Update: It took a few days, but I was contacted by a different manager who was very nice. As of this morning, I have a new windshield. I am appreciative that they ended up doing the right thing. Never going back! Arrive to pick up my vehicle and the windshield is busted. Definitely not how I dropped it off. I was told that unless I could prove they did it, it wasn't their problem. Who takes a picture of the windshield to have a brake repair done!?! They talked down to me like I was an idiot and then told me that I should be grateful that they fixed my car instead of upset that I now I have to replace my windshield! Are you serious!?! Took my car in for an alignment because it was pulling slightly to the left. Waited two hours just to get my SUV back pulling to the right. When I took it back after 5 min they brought me my key back and said they test drove it and it was fine. I asked how that was because my car never moved. They then said it was a miscommunication. Took my SUV back to the shop just to tell me must be something in my tire. So I brought it in for an alignment paid $66 dollars for the same results and for them to tell me it's in my tire. Terrible work and poor aftermarket parts. Minor repairs led to more that $8,000 in corrections. After more that a year, my new mechanic discovered a vital part that was not installed during front end work with Jesse's. Had to have my top in rebuilt on my engine due to some broken exhaust manifold bolts. I had them to also put on some Shorty headers. They broke my driver side side mirror. I complained about that and they said they would investigate it, but denied any wrongdoing and wouldn't fix my mirror. Upon completion of the job, I had to take a trip and on that trip both of my plastic inner fender liners fell out and developed an exhaust manifold leak. Found out you later that they didn't put on any of the locking mechanisms on the header bolts I will not ever be going back. read more

My wife and I have used Jesse Britt's Automotive about half a dozen times over the past two years or so. Every single time was a good and productive experience. Lately, I had just acquired a 2006 Audi A8L. It needed brakes and I always like to upgrade my brakes to cross-drilled, slotted rotors and dust-less pads. So, I bought them and JB put them on. A couple of weeks later one of the air shocks went out on this car. EACH shock normally costs about $2500. I decided to replace the entire suspension setup with coil over shocks, which costs less for all four corners, installed than one of those shocks. JB did a great job on installation and the alignment, the only negative being that the ride height was significantly higher than I specified in my instructions to them to install. After a discussion I agreed to let the suspension settle for a month or so. After a trip to Colorado I came back to them and mentioned there was no change in the ride height. Thomas quickly made me an appointment to have it fixed. Now, keep in mind, to properly change the ride height and a new alignment would normally cost in the neighborhood of $350. They did the right thing and took care of it all, and even changed out a burned out daytime running light bulb, ALL at NO cost to me. THAT is integrity and the kind of honesty you can only hope and pray to find in a quality shop that stands behind their commitment to their customer. I appreciate and respect that. I unfortunately have to admit I was very disappointed in my last visit, there have been occasional issues building over time but this last visit was a bit too much. I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years and it is doubtful I will return. The story is long so I'm not going into in depth details. Something has changed and I've noticed a deterioration in Jessie Britt's service. I work in medical, I am not a mechanic and only know the absolute basics. the part to fix the rear main seal on our truck is 18$ they charged us 150$ to put it on. then when we went to pick up truck our leather bedcover was ripped all up. instead of replacing or having it fixed they tried to say it was already like that. we know for a fact that it wasn't because we secured it before leaving the truck with them because it was going to be there overnight. now we are pulling camera footage from a nearby business to prove the bedcover was perfectly intact when we left it and its their responsibility to fix it. so if you would like way overpriced mechanic work and your vehicle tore up by all means go see Britt read more

I've used Jesse's a few times now and have always been happy with the service, quality of work and the price. I needed new rotors and pads on the back wheels. One place quoted me over $1100 ! Took our car in and were told the diagnostic was $39 and they would call us before any work was done. They called after doing $175 worth of work without our permission. When picking up the car I asked why this had been done when we had explicitly asked to be called before any work beyond the diagnostic was done. The mechanic came out and began yelling, saying he could undo the work if we didn't want to pay for it. When my daughter stood up for herself, he tried to grab the keys out of her hand and came out from behind the counter yelling at her to get out and never come back. He was very menacing and as I continued to be calm and pay, he continued his verbal abuse against me. When I got home I called to complain I got the same mechanic, Mike, on the phone. He continued to yell at me and call me a liar. Said he had video that proved me wrong and I said I would love to see it. He called me back within a few minutes, continued to yell and call me a liar and a Karen. Next day their customer service lady called my daughter and as she was trying to explain the situation the lady hung up on her. read more

Bottom line: dishonest. My AC compressor went out just before going on a long road trip. Knowing no one would be able to replace it in a day, I replaced it myself as I am pretty mechanically inclined and it's not a very technical task. I took my truck up there after to have them charge the AC system. After having it all day they said that they couldn't pull a vacuum on the system. They also said I bent the AC lines. I could see me doing this in a rush. Then they said I scratched the new compressor when I installed it and it would need another new one. This is where the red flags went up for me so I had them put everything back and was charged an hour of labor. Three days later, while I'm on my road trip, I was able to connect with a mechanic in Denver who looked at everything and said I did nothing wrong and that the lines, seals, and compressor were all just fine. He was able to charge the system and it has been blowing ice cold ever since. And it was put through a 4000 mile trip up and down mountains and in a wide range of temps with long driving times. They could have simply charged the system and I would have paid a fair price for honest work and they would have gotten any return business from me. Now I wouldn't trust them to air up my tires. read more

