bourbons were all amazing and are fairly priced, I really love how the majority of the ingredients they use are either grown on their land or locally sourced from the area. I also had one of the pizzas that was surprisingly one of the best pizzas I've had. The staff is amazing and very nice. Jay was absolutely the greatest, great personality, very knowledgeable, and really does a great job of explaining the history of the company and the stories of the different bourbons. This was a last minute business trip that brought me out to the area and I was only here for 1 night, it just happened that my hotel was down the street. I told my wife about this place and we are already planning to come back out here so see can experience the distillery as well. read more

This was our third stop on my pal's bachelorette bourbon tasting tour. For the record, this is the only stop I didn't do an actual tour for - I just hung out with a couple others in the bar/gift shop area while the bride and a few friends did the tour. However, those of us waiting were hungry and so this review is mostly based on our experience with the bar and the food. FWIW, the bride and others seemed to have fun on the tour and I remember one girl in particularly extolling about the vodka. That's one kinda unique thing about Jeptha Creed - they make vodka, too! Anyway. Their bar is an all-in-one stop for alcohol and for food. For whatever reason, it was absolutely SWAMPED and stayed that way the whole hour or so we were hanging out. Seating is pretty limited, especially when they close the doors to the other half of the building, which they did about 15 minutes after we got there. I think that's for tours or something, idk. One of the other girls stood in line to place our order and it took her about 15 minutes to get through. She said the bartenders were very nice and apologetic about the fact that the kitchen was also backed up. I don't blame the staff at all; they were clearly working their hardest. I just felt bad for them - they seemed understaffed. The kitchen was indeed backed up and it took about 35 minutes after ordering for our food to be delivered to our table. We got a cheese pizza for the bride to feed her after she got done with the tour and the pretzel sticks with curry mustard and beer cheese for the three of us that were waiting. The bride and the others who noshed on the pizza said it was nothing special and about what you'd expect from a distillery kitchen. I remember they said it was very saucy, too much so for them. However, the pretzel appetizer was pretty good! The pretzels themselves were a little too greasy, but the beer cheese tasted great and we all really enjoyed the curry flavors in the mustard. It was unique and punchy. I'd eat that appetizer again. Overall, it's probably worth a stop if you're a bourbon trail completionist or a vodka fan. Just be advised they do seem to get very busy and if you're hungry for a bite or a mixed drink you may be waiting a while. read more

The tasting itself was fun, but they squeezed in 4 additional people to an already tight area which did really cramp the space for a bunch of adults. And it was free, so I guess that is a plus. Unfortunately this was my least favorite distillery on the whiskey trail. It was nice inside but there was an extremely long line at the bar. Limited bartenders making cocktails from scratch on a Saturday afternoon. The line was not organized with random people approaching the bar and the bartender seemingly being overwhelmed. There was a desk in the middle near the entrance which is where you would suspect you'd get your greeting from like every other distillery but we did not receive that here. Just in general didn't feel welcomed here and after waiting around for 15 to 20 minutes decided to leave without having a drink or doing a tour. I fully acknowledge that other people's experiences may have been better than mine and drove a better review but I can't justify more than two stars for my unwelcomed visit. read more

They pizzas them fresh and they have gluten free that is tasty too :) Bartenders are well versed in products and excellent with recommendations. Outdoor seating area is comfortable (kudos to whoever picked out the chairs!!) with a stage area, shuffle board, corn hole, etc. I liked the fact that they had vodka too for me and then of course bourbon for hubby. I've driven by Jeptha Creed a number of times and finally had some time to stop in for a quick flight and a bite. I did love the option to try a flight of their products at the bar and not have to book an actual tasting tour. Also the pizza came out fairly quickly, about 10 min if no orders are ahead of you. Their property and amount of space for big parties is very extensive. You can tell they put some thought into this to accommodate a lot of people at a time. I was very disappointed in the whiskey though. We tried four different whiskies, however three of them are only aged just over two years and the one I liked the most was aged about 4 1/2 years. I would have bought this one except I'm not paying $100 for a whiskey that was only 4 years old. All of their products will be much better once they have at least doubled their age, I'll be back then. read more
