I had large deposits of "good funds" in PNC bank because I am purchasing a townhome. "Good funds"…read moremeans that the money is settled in the account through the ACH, wire, or other method of deposit. It took me 30 minutes to retrieve my "good funds" from this bank due to incompetent management with unnecessary inquiries about me and my account. I have been a customer of this bank for over a year with money flowing in and out constantly. The clowns in PNC asked about my DL, my deposit history - fine However some nosy DEI hire had the audacity to ask what the withdrawal was for. This is clearly overstepping the banks legitimate interest in verifying my accounts and none of their damn business! I should have told them I was purchasing a Bordello! If you are not a customer of PNC, look elsewhere for better depositary institution. If you are a customer of PNC, and not tied to them with automatic deposits and withdrawals leave this nosy bank run by incompetent's and DEI personnel.

When I inquired about the reason, the 5-day hold changed to 13 days. That only happened because I made two trips back to the bank to inquire. Even though the payor bank had cleared the check many days prior, and PNC acknowledged that they knew that information, PNC still held onto the check. Despite several hours of effort, I never received a reason for the delays, excepting of course, that my comments had been noted. Of course, I closed the account. Not fair to the nice people that work in the local branch. Not even an apology from anyone involved. Incredible but from the other reviews, sounds about right. What is wrong with PNC?

Since the merger, they installed security walls of glass or plastic between the customer waiting and employees at the teller counter and basically gives the impression that "you are in a bad part of town" and "we can't trust the citizens in this area because our insurance is so cheap and ridiculous." The employees are wonderful, kind and helpful but the impression I get while visiting is of embarrassment on behalf of the bank. I DO NOT like the feeling I get when my bank acts like you are visiting a prison, what's next? Armed guards with machine guns? Sad and disheartening.

This place has REALLY gone downhill since my very first visit. The ONLY thing that keeps me…read morereturning is the fact it's the only branch of my bank that's somewhat close to where I work. The customer service here needs a lot of improvement, as does the speed of their service. It takes FOREVER to be acknowledged, let alone waited on, for one thing. Last time I came here to deposit my paycheck, I was spoken to in a very rude manner by the male teller in the drive-up. I didn't appreciate that or the fact that I sat in the drive-up for 20 MINUTES before anyone even noticed I was there and waiting! The other gripe is the fact that a car pulled up in the lane beside mine & was served right away. Then someone else pulled up in the ATM lane & I overheard a teller shooting the bull with the customer...all this while I was on my lunchbreak, having to hurry to get back to work, & having to wait!

(Note: No longer BBVA Compass) The lobby is absolutely stunning and would be a definite place to do business. ((Big sigh)) But....... I had an appointment and waited over 30 minutes; and I still would have had to wait longer. I told one of the tellers that I was leaving and she said, "but it won't be long". WHAT are you talking about? The least someone could have said to me, after waiting more than 5 minutes, is to acknowledge my presence or ask about my business. There are plenty of other places that will take my business. Appointment time overruns should be baked into the scheduling. But it also looks like a severe staff shortage.

A nice sofa with a newspaper. BBVA, cut staff and then came COVID. Everything thru the drive-thru staffed by one person. Slow. PNCwas the next name on the building. I had hope. That's been dashed. I recently went in, needing something notarized. Nope. Not available. 3 employees in a place that could accommodate 10+ easily. I asked to speak to the Manager. Well....she's only here occasionally. Where is she? At another branch about 15 minutes away. I was given a phone number and extension to call her. No answer and the voice mail wasn't working. And, naturally, there's no way to reach a regional manager to provide the gift of honest feedback. With regret, I'm done. Today I'm looking for a new place to bank. More than once I've left, telling whoever can hear "You might as well close this branch."
