I'm a huge fan of Jersey Mike's. Meats are sliced to order and the veggies and bread are always fresh. The #13 (Italian sub) Mike's Way is my default. I never order anything else because the sandwich is delicious. It can get a little slow when it's crowded, but that's to be expected. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I dare you to try to finish their large sub. It can get a little pricey, but it's worth it! read more

I was just here a few days ago and it was okay. I ordered a #42 Chicken Cheesesteak with chipotle mayo. I thought the sandwich was large until I realized it was mostly bread. I picked off most of the bread. Sandwich was great and there was a steady stream of customers coming in so I'm guessing it's pretty popular. Been dying to try this place, but it's kind of out of the way of my apartment, so I finally made it in tonight. Staff was very polite. They slice the meat to order, which is pretty neat, but kinda took a long time. My only beef is that I got my sandwich home and the bread was SO soggy because the kid doing the oil and vinegar went gangbusters on my sub. Me and my son LOVE this place! Never disappointed with the sandwiches. They're always bursting with filling and the Italian oil is just the icing on the cake. The guys are really nice and FAST and can accommodate you in your tastes. Ex. I can only take so many of the banana peppers but we do admit that it adds to the taste so we usually ask for literally 2 slices of banana peppers; one on both ends of the sandwich and they do it with a chuckle Very flavorful TREAT. I have heard a lot about this franchise and never tried it. Decided to take myself for a treat on Saturday at around 1:30 p.m., as I was in the area. I was greeted by an associate, who was helping a customer with a cold sub. He asked me if he could help me and I told him that I was interested in the # 17 Mike's Famous Philly. While still helping the only other customer, the associate proceeded to tell me what was in it the sandwich and I told him that he was correct, that was the one I wanted. Then he told me that it was a warm sandwich, I told him that he was correct. There was another associated that seemed busy doing something. The associated said something to her and her reply was what shocked me. She told the male associate that she could not help me as she was making 13 sandwiches. I thanked everyone and left the store. P.S. The only other customer in the store was still at the counter waiting for her sandwich. I DO NOT recommend this location. read more

Placed an online order for pickup. I get there 10-15 min after the promised ready time and they didnt even start my order. Defeats the whole purpose of ordering online, and the store was empty. The employee claims he accidently threw away my ticket however when i said i was here to pick up an order they knew my name and exactly what i ordered. Very disappointing visit. Will stick to other establishments such as Firehouse Subs in the future based on the poor customer service and professionalism during my visit. read more

Best cheesesteaks around without actually driving to Philly or NJ. The cold subs look good too but I always get the Big Kahuna when I come here. Rolls are fresh and and the amount of meat on the cheesesteak is generous....about twice that of Jerrys Subs and Pizza (the DC area cheesesteak chain) for the same price. read more

I was an employee working at Jersey Mike's I worked there then I quit because the manager lartasha or what ever her name is was very disrespectful snatching stuff out my hand telling me to use my common sense talking about me rolling her eyes and having a very nasty attitude tworeds me. I had just started working there and I was in training so I thought, but she never trained me at all instead she was VERY disrespectful unprofessional and she needed to Not be in the position she is in. The Hiring manager above her was also Very Disrespectful wasent trying to work with me or give me hours snatching stuff out my hand telling me to use my common sense and not trying to train me to the fullest compacity.when it was time to watch the training Videos the dumb unprofessional manager lartasha would stand over me and give me a very nasty look as if she was looking down on me. Also in front of customers making rude comments and just being plain nasty and disrespectful. Another young lady in their she was in high school and she also was very disrespectful and nasty another young lady that worked their another highschooler stood next to me and slammed the paper down and snatched the knife out of my hand huffing and puffing but it's funny because like I said I was NEW I didn't know how to do alot of things. I've been here maybe a dozen times since it opened. They used to hand out cards for a free drink and chips if you ordered a sandwich back then, and since I worked in that shopping center, the cards were often placed under my windshield. I get one thing when I go to Jersey Mike's and that is a giant Chipotle Cheesesteak, I think its a #43, and its just a cheesesteak with grilled peppers, onions, and a chipotle mayo. Their giant subs are enormous, so much so that I usually can't finish a whole one with both drink and chips. And that's saying something, because I always clean my plate! I'd had cheesesteaks before, usually at local chains that specialize in pizza, and of course I've gotten them from both Gino's and Pat's up in Philly; but this is where I would go every time I want a cheesesteak. I am part of the "soft-bread" camp, whereas some people prefer crustier rolls for their sandwich. This place has fantastic soft pillowy rolls that I think make every sandwich they serve better. Even though its teenagers that work there, I always find the service to be pretty friendly. I rarely dine in, but the chairs and tables there are clean and inviting while you wait for your sandwich to be made; and they bring it right to you, where they could just as easily call your name and have you pick up your sandwich from the counter. Hands down, if you want a cheesesteak in Bowie, or anywhere within 20 miles of a Jersey Mikes (I know they have ones in Owings Mills, Timonium, and Dover, DE), this is the place to go. read more

