Yumm! Glad my guy and I decided to stop by for some dinner before heading back home. While the Winter Harvest Salad was disappointing with its minuscule amount of each ingredient, the Grass Fed Beef Applewood Bacon & Onion Burger was mouthwateringly delicious! The bacon had a perfect crisp to it and was cooked perfectly. The truffle fries were also very good, but they got old after a while. Overall 4.5 stars. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

What a gem! We have been to Jeremy's a few times when we come to visit our friend's in the area, and it's always amazing! Cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff, and the menu have the perfect amount of variety. Every item we have tried has been amazing, full of flavor and quality ingredients. Most recently ordered the summer embers salad with chicken, the chicken was so perfectly done! Highly recommend!

We stopped here after hanging out at Fort Cross. It was fancier inside than we expected and didn't give mountain vibes so we ate outside. It was very pleasant. It's right next to the forest and trees so you can see it but covered and clean. We just got appetizers but they were awesome! We got mac&cheese and the bacon wrapped dates and I would highly recommend both. Service was good. People came out to check on us often even though we were outside.

Thank you and shout out to Chef Jeremy This is a little restaurant that has equal patio seating and inside seating both are wonderful . We were there Saturday night thank goodness we made a reservation for 530 they literally stopped taking reservations or letting anybody in past 6 o'clock they were just that busy so we really really strongly suggest you make a reservation. The food is fantastic. I can't stress that enough. We had a little bit of everything. We enjoyed the carrot ginger soup fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had. I wanted to lick the bottom of the ball, but I didn't wanna make a fool out of myself You must have the truffle fries !! do it for you... Onto the entrées, the burgers yes they are big. They are juicy and they are spectacular. We had the blue cheese on there and it was amazing. I also had the Scottish salmon. The fillet was so big. I was able to take some of it home and we enjoyed the chicken schnitzel With all of the delicious Copenhagen Ish sides. The service was attentive, even though they were slammed Saturday night . Plenty of parking. It's the only restaurant we will come back to Julien for.

Macaroni and Cheese. So creamy and good

Came here for dinner after making the dove out here to stay overnight. The restaurant only had one other couple in it when we got there but started to get packed after we left. We were seated right away and were starving! We ordered the Cremini Stuffed Mushrooms with Jarlsburg Blend Cheese, Malden Chardonnay & White Truffle Oil, the Grass-Fed Beef Applewood Bacon & Onion Burger and the Uncle Just Fried Chicken and an order of Macaroni and Cheese. The Cremini Stuffed Mushrooms were so good with such good flavor cooked in a cast iron which gave the cheese a nice crisp. The Macaroni and Cheese was so creamy and delicious. The burger patty in my burger was pretty small but it actually ended up being packed with flavor! The bacon was good perfectly and had great flavor too. The chicken sandwich was nice ans crispy with good flavor and the fires were cooked nicely and seasoned just enough with salt. I ordered a side of ranch that I dipped the fries in. Ranch Dip Score: 8.5/10 The only issue we had was that our server was very loud when she spoke to us. The restaurant only had one other table filled so it was pretty quiet and she was reading back out order to us so loudly that it was a bit embarrassing..

5 stars... We ended the night in Julian with dinner at Jeremy, and it was the perfect finish to our evening. The staff were friendly, the space cozy with live jazz, and the food was fantastic. Our group of four ordered two salads (Julian Apple and Harvest) and four mains: Catch of the Day (salmon), Meatloaf Ball, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Chicken Schnitzel. All were delicious, with the Cordon Bleu and salmon being our favorites. Portions were generous, and the dishes can be keto-friendly with their protein and zucchini sides. For dessert, we had the cheesecake of the day (chocolate), though the carrot cake was sold out. There's ample parking, including disabled spaces. I will for sure dine there again if I am in the area.

Great spot in the area. It can get on the pricey side. Burgers are know to be the best in the area! I would go again.

Tried multiple times over the years since folks rave about the food, but its consistently disappointing and this last time warranted a review. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm and sat outside on the patio. Our server (forgot her name) was extremely friendly and personable. We ordered a bottle of Viognier from a local winery. The wine came out and was dark yellow with slimy sediment, not a crisp/clear Viognier. It was old or not stored properly, it was terrible. We each had one sip and that was enough. At the same time our deviled eggs (the special) came out. Inedible, disgusting presentation and horrible flavor. The 'bacon jam' was close to mushy spam TERRIBLE. Our server came back asking how everything was. We relayed the experience and asked for our bill as we were going to leave. She removed the almost full plate of eggs and returned with our bill. We ate 2 out of the 6 eggs and didn't drink any of the wine. Our bill was in full, even after our conversation about the eggs and the full bottle remaining of wine. We just paid/tipped and walked out. $70 later we walked across the street and had better wine, a great pizza, and delicious salad. So sad since restaurants in the area are scarce.

