Who sets a hot sub on a cold soda and lets it sit for an hour? These guys.... SMH food was ice cold.

Got two subs and both were amazing! Francis was so helpful and walked me through the options so I could decide what I wanted.

Clean store, perfectly proofed and baked bread, fresh veg. Makes me miss the hoagie shops back in Delaware. Bravo! Job well done.

Brunch is serious business in Augusta and after one visit to The Brunch House of Augusta I…read morecompletely understand why this place stays packed. While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

I ended up getting their special, catfish poboy...and oh boy, was that the best decision I made all weekend haha. So so so good, highly recommend it.

And the pizza is $1.99 a slice? Count me out. But alias, my spouse chipped away at my foodie critic wall long enough that I finally said I would give it a try. And try I did. I ordered the hotdog and got a drink (rumor has it they are switching from Pepsi to Coke products in 2025-fingers crossed). But I also saw they have soft serve ice cream that you can add fruit to so strawberry and vanilla ice cream was also on the order. I was impressed by the condiments (which are of great importance when any establishment serves hot dogs and/or burgers). Chopped onion, ketchup, mustard, and relish (love my relish). The size and observable quality of the hotdog and bun seemed up to par. I had read (one must research before just venturing into new food territory) that this hotdog from Nathan's. True or not, it is does look and taste similar. Again the price point added to the experience, but what of this dessert? Would it taint the newly found joy now absent from my sight? No, no, a hundred times no. It only heighten it. The smoothness and richness of the ice cream made me want an entire pint (or gallon/but who's counting ounces here). Delicious! I have since returned for the pizza, the chicken wrap, and tried the chocolate ice cream with strawberries. All were top notch and all brought with them a side of regret that my foodie stubbornness has costs me years of tasty treats. Don't make my mistake. Stop, order, and eat today!

It is a pretty big space with tables and booths, we went around 3pm on a Sunday and they was a consistent busy crowd to come in and out. They have hot food and cold snacks like ice cream, mangonadas; etc. and 2 areas you can order from for each of those. The manager/owner gentleman that was there was super friendly, helped us fix our order when they made a mistake checking us out. I have no complaints about the customer service here. For drinks we got the Medium strawberry agua fresca ($6.50) with boba ($0.96) and a Medium horchata ($5.95). For food we got the steak quesadilla ($11.75), tacos al pastor ($12.22) and a queso ($3.25). I took 1 star off because of two things: - the queso was SO watery, we didn't even finish it lol very underwhelming - for 2 meals, 2 drinks & queso it was ~$40.00, I'm from TX and that just seems like highway robbery I'm glad that I got a chance to try them out, I will probably only come here for a snack every once in a while if those prices aren't as high.

Perusing the store for a long time, I ordered a milkshake but ended up receiving just ice cream due to a miscommunication that I didn't want to push to fix. My pistachio ice cream was okay, but not really worth the trouble I went through to get it. That had some interesting options, and notably are a grill as well as a dessert place and I think you can get tofu tacos. I may well give them another shot and hope for a better experience.