And lastly whoever puts a good review for these knuckleheads are probably the owners or friends of the owners cause they clearly don't know there head from there ass when it comes to fixing a vehicle. 8. Wow, I thought it was just me that had been screamed at by Mike. After reading the reviews I see that I am not the only one. Long story short - I brought my car to check the AC. A very nice young man at the front desk said that they would do a check that would cost 39.00. If they didn't find the problem, they could do another process that would cost 180.00. I very specifically and clearly said that if they didn't find anything to call me before doing the 180.00 job. Just a few hours later I get a call from Mike saying that they had gone ahead and done the more expensive job. When I asked why they hadn't called me, he said that if I didn't want to pay, he could pull all the freon out of my car. My car already had plenty of freon - the AC didn't have a freon issue. So, I realized that I would have to pay or lose my AC altogether. We went up there and while we were paying, my mom asked what happened to calling us first. Mike was on us immediately - saying in a loud voice that I had approved the work. I said I hadn't approved it. He got very agitated and said he would go take all the freon out and tried to grab my keys from my hands. I am a little embarrassed to say that my response to that was "F you!". He was yelling and trying to grab my keys and I did respond in kind. He then screamed at me to "Get out! If you're going to use that language, get out!". He then came towards me and motioned me to get out of the building following me to the door. We have had previously had good experiences at this place, but every other time, my dad has done the business with them. I guarantee, he never would have chased a grown man out of the building. He never would have done unapproved work in the first place. We, obviously will not be returning. Mike is a bully and I see from other reviews this is not the first time he has acted like this. Found my new Mechanic shop! I was 6th in line when they opened at 7:30 and I had them do an 88 point inspection. They called me by 10:00 with all the information, they installed a new transmission mount, a new fuel filter, and I got an alignment and my vehicle was all ready to go by 4:00 the same day. I thought it was an incredible experience and extremely fair pricing. I am very excited and relieved to have found them and they earned my business from here on out! read more

I have been a loyal customer of Jesse Britt's Automotive for years, however today 8/27/24 I experienced the worst service that a seasoned customer should endure. First of all I have had two repairs with them this year and the first repair totaling over 3,000 (June 2024) and the second repair around $150 (June 2024). Two weeks after the repairs my check engine light came back on, and unfortunately I couldn't make it back in right away due to working out of town. I contacted them this morning, and the same service rep I dealt with in the past answered the phone and as I explained to him my concerns and what was currently going on with my car he immediately caught an attitude! He told me that what was going on with my car now had nothing to do with the services I was provided before. I tried telling him many times that I had mentioned in the past one of the current issues and he shut me down every time and stated I never mentioned this at my last servicing. Due to not getting anywhere with the service rep I asked kindly to speak with the manager and he refused to put the manager on the phone and stated he was busy. The entire time the manager was right in the back just avoiding me. As the manager overheard our conversation escalating he got on the phone and immediately backed his service rep. He told me that he agreed to what I was told without even listening to my concerns or thoughts as a valued customer for years. He belittled me and refused to listen to my concerns or even acknowledge my side. I mentioned to the manager that I previously reported the current issue and it was never fixed or resolved by them and he indicated no I never did. To and the conversation THE MANAGER yelled at me and told me that I could take my car somewhere else and hung up in my face! Very unprofessional business, terrible service, and the customers do not come first! They refuse to take accountability or be held liable for anything that they didn't address! As a repeated customer I was very disappointed and hurt by the quality of service I received. Let me start with the $10 hazardous disposal fee. That is on every ticket according to the guy. So when they say 25 dollar oil change they mean 35 dollar oil change, but they don't tell you it is 35 dollars, that is just what they charge you. Which is crazy expensive for an oil change--people pay for waste oil, they refine it into real oil again. So deceptive charges. Next this is what happens to me: I want my power window fixed. They charge a diagnosis fee. They give me a firm price of "$279", I say okay. They call me back and say, no now we want $479. I say that is too much to install a $39 part. I take my car back with the window in pieces, but have to pay them $55 labor for ripping my door apart. I will get the part and do it myself, but am not happy because they were seriously overcharging me. I will get it the job done for $39 if they didn't lose any of the parts. Not $479. Not even close, that is crazy expensive for replacing a window regulator. I could have another door put on for less. By the way, I shocked the guys delicate ears when I said the hazardous disposal fee was bullshit, but it really is. Just added hidden profit on every bill this place prints. read more

