This is a lovely jewellery shop, based in the beautiful town of Ilkley, West Yorkshire. If you know it at all, you'll know that Ilkley is a mecca of independent, exciting shops and this is one of those gems. It's situated along The Grove, one of the main streets for shopping, and it certainly had enough to catch my eye. I say that, and I know that I'm the biggest magpie ever, but genuinely - there is plenty to check out here!
The initial item that caught the eye of my friend and I was one of a collection of iridescent glass 'teardrop' shaped pendent and earring pieces. The item in question was essentially a huge piece of glass shining in blues and purples on a black ribbon. It was very different, very contemporary and not at all my usual kind of thing! Near by they had Chamilia beaded items, sort of 'charm' bead assortments, some very contemporary silver items and the most amazingly cute, painted enamel pill boxes! Also some of what we thought we pill boxes, along the same row, were in fact little time pieces. My friend and I thought these were just adorable!
All in all, there is more here than you might expect. Mostly contemporary styled items, but as it turns out - even a vintage fanatic like myself can find something they like! read more