@jeremysonthehill has this cozy vibe with very friendly atmosphere, the food is cooked fresh and served deliciously to your table. It is a must go place when you are in Julian.

We decided to go on a Thanksgiving day road trip to Julian. Why not? Most of the town was closed, but Jeremy's was open. They were ready for Thanksgiving and had a limited menu with fixed prices. But we were allowed to order apps, which worked out perfectly. Let's start with their fabulous outdoor patio. We're always with a dog, so pet-friendly is key, but the covered patio has a much warmer feel than most. We'd sit there without the dog. Great apps, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy, and the bisque delicious. Lastly, everybody is friendly. It must be the mountain air. ;) Jeremy's is a must when visiting Julian.

I visited Jeremy's on a week day ao it was fairly quiet. I liked the interior decor. My server was friendly and made honest recommendations. I had their popular Brussels sprouts app which was good. Fresh bread is always a win. The salad was also fresh with seasonal ingredients. My one complaint is that the sauces came in PLASTIC ramekins. If this restaurant is more on the finer side of dining, real ramekins are a must.

    Lobster bisque

The restaurant had a 4.6 rating on Google which attracted us to it. Furthermore, their menu cover indicated that the chef was a Le Cordon Bleu graduate which gave us an overinflated sense of excitement and expectation. The restaurant was quaint with low ceilings and simple, but cozy furnishings. The low ceiling fostered a louder atmosphere making any meaningful conversations difficult. Our waitress was sweet and friendly, but became less attentive the busier she got. The food was "rosemary" forward. I'll explain but first, let me tell you about the dish I thought was delicious. Their lobster bisque appetizer was well balanced. It was creamy, deeply savory with a prominent lobster flavor. Now back to the rosemary...we ordered their French bread and butter. The inside was fluffy while the outside was crunchy. Nice textural contrast. The bread was sprinkled with rosemary and there was settled rosemary in the melted butter. Not a terrible start, but it was too much rosemary for us. For our entrees we ordered, ribeye with potatoes and veggies, filet with potatoes and veggies as well as the chicken finger and fries. The ribeye was unmemorable and the filet had more sinew than one would expect in a filet. The steaks were seasoned and topped with a rosemary sprig. That incessant rosemary leaves an impression on your palette. My filet was placed on top of my mashed potatoes which rendered them moist from the steak juices. On the other entree, the mashed potatoes were off to the side and they were gummy and dry. The veggie side was flavorful, but very oily. My daughter said her chicken tenders were overcooked and complained that her fries tasted of rosemary. For dessert, we ordered their cast iron apple cobbler. Sadly, this was the most disappointing of all. The crumble top was too hard, the dish was too large and the apples were vapid. It lacked depth of flavor and that feeling of comfort that one associates with such dish. Additionally, I ordered a cup of coffee to accompany the dessert and my cup was served with a beautiful ring of lipstick. First place to ever serve me one this way and I've eaten at some mediocre joints. We paid $300+ with tip and we left feeling unsatisfied. The restaurant benefits from being one of the few "high end" establishments in the area, but set them side to side with comparable places and it fails to measure up.

That said, I do want to clarify that, from what I observed, we were not the last table to be seated. I understand it was a busy Fourth of July, and I know everyone can make mistakes. My disappointment wasn't because of the wait alone--it was because my order was incorrect multiple times, and I was eventually asked again what I had ordered even though it was just biscuits and gravy. By the time my food finally arrived, the experience had already been affected. I don't expect perfection, especially on a busy holiday. I simply shared my honest experience and hope it helps improve service for future guests. -------------------- We ordered our food and my friend received her meal, but my order of biscuits and gravy didn't come out correctly. The server acknowledged the mistake, saying it was her fault and that she would get it fixed right away. Unfortunately, the wrong order was brought out, and the staff had to come back and ask what I had originally ordered. It was a simple order--just biscuits and gravy--so it was frustrating that it was difficult to get right. When the correct food finally arrived, the experience had already been delayed and a bit discouraging. At that point, I was honestly just over it, especially when I was asked if I wanted a box, as if we were finished. Overall, the food was fine once it arrived, but the service experience that day was disorganized and left a negative impression.

