I am disabled and suffer from a mental illness. I bought a 2017Ford Escape from this dealership. I was taken advantage of as they overcharged me by 9000 for car. When my kids called to complain to dealership as they have power of attorney the dealership said they would only give 4000 for car if returned. I owe over 9000 to finance company. Coming from someone who has purchased 3 vehicles from Jess I will say Jess Auto used to be a great place for locals to buy new/used vehicles and a great option for parts/services but ever since this company got rid of their best manager and brought in a new one, this dealership has gone to complete shit. Don't waste your time here!! The costumer service is terrible, communication is nonexistent, any chance they have to fuck you over they will. Quite honestly, I don't think we would return for repeat business as we left feeling lied to. The whole experience was just...uncomfortable. For starters, I saw the truck listed on Facebook first. The pictures of it was before it was "detailed." We were intetested enough to go to their website but it had not been added to their inventory online yet. So I contacted them with a phone call and explained we were very interested but had to drive 4 hours one way to see it. They informed us if we put a $500 deposit they would reserve us first rights. Great! Two days later, we made the trip over for a test drive and inspection. The first thing we noticed was that the custom elk/forrest scene headache rack that was shown in the Facebook pictures had been removed. That was one of the details that caught my eye and was a perfect feature/upgrade compared to other trucks we were considering. These pictures were also, we found out, what the appraisal was based off of therefore resulting in a false appraisal value. We felt cheated and very dissappointed it was now not included but it wasn't a deal breaker. During our communications with the sales woman, she had made several comments that were contradictory to the managers (whom we came to find out was also the previous owner's friend) statements and paperwork verification. I couldn't tell if she really didn't know for sure what she was talking about or just trying to get the sale. For example, she mentioned that the previous owner had replaced the tie rods when the paperwork showed that Jess auto did the work. Also, she mentioned there were several local people interested in the truck but nobody had made the trip in to see it yet. The paperwork showed there had been 100 miles of test drive time on it. When I spoke with her on the phone prior to the visit, she mentioned if it meant our business, she could probably get the windshield replaced and the oil leaks repaired. When it came time to sit down and negotiate, that was not the case and we had to press the point that the headache rack was removed and that the windshield and oil leaks were an issue JUST for get them to remove the $200 processing fees as compensation. When it came time to fill out paperwork, it took quite a while. The guy assisting us seemed very unfamiliar with the process. He took a lot of time looking over the papers and finding a way to explain them to us but then was rushing us when we wanted to review before signing them. He was having much difficulty with print outs and left the room repeatedly to retrieve the corrected forms. It was at this time he presented the inspection report. A better time would have been prior to actually signing. Minor but annoying facts: The truck had not been throughly detailed. Looks as if it were vacuumed in the bulk areas but all the cracks/crevices were extremely dirty. Some well used surfaces such as the grab bars were still quite blackened. They also applied so much conditioner that I almost twisted my ankle trying to get into the truck. The mats and steering wheel were SO slippery and dangerous. She also said the truck was going to be washed prior to us driving it off the lot but we noticed it had been sprayed down and cursory wiped leaving smears and road grime. Overall, we just felt everyone involved over-promised and under-delivered. Their sales tactics seemed very shady and reminiscent of the old 70's sleezy car salesmen. read more

Going there reminded me of why I don't go to dealers. Was looking for a used truck, and found a very nice, very low miles 2007 GMC pickup. Once we sat down to work numbers, the real fun began. After offering me an extremely low (insultingly low) trade in offer on a low mileage 2009 car (my elderly mom's car), they justified this with KBB. of course when confronted with KBB on their truck's extremely high price that didn't matter.... Anyway, that was just the primer. As it was late evening, I said I liked the truck and would take it, but wanted to show my wife. "Could I have it for the evening and bring it back in the morning?" This is where the salesman 101 came in-"Well, if you agree to the price, truck price X, trade in is Y, with residual being Z, I think we can." Fine. I liked the truck. They even had me put my initials on the scrap paper as my word. They came out-surprise! Couldn't keep it overnight, but could drive it (an hour one way no less!) to show her then bring it back. No matter this put me back at 730pm. Grrr. Fine. I come back. Surprise surprise. "My manager says he can't do this price. But he can do this..." Price was now 300.00 more. Me."Bullcrap. We agreed on a price. You even had me put my little initials next to it. We do this price-which I agreed to-or you bring me my keys. You need to ask your manager if the sale is really worth that 300.00." Fuming now. BTW, I'm a retired Marine, and it's pretty clear when I'm not fooling around. And it's 8pm. Sales lady goes away. She comes back...surprise surprise. "The manager can take 150.00 off." "Give me my keys." "What?" "I don't freaking stutter. I said we agree to the price or I want my keys." Not knowing what to say, she goes to the manager. He comes out with my keys, but can't QUITE give them to me. "Maybe there's a misunderstanding." "No freaking misunderstanding. You all thought you had me emotionally attached. Even had me put my little initials on scratch paper as my word. Made me drive 90 miles because I couldn't keep the truck overnight. And surprise the price changed. When I called you all on it-keep the price we agreed or give me my keys. You thought I was joking. Give me my keys." "well maybe-" "Are you not giving me my keys?" Got them and left. Super manager called apologizing. When she said there was a misunderstanding, that Jess Ford Their Handshake is Their Word... I put her on blast, too. Then she asked if she could still offer the agreed on price. "Nope. That was yesterday's price. I'm 100 miles away looking at a different truck. Make me want to go back." "Well I can't give a price over the phone." "Sure you can. You know truck value, trade in, agreed price. You know you tried the salesman scam to get a few hundred extra dollars." "Well..." "Okay, Bye." Bottom line to this story. They WILL try to get every dollar out of you. They WILL get you emotionally attached and squeeze a few hundred more out of you. They will try to make you cave to their price. Now, if you don't mind painlessly giving up your hard earned money (in my case, money I literally bled for) as long as a sales person makes you feel good, fine. Just another corporate car place. Good thing is there's much more out there. I ended up with a similar truck, got 2000.00 MORE for my trade in, and the truck was reasonably priced. Wrote a check. Do your homework. read more

Awesome place to by a new Ford, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge or a pre owned car. They do power train Warranty Forever on most of their pre owned and all of their new cars and trucks. This is truly one of the last family owned and operated dealerships left and they are great to work with. The Jess family (who own Jess Ford in Grand Coulee and Pullman) took over the old Damskov motors in Omak and turned it in to truly classy place to buy and service a new or used car or truck. Called the service department starting at 8am, tried three times throughout the day and no answer. Left two messages with reception to have someone in service call me back, no call. Fourth time finally got service tech to answer the phone and then he tells me he's backed up for another 20 days as they do not staff enough service techs to keep up with customer demand...which makes me wonder why so many of their customers are having issues with their vehicles? read more
