I dont know why we keep trying, well actually yes I do, because there isn't much for food in Windham, and we love Jersey Mikes, but the Windham store is absolutely awful every time we go. Mobile orders, we place them and every time we go to get them there is no people in the front and our sandwiches are sitting on the counter half done. The orders are always mixed up, the employees are extremely rude. My "sub in a tub" tonight. The only thing consistent with this Jersey Mikes location is its just always bad. Atleast this time I got lettuce. Told sandwiches and "tub" would be done at 6:05, he got it at 6:40. I would understand if it was busy but the place was empty and half finished order just sitting on the counter with no employees is silly. read more

The orders where forgotten so continue questions asked or they prepared what "they" thought they remembered. We were asked for our names that were added to the order, wrong name entered to checks. I bragged to my wife how good this place is in Windham Maine. So she agreed to try it. As we entered, no one was there to take our order. I could see in the kitchen a girl eating directly out of a gallon ice cream container. When she finally got her face out of the ice-cream. She came out with a moith full. Her English was aweful. My wife wanted a MINI and she didnt know what that was. All the while ethnic music was nlasting from th3 kitchen (not English). We couldnt communicate with her at all She made my wife a regular because we could explain the difference. When cutting the bread she stuck her thumb right through the top.of the loaf. I have never been anywhere with less of a sense of urgency. There were 3 people making sandwiches and I timed 15 seconds for the girl to place JUST the tomatoes on the sandwich while she just looked around. Nobody smiles, makes eye contact or interacts. I've been here twice. The first time we order the steak and cheese sandwiches and they were good. Service was slow but I didn't mind waiting. We've had Jersey Mikes at other locations and the sandwiches have been full of meat and really good. We decided to try one more time at this Windham location. We spent almost $40.00, ordered what they call gigantic steak and cheese sandwiches. When we unwrapped the sandwiches there was not much meat or cheese. One end of a sandwich had no filling. The fault at this and most locations is poor middle and upper management. No one making under $20/hr cares about your sandwich as there are no incentives in place for them to do so. I made $17/hour there and I was making more than the very hard-working refugee shift lead who had to come in at any hour of the day. I don't want to say racist but they clearly take advantage when they can. I understand the manager doesn't manage this location anymore because of complaints from employees and customers and alleged investigation of child labor laws but he still manages other locations. Tips. I hate this BS. This is companies tricking the customer in paying for their lack of adequate wages. Do you tip at McDonalds? Subs are great but fuck these places. This place is simply incapable of making the sandwich you order online. Since opening, they have consistently demonstrated a staggering inability to read what is on the order and then make it into a sandwich. Despite almost weekly turnover, they never fail to fail completely. read more

The sandwiches are good. That is why I have been there several times. The issue is the service. Last night around 5:30 p.m. I drove to get a sub. They were out of white bread which is not the first time this has happened to me. Sometimes they are out of white bread, sometimes you have a wait close to a half hour while the bread bakes. They almost never have enough help. They always put the slowest person putting the condiments on the subs or at the register. Sometimes they have a full staff however it seems to me it takes even longer to get your sandwich. If you order a hot sub you better bring a snack because they make them one at a time, even if the order is for 4 steak subs. Same issue if you order a bowl. Takes forever. I will most likely continue to go there, I will just add 20 minutes to my timeline. read more

To start the food itself is good and stands with the Jersey Mike's that I've been to around the country. The reason for two stars to me was the awkward service and attitude from what appeared to be the manager on staff this day. Personally, I'm not an awkward person but as soon as I walked in, I greeted the person sitting at the cash register and proceeded to wait for a few minutes walking to the order window and back to the register asking if I was to order there or at the end. Being one of two customers in the entire shop at the time I figured hey maybe if you see someone who is confused or is waiting you might greet them and ask them what they would want to eat. The two gentlemen who are making the sandwiches on the cold bar, and the one gentleman who is making the hot sandwiches in the back had a great attitude and were there to help, but the one individual was not. I did notice that the cashier/manager had an attitude with the two guys on the cold bar as well. Another customer came in an older gentleman with his daughter, and suddenly this man kicked into customer service mode with yes sir, and have a great day, etc. I felt as though I was not seen when I came here not sure what the problem was but I do not think that this particular manager/cashier is fit for a customer service job maybe something not customer facing is a better option for him. Overall, the store was very clean and the cold bar was extremely clean cutting boards and everything was pristine I would come here again, but I am hoping to have a better experience as a customer. read more

