I've never been to Jersey Mike's before. But my boss and I were talking about cheesesteaks last week. He said if he's not going to Philly, this is a decent substitute that he can get anywhere. The #17 Mike's Famous Philly. It was pretty good. Nice bread, nice meat, nice veg, nice cheese. Good service, employees were professional and friendly. I just marked down one star because it was pretty pricey. $13.62 for a regular sandwich and a soda. Ouch. It was good, but today I went to Schnucks and got a foot long sub and a soda for about $6 that I will have for two meals, so I couldn't justify to my budget coming here often. read more

Haven't been into a Jersey Mikes in years. Was out shopping and stumbled across this one. Got a giant grilled chicken with mushroom, onions, jalapeños and extra American cheese. On wheat, so it was healthy! Split it with my wife along with some bbq chips. Sandwich was great, gooey, cheeses and spicy. Exactly what we were looking for! The only bad things were that the sandwich was just cut in half, instead of 4 pieces like pictured, and the tables were pretty messy. Both not a huge deal, but not perfect. Will be back! read more

With all the Danny Devito hoopla, we have a new JM's in Ballwin. My wife and I tried it this week. She had a turkey sandwich with lettuce & tomato. When she got home the bread was so soggy from the lettuce being wet, she had to use bread we had at home. My buffalo chicken sub barely had a buffalo taste to it. Jersey Mikes is great about always having gluten free options. If they don't have gluten free bread, there's always an option to make your sandwich into a salad. The meat and everything on the sandwich is fresh and tastes amazing. I will say, their gluten free bread is pretty dry. We work close by and have ordered carry out 3 times. Twice, the order was incorrect. The first time, we let it go. The second time, the order was so wrong 2 people could not eat their sandwiches. I called the Manager and he said he could remake the order if we could run back over or he would issue a refund. Our lunch break was over so we opted for the refund. That was on March 7th, 2023. Tomorrow will be one month and STILL NO REFUND...I lose faith in a restaurant when they consistently mess up an order but being LIED to is an absolute deal breaker. I just learned about Jersey Mikes a few weeks ago. My office had them cater lunch and the cookies were amazing! I asked about the restaurant and heard they give you a free cookie plater when you send $75. Well that to me makes it worth it! Today I decided to stop in the restaurant and I was greeted by friendly workers. I was surprised to see the menu. There is much more than what we normally have catered and few bread choices. Anyways, I placed my ordered and the wait for my food was super quick. The subs are great. They have their own style. Simple but tasty. Sometimes I whole-heartedly believe that chivalry might be dead then I am pulled to some form of alternate reality where people are once again wonderful creatures. I undoubtedly still don't believe this so once in a while, I do feel like I have entered an alternate reality... Bizarro world if you must. This place could be one of them lurking in a black hole. The staff were fantastic, smiling, attentive and plain ol' wonderful! It was my first visit EVER to a Jersey Mike's and it just happened to have been the day when they were donating 100% of their sales to Charity (March 30th). I overheard the manager say their sales of the day at that particular store was being donated to Shriner's. What a grand idea! I sure hope they made a sizable amount for Charity thay day. I ordered a turkey wrap with honey mustard sauce. They actually slice your meat to order and then build your sub or wrap. When I was at the counter ready to pay, she asked me about some loyalty program and I told her I've never been to a Jersey Mike's before and she said I get a free cookie or brownie. What?! Am I dreaming? Then this gentleman handed me a coupon for a free drink and chips for another visit and handed the other clients the same coupon as well. Another gentleman handed me my somehow well-earned brownie since I don't like cookies. I came out of the sub shop in disbelief, walked out to the parking lot where someone was parked really close to my car in a very odd angle (obviously whoever the individual was, made zero consideration for other people). Wow can't say enough good things about this place. One part of my job entails providing lunch for everyone on our jobsite. I was waiting for a call back from a pizza place (that also delivered the food about an hour late the day before) and never received it so I saw the car wrapped in Jersey Mike by the road and decided to give them a try. And damn I'm glad I did. It was so simple and quick to place my order with them. I placed an order of 65 box lunches. The owners came to our job site delivered the lunches and set up the lunches and everything for us!!! They were super nice. A co worker and I enjoyed the lunch so much we went back there that night after work. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our order. If you look at some of my other reviews you it won't take a long time to see that I can be very critical. I give 10/10 for these guys give them a shot at catering too !!! Had a slightly odd moment here today. I went in at 11 am and ordered a sandwich and drink to go. When I went to get my drink, turned out there were no lids. I walked back to the counter area and told them they were out of lids, thinking they might be able to get one for me, and at least with the lunch rush approaching they would want to be aware and re-stock...but the guy just looked at me like I was weird and said "Yeah" and then eventually he said something about how he didn't know what they had over there. He just gave me a vibe like "That's not my problem, why are you telling me this?" And none of the other workers did anything either. It just seemed weird that they didn't seem to care at all that customers wouldn't be able to put lids on their to-go drinks, especially with the 12 O'clock lunch rush coming soon. read more

