Jeremy is perfect to have at your wedding or any event! You can definitely tell that him and his manager/wife, Kim, have done events like this before. He is very professional and passionate about his work. He has a large variety of music that you can personally select for him to play. We were able to break it down where we got to pick what songs we wanted to play before the wedding ceremony, during the wedding ceremony, and during cocktail hour. Jeremy is very flexible and will work with what you are looking for. We were able to send YouTube videos and songs of other pianists as reference for him, and it helped him tailor to our needs. His manager Kim is also a huuuge help! For our wedding, we wanted a couple things. We wanted to rent a baby grand piano for the ceremony and we wanted Jeremy to play with a cellist. We thought it would be a lot of work to find a company to rent a piano from, have it hauled over to our venue and then have them haul it back.... Not only that, we thought we'd have to find a cellist for him to play with! Kim made this entire process SUPER easy! With all the wedding planning we had to do, the last thing we wanted to do was add more stress to our list, but thankfully Jeremy and Kim had connections and coordinated all of that for us! We literally just told them what we visioned, and they made it happen! How amazing is that?! Because we used a baby grand piano for the ceremony, we had Jeremy use his Keyboard for cocktail hour to make the transition from the ceremony to cocktail hour smooth. Jeremy performed at my aunt's retirement home several months ago. This is not an easy audience as ages range from 75 to 90+. I agree with previous reviewers that he really has a keen grasp of his audience. He played show tunes and classics from the 40's and 50's while mixing in stories they could all relate to. Jeremy played during cocktail hour at my wedding this past Saturday, and he's the first review I'm writing after the big day for a very specific reason-- he is AMAZING. From the very start, his lovely wife Kim was prompt and professional in answering my initial inquiry and in being very transparent about prices and scheduling; she made the hiring/planning process incredibly easy and even shared Jeremy's extensive repertoire list with me so that my husband and I could have the option to pick and choose songs we love best (though ultimately we trusted Jeremy to read the room). On the day of the wedding, although I was upstairs at our reception venue in order to take photos, my husband and I could clearly hear Jeremy doing his thing on the piano downstairs, even taking it upon himself to start a bit before the scheduled time so that those guests who arrived early to cocktail hour could be entertained and feel welcomed; we received so many compliments on his performance from friends and family. Naturally, he's an incredibly talented pianist, but I was especially impressed by the fact that he so easily balances different eras and genres of music (playing, for instance, everything from Motown oldies to Elton John classics to contemporary Lady Gaga-- all of which our guests absolutely loved). Jeremy has a very dynamic and personable way of playing, too, and truly engages with those in the room so that the energy and good vibes are felt by all. For Christmas my brothers and I got our parents the gift of a private piano concert --- we spent a lot of time looking for the right person and ended up hiring Jeremy. Jeremy Weinglass is a very talented pianist and a magnificent performer! I can't say enough about him. I found Jeremy thru Yelp and was encouraged by all the great reviews so I submitted an inquiry form thru his website. Kim, Jeremy's wife, replied the next day. She called me and talked to me about my plans. I told her it was for a wedding celebration and that I had a song in mind I'd like Jeremy to play for the procession. Kim listened and brought up some things I wouldn't have thought of. She was very nice and easy to talk to and she helped me solidify the program. Jeremy didn't know the song I chose but was more than happy to learn it. I told Kim I have a friend who I'd like to sing the song and she explained Jeremy and my friend would need to meet once a few days before the wedding for a rehearsal. Kim asked for my friend's information so Jeremy could arrange the rehearsal with him directly. This was a big help because it was one less thing to worry about and you know when you are planning a wedding, you need to coordinate EVERYTHING. And this was not the only personal touch Jeremy and Kim have done for me. I came up with a plan to meet somewhere where I thought would be both convenient for my friend and Jeremy to rehearse but it didn't pan out. Kim explained there was a scheduling conflict and offered an alternative and waived the rehearsal fee. Who does that? It was a very nice gesture! Oh, and there's more. A couple of weeks before the wedding, I found out the provided piano at the wedding venue might need tuning at my own expense. I don't know anything about pianos whether they are in tune or not nor do I know somebody who does. So I emailed Kim and told her the situation. Kim talked to Jeremy and told me Jeremy would swing by the venue to check out the piano himself and let me know if it needed tuning. Again, what a tremendous gesture! That's what I call service. And one more thing, Kim emailed me a few days before the wedding to ask about the colors/theme of the wedding so Jeremy could coordinate his attire. People like Jeremy and Kim Weinglass were the reasons our wedding turned out perfect. Jeremy played some contemporary songs by Coldplay and Adele as we have requested. He played our wedding song flawless. As soon as Jeremy sat down at the piano, he instantly set the tone for the rest of the evening. And what a perfect, lovely wedding we had.