We stumbled in here by accident because the bbq beer place nextdoor was busy and we were in a hurry and said this Rong-place makes ribs. What a mistake, and they don't even serve beer. We spent $60 on garbage food. The oven-cooked fall-of-the-bones pork ribs were sad, gray, tasteless, and slathered with their "Bumsteer" sauce - a sad attempt to make homemade bbq sauce out of cheap ketchup and vinegar. The sides included a dried out cornbread muffin, sour creamy coleslaw, and homemade baked beans that were basically canned beans in ketchup. Basically inedible. I've seen enough Gordon Ramsey to know this restaurant does not have an actual cook with any culinary experience whatsoever. They should be ashamed selling such garbage (especially with no beer to try to wash it down). I hate wasting $ on garbage. Do yourself a favor and learn from our sad lesson. Bumsteer sauce? And the tables are a little sticky. All forgivable grievances really if the food was mid to okay tasting, but it wasn't, so yikes. I ordered the French dip sandwich ($16.95 I think). The sandwich comes with sliced smoked tri-tip topped with a slice of cheese + grilled onions on a toasted French roll. It's served with a side of fries and a cup of au jus. Initially, it looked promising, however, I heavily suspect that sliced tri-tip was just deli meat in disguise. Moreover, the au jus was incredibly salty. It. Was. So. Salty. Without the au jus, the sandwich was just a sandwich and not a French dip. Overall, the kitchen needs to exercise more qual control. Both orders of fries for the table were severely undercooked. And the buffalo burger was burnt. There is litany of things that Rongbranch could do better, so come at your own risk. Strategically eat here if you need a bathroom break or a break from the crowds. However I advise against making Rongbranch your dining destination while visiting Julian.

They made me feel valued as a customer and even offered to let us dine inside with our dogs. Out of respect for other guests, we chose to sit outside on their lovely patio. Everything about this place was wonderful--the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the service, and how quickly our food arrived. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. I even brought friends who had never been here before, thinking it could become one of our regular stops when we're out hitting the trails. Instead, it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth... and not just from the food. Waitress: Where do I even start. She claimed she was hard of hearing--but her attitude spoke loud and clear. Tossing menus on the table, aggressively slamming salsa down, and getting snarky over being off because our party count was off by one person. Seriously? It took two seconds to adjust the table, but apparently that was just too much. Yes, she technically did her job... but with such a cold, unwelcoming, and rigid attitude that it made the whole experience uncomfortable. What really stood out? We were there first and ready to order, yet she chose to take care of every smaller table that came in after us. No communication, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. Just ignored. Basic courtesy clearly isn't part of the service here. And trust me--I used to be a waitress. I handled large parties all the time and actually communicated with my tables. It's not that hard. Honestly, if gratuity hadn't already been forced onto the bill, she would've gotten $0. The only pleasant person we encountered was the busser--quick, friendly, and actually seemed like he wanted to be there. Maybe swap their roles, because he outperformed her by a mile. Food: Let's talk about the food... if that's what we're calling it. Everything came out cold. Not "warm-ish," not "could be hotter"... just straight up cold. It felt like our plates were sitting under a heat lamp for way too long before making it to the table. One "white" friend asked to have her meal fixed--fine, no problem. But when another "Hispanic" friend asked the same thing? Suddenly there was attitude, menu slamming, and mumbling under her breath. So... what exactly was the difference? Why the inconsistency and hostility? If the kitchen is that backed up, maybe management should step in and help instead of letting food die in the window. Just a thought. Final Thoughts: This place had potential... but that waitress single-handedly ruined it. We'll be taking our group (and our money) elsewhere--Dudley's Bakery is looking like a much better option moving forward. I usually bring large groups out here, so this isn't a small loss. Unfortunately, if this is the level of service they're okay with, this place isn't going to improve anytime soon. At this point, it's less "Farmhouse charm" and more "junky barn energy."

Putting the cream cheese on the side worked, I tried it and ate it with most of my sandwich. Don't think I needed it it every bite though. Coleslaw was really good! Loved the old toys they have displayed, even picked up some jax for my mom. That's her childhood claim to fame. The train that goes around up-top is fun too! Lots of historical items and pictures. It's an old place that's holding it down. Glad I checked it out.