We come to this jersey mikes often. It's close to our home and we really enjoy the sandwiches. The people are usually very nice, the food is delicious, and the store is clean. We love to get the chicken philly on rosemary parm bread. We often take advantage of the frequent coupons I receive in emails as well as the double points you receive on Tuesday for being part of their club. Today we walked into this location and ended up leaving hungry and we were very disappointed. For an issue that is out of the control of the workers and the general management, we did not order our lunch and ended up going to eat at the competitor. We walked into the restaurant and immediately we were hit with the smell of rotting eggs. A smell so strong it made my grumbling stomach turn. Immediately I lost my appetite. We stood towards the back of the store trying to figure out what we wanted for lunch, but the smell continued to overwhelm us. We walked towards the front and asked "do you smell that? Like suplhur or rotting eggs". They explained it was t anything they were cooking or food but it was the drains in the complex. The stores on either side of them are also having the issue. All of the employees were very friendly and apologetic and they seemed they were just as bothered, but not working in the smell all day we were completely overwhelmed. They told us it may have something to do with the chemicals that the salon beside them were pouring down their drains, either way we couldn't eat there and smell that smell so we said we would take out food to go. Trying to regain my hunger, and decide what I could eat... We stood there for a while.. and then finally decided that we couldn't eat the food they were serving. We walked out without ordering. Your employees were very friendly and apologetic, but this is not something that can be overlooked. I hope to never have to walk in and experience that again, but it was strong enough for me to believe the store should be closed until it was dealt with. I hope someone handles it or they find a new location because you can't serve food in a place like that. read more

I liked the sandwich I ordered so much the first time I visited, that I've gotten the same thing every time: turkey breast and provolone with tomatoes and lettuce (no onions). We tried Jersey Mike's for the first time a little over a year ago. They were having a special day where they were donating all their profits to a charity. How cool is that? We were blow away with how good the Philly Cheese Steak was. It's called Mike's Special, I believe. We have gone back to this same location in Des Peres 5 or 6 times since then and also go to Jersey Mike's if we're traveling and the city has one. But more importantly, what I want to add is something regarding this particular location. The manager (I'm assuming it's the manager) is outstanding. I would go back just to give him the business. The way he talks to his employees is so respectful. The way he talks to the customers is personable and respectful. There was an employee sweeping the floor who looked like he was new and needed some help on what to do. The way the manager talked to him to teach him was so great. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and while the place was busy, it was not at all chaotic like most places are. Everyone was so friendly when we came in. A man named Joe greeted us sincerely when we walked in the door. We went to the end of the line and waited for just a moment before a man named Greg greeted us and took our order. In between a lady behind the counter smiled at us and greeted us. I can't remember a time when we felt so welcomed within such a short amount of time. And it's not like a forced welcome, but a sincere, happy to have us welcome. Now for the food. I got a giant philly and my wife got a club sub. Man, Greg was not lying when he told me I would really like the philly. It was everything that a philly should be; soft bread, hot steak and creamy cheese blended with onion and pepper. Greg even gave my child a free cookie which I tasted and it was amazing. My wife's sub club was fantastic and she has been here several times this week (practically every day at lunch since her first visit). My family and I went to the Des Peres location tonight and had EXCELLENT customer service! I have celiacs and was 1st impressed that they had gluten free bread. Then after I ordered my sandwich I was asked if it was an allergy or preference.
