Ordered Oxtail because it's one of my favorite Jamaican dishes with rice and peas (red beans) and it was BUSSIN' BUSSIN'! Cabbage went hard as well! I recommend these 3 together, or if you prefer chicken over beef, then that Jerk Chicken! Tasted like it was on an open grill flame and it that grilled spot taste. Also comes with its own bbq sauce that just gave it even more flavor! I will be ordering again. I ordered from Door Dash and they gave me sold permanent for business. The only thing I didn't like so much was the mac and cheese. It was not up to par with homemade standards in my opinion but I only got it as a fall back for the cabbage, if the cabbage was t good, but it was!!! Next time I will add pics. If I could give this company zero stars, I absolutely would. I've ordered from here before and had a great experience, but this time was a complete disaster. I ordered through Uber Eats, and when I arrived, they told me they were out of noodles and couldn't make my order. Then, they suddenly said they could make it after all. When I opened the to-go box, I was disgusted. The food looked like it had been cooked in old, greasy sauce. It was terrible--nothing like the delicious meal I had last time. I even have a picture of the original dish, which looks completely different now, with the food appearing yellow and unappetizing. Went to Jerky's on a late night run at about 10:15PM on a Saturday night. Upon arriving into the establishment the decor was nice and the person taking the order provided great customer service. I ordered the Escovitch fish which was Red Snapper. The order took about 30 minutes to prepare and I must say the dish was worth the wait! Pictured is the Escovitch Red Snapper (2 large pieces), cabbage, rice and peas with an order of festivals (not pictured). For $30 the portions were perfect and it left me with basically an entire meal the next day. The Chef came out and personally brought my meal to the car once it was ready to ensure I enjoyed my meal. The food was pretty good. Just enough spice. The rice is spicy too. Plantain weren't as sweet as I'd like, but they were cooked right. Located in the Short North. very disappointed in this $25 oxtail plate. the rice and peas lacked flavor. There were more oxtail bones than actual oxtail. The oxtail provided was small in portion and miniature in size. I would have not have sold this plate to a customer. Jamaican beef patties were great! read more

Will NOT be back. I tried to give this place multiples chances order after order but they make no changes. Upon telling them I cannot eat peppers or onions they're always putting them in my food. Orders take obnoxiously long. They'll tell you 20 minutes and then your food won't be ready for another hour. They do nothing to alleviate orders they've made incorrectly. I tried the large jerk chicken and really wasn't impressed it was bland and dry and lacked soul. For starters they give you a little cup of jerk sauce, which would've been a huge life savor had they doused the chicken with jerk sauce or threw in a couple extra jerk sauce cups. The rice and beans needed it a bit more of flavor it was just to bland for me. And to me the most important dish the cabbage again it really just lacked soul and flavor. Disappointed.. the first time we order from them we waited 45 mins and on the way to picking up the order and already paid online for it they called us and told us they were out of the jerk lobster and the jerk chicken. They only had fried chicken which we just cancelled the order and got our money back. Now this second try we ordered jerk lobster, jerk chicken and fried chicken for my little one. We get there and they gave the girl in front of us part of our order and they then told us we would have to wait longer because the mess up. Which was very frustrating.. then once we got our food, got home I noticed there was more rice and beans than anything else. I would definitely not recommend the lobster as it was very very small and the little bit of meat it provided was tough and dry. I almost feel scammed for paying that much for lobster, it was not fulfilling what so ever. If you've been to Jamaica and had local Jerk, you will appreciate Jerky's in the Short North. Authentic ( except for pimento smoke and leaves) grilled Jerk chicken that is moist, full of complex flavor accompanied by a side of sauce I would describe as a sweet heat but not quite too much heat. Portions are generous, sides are made from scratch and the ingredients are chopped, sliced and diced in-house. And, for those who do not know, the "peas" as in Rice and Peas ( a tradition Jamaican side) are actually kidney beans. Delicious. The large portion is plenty for two adults, however, we got two large portions planning for great leftovers. Word of caution, when they say they open at 11, they admit it's more like 11ish. Parking can be a pain so if you're not local, I'd call ahead and take someone with you and drop you at curb to run in. If you've never had authentic Jerk prepared by a Jamaican Chef, in Columbus, Ohio no less, do yourself a favor. Check this place out - Carryout Only. I will be back!