One time they didn't have the chips my daughter likes on the floor so they went in the back and brought her out 2 bags. I first saw a Jersey Mike's at the Orland airport on Tuesday, but didn't have time to place an order, but the restaurant concept caught my attention (for preparing subs I'd actually want to eat) despite not having heard of it before. When I returned to Maryland I saw there was one in Bowie and stopped by there after work to grab a couple of sandwiches to take home and try. First off, the staff couldn't be more professional and nice (like others have said, it's comparable to Chick Fil A that way). The ingredients looked far superior to Subway and better than Jimmy Johns. The guy helping me was real nice explaining everything to me as I told him it was my first time at a Jersey Mike's. I got the Roast Beef and Provolone done Mike's Way, and a Chicken Parm. The roast beef was first rate and rare, and they don't put on mayo/pickles or other stuff I don't like unless you specifically ask (which is good because I don't care for most condiments, etc, and have had too many screwed up sandwiches elsewhere). The Mike's Way is some oil and red wine vinegar on top of your lettuce tomato and onion (like getting your salad), and it's just how I like a sub...perfect! The Chcken Parm was better than most all Italian restaurant versions of this sandwich, except for maybe one or two places in Brooklyn, so this is high praise indeed. I would love to repeat these soon, but I want to try some of the other sandwiches next time. Excellent sub shop with a great staff that look/act like they enjoy working there. A fun place to go, especially if you live nearby. Cold subs are certainly far better than Subway, Jimmy Johns, or any other chain I know of. That said, they are a little pricey. I don't really care for cheesesteaks, but people seem to like theirs. Not many options in Bowie to compare but the sandwiches were better than Subway. The meat was of good quality but the cheese has no taste and the bread should be better. As a native Jersey Girl, the subs are all about good bread and quality meat. I have given only two stars because 1) the place was not clean 2) the lettuce needs to be green and not white 3) during each of my three visits, the young workers were rude to patrons. On one occasion a customer kindly asked for only one half of the bread and the worker told her they were busy and would do it one time but the next time her order would be rejected. He then continued to berate other customers in the line if they asked for less oil/vinegar, etc. I thought perhaps we were all being filmed for one of those "punked" reality shows. Customer service 101 training has not been adequate or the owner/manager lacks this value. read more

As someone who is a native New Yorker, grew up in New Jersey and went to college near Philadelphia, I was used to very excellent subs, bagels, etc. I've been in the DC area for more than 16 years, so when I first had Jersey Mike's which was a regular Club Sub on white it was like a mind altering flashback- I was like OMG I don't know what kind of subs I had been eating all these years, but the Jersey Mike sub brought it all back. The sub was perfect. thinly sliced onions, lettuce tomatoes, and of course the requisite bacon to top off any club sandwich. Since discovery Jersey Mike's I can't bring myself to go back to the likes of subway, etc. its no comparison. The shop in Bowie is good operation, although not as large as the one over in Laurel( yes I have tried both..lol) I think service needs to be a little faster, but since they only recently opened I figure you gotta give it a few more months. The staff is friendly, and helpful. Portions were generous and well priced. I generally get the Club Sub, but I have also had the Philly which is pretty decent for this region. Overall a very reasonably priced alternative to the other sub shops and the food actually fresh and top quality deli selections. -Give it a shot. read more

The sub was good but service was not! First off, there was a person who didn't work there hanging out and talking with the employee responsible for taking orders. He didn't even make eye contact as he asked if I knew what I wanted. One of the girls assembling subs was very good... the other, not so much.