Jesse Britts Automotive is a scam! This place is a scam, they are defrauding people with their stimulus money, 1st issue took my car there they said it was needing a tune up and more work $1,200 the work was done but the car had the same issues and they won't back up their job saying "we did our job" 2nd my husband took his truck for an oil change after picking up my car they said the belt was in bad shape so to replace it for $200, they gave us the truck back. It made a horrible loud noise when tuning it on (we did not have that issue at all before the oil change), took it back 3 days later after the weekend it was really loud and they said there was a dead animal and it would cost .. you guessed it $1,000 to repair it. My toyota tundra has a seal plate and nothing can get in there yes they lied about that issue because they can't admit their faults. I took my truck to the Toyota Service department changed the band and no noise. no issue, no dead animal. The problem on all of this is that they are using cheap probably used parts and they charge it you for new parts. That belt did not fit my truck and the piston used on my car was used and not fit my car. They do the half ass job and they charge like a high end service department store. I will never go there again. In total we paid them $1500 and they wanted $1,000 more. We had to pay $2,300 at a REAL and reliable Mechanic shop to fix the mess they created. If you go in for an oil change be prepared to spend lots of money because they will find something "wrong" with your vehicle. read more

I came to Jesse Britt after trying out another highly recommended repair shop in Waco. That shop had a long line this morning and was going to take all day even with an appointment. So I was pleasantly surprised to hear I could get my "check engine light" diagnosed that same hour at Jesse Britts. While I waited in the lounge, I watched customers from all walks of life come through and be greeted with the same cheerful enthusiasm I received. Their positive attitude and passion to help was infectious. One old timer arrived with a quote from another repair shop. And the service writer patiently listened to the story behind the quote, and took some time to assure the gentleman that the issue is rather common with his make and model vehicle, and the repair procedure sounded about right. While the quote was too low to be beat, the service writer offered to match the price. Within the hour, they had discovered the issue on my car. Since it was very minor, they immediately reduced the diagnostic fee and added an additional discount because my wife is a teacher. Nice! read more

One month later and I am still dealing with the incompetency of Jesse Britt's. I had already been there three times for them to fix the problem, and they still never got it right. After my steering fluid leaking out again, causing loud noise from my wheel, I took my vehicle to Trinity Auto Haus. They cleaned up the messy job done by Jesse Britt's and fixed my problem. The money I paid Trinity to fix the continuous problem was worth it. I highly recommend trying Trinity Auto Haus. They are my new go to! read more

How things change! Jesse Britts customer service SUCKS! Called them yesterday, got a quote, and asked about making an appointment. I STRESSED that I would only make the appointment if they guaranteed to have my car repaired that same day. I only have one car, and had to have someone follow me to take me to work. They said no problem and made the appointment. Got there and was informed that they could not get it out today. I asked about my "appointment" and the fact the said they could do it yesterday. They told me appointments were meaningless. They had gotten busy, and did not honor appointments. First come, first serve. So to make matters worse Mike with Jessie Britt calls and blames me, calls me a cowards for leaving a bad review. Tells me I should have escalated the situation while at the shop instead of simply accepting the service writers explanation. Talk about burning bridges! He ended with a statement that he did not need my business. Pure arrogance. One day they will have pissed off enough people that they may no longer be so busy. read more

Honestly, I had mixed feelings about this place initially and was thinking...how good of a place can this one be if they have advertising on the back of HEB receipts. Decided to give the place a try. Maybe it was coincidences, since both times I took it in there were additional things which needed to be done. Red flag, right? After discussing, we realized that maybe yeah...just coincidences. Like you know something's wrong and you get to a mechanic and the problem doesn't present itself. Well, the opposite happened. So as you can image, rough first impression. After waiting for a while, I could hear conversations going back and forth either via the phone or in person, they have regular customers, who trust taking their cars in. I was on the road with my food truck 'Hula Girl' from San Antonio to Washington, DC and we had a major mishap on the road - lucky for me, it was in Waco, TX! The owner, Jesse Britt, actually came to my hotel and put on new alternator belts and changed out my battery. He was friendly and super nice - and very honest. He took a better look at my alternator and let me know that the compressor wasn't looking good (the truck is a 1995). I followed him back to his shop and they got to work on the truck right away. Mind you - this is at 10am on a Saturday! He and his team had to rebuild me a custom part - and they did it beautifully. All throughout this day - he kept assuring me that they would get me back on my road trip - and with a truck that was safe. No bullshit - these guys are amazing and officially my guardian angels. They got me back on the road and were so pleasant - that I wished I lived there so that I could have them over for some ice cold beers! Heard about Jesse britts, and decided to take my wife's car there to get an oil change. They have a terrible parking lot and while trying to park I got stuck and had to wait for a car to move. Since I had to block an employee from moving a car. As I waited the employee started cussing a yelling. Then when I could move the employee cut me off. Needless to say I drove off not getting a single service. I will never get any service there, because of my experience. I would rather drive to dallas and pay $200 dollars for an oil change. If they are willing to treat a potential customer like that, they will treat your car worse. If you need a good automotive mechanic I would trust Loop 340 Garage. read more