Just like every place around, I have to wonder why any chain wants to open a new location. It seems that Jersey Mike's and their desire to make another buck failed to realize that you need to hire decent people to staff the new location. What they got instead was an incompetent crew who seem to be incapable of making a sandwich to order, they're unable to offer services offered in a timely manner, and they're unable to be pleasant to people walking through the door. Ordered ahead online - four hours ahead. Sandwiches weren't even started at the scheduled pick up time. When they were made, they were made incorrectly and staff had a bad attitude. Guessing they're overworked and underpaid. Still waiting on that call back from the manager that I was told would happen when I called to talk about how I spent 20 bucks + to get the wrong stuff. Food tastes good. Enormous sandwiches. Elsewhere I've paid twelve bucks for sandwiches a third the size of the one I got at Mike's. The Mike's sub was $17, but well worth it. They slice the meat and cheese right onto your sandwich, fresh to order. Bread is soft, fresh, tasty. Topping selection needs work. No green peppers? No olives? I didn't see genoa or mustard? Come on, guys, those are staples for a sub shop. Really scratching my head about that. Establishment is very clean. The person who greeted me was friendly and helpful but the guy who handled my order had less personality than a mannequin. He did get the order right and it wasn't any trouble. This was my second time giving this location a chance and they have gotten worse. They seem to just be going through the motions when serving a customer. On my first visit I had to wait about 15 minutes to get my order and this time I waited over 30 minutes. I've never been to such a terrible sandwich location in my life not a single adult in the place to help run it smoothly zero soap in the bathroom. The staff were incompetent at best. All the tables were filthy and dirty, food left all over the seats as well including the floors. The bathroom was disgusting and they had trouble even taking a simple order. This location truly needs an adult to help run it very disappointed and will not recommend it to a single person and I hope nobody will have to have a similar experience. If I could give zero I would. We ordered for the first time from Jersey Mike's and I can tell you the TV commercials showing the subs are not what we got, comically small and nothing like they show. We actually thought it was a mistake but when we spoke to the manager she said it's what it is. This looks like a great example of false advertising, never will go there again. read more

I used to come here a lot more often but something has absolutely changed with the staffing. Third time's a charm because this is the third time I've come in in 2 wks but the first time I've stayed long enough to actually place an order. Previously, the lines did not move and the workers avoided eye contact. During today's visit, I was standing behind a group of guys, one of which was talking to to guy on the grill, and what I could gather is that he was recently fired but had gotten a new job at Home Depot. My meal was further delayed when grill guy opted to continue the conversation with the ex employee at the cash register while about 5 customers in line stood and watched. The supervisor on duty, did remind him he had work to do and he made his way back to the grill. I'm reminded that two of my friends had also recently complained about waiting close to an hour after the online site said 15 min. The food was good, so that's the silver lining. Like I said before, maybe it's growing pains with some attrition, but man, I really hope you get your act together. read more

Just plain awful. The bread was tasteless and sort of chalky. The tuna in my sandwich was a watery paste that did not really taste like tuna at all. There were a few strings of veggies in it that tasted like cardboard. My husband's sandwich was no better. I ordered online and our order was late getting done. There were no greetings or thank you's, just a couple grunts. When my order was done they sort of just pointed to it. We will not be returning to any Jersey Mike's. First time going to a Jersey Mikes, went to the one in Windham, Maine got attitude the minute started ordering. The young man was very short and inpatient with me as I did not know that they had different types of rolls and didn't know what "Mikes way" meant, as I said first time there, anyway the subended up being pretty good, I think it's like Subway but need to improve their customer skills, probably won't be going back to that one. read more

Glad this place opened up closer to home. The closest one to my house originally was a 30-40 minute drive into Scarborough! I love their sandwhiches. My favorite has to be a #9 Mike's Way with Pickles, Banana Peppers, and sub Spicy Mustard! The staff is always friendly, typically quick service, during busier hours it can get a bit hectic. Yet as to be expected. Somebody is always greeting you as soon as you come in. My favorite and most relieving part is that the sandwhiches are Deli slices to order, you can see the sandwich be made Infront of you. read more

We have been a regular Friday lunch customer in Windham Maine store since they opened . I order a regular steak cheese and mustard only nothing else on it . The problem is this gets cooked loaded and I have to go back in a get it remade and wait again. On lunchtime this is a pain. It's happened five to six times and again today.
