I cannot say enough great things about Ryan, the owner. The first time I came in, it was a simple tightening of a lose stone on my engagement ring. He fixed it quick & easy, and was extremely professional. The real story, and true testament to his abilities, lies in the second time I visited him. About two weeks ago, the tip of the center (pear) stone on my engagement ring broke. Chipped right off. I was absolutely beside myself, as my ring isn't a diamond - it's a natural, full red-to-green color-change alexandrite from Zimbabwe. There was no way I could ever replace it and I was absolutely certain that I had ruined my ring. Who even knows how to fix chipped gems? At least, that's what I thought. I remembered how excellent Ryan was to work with the first time, and he was the first person I thought of when I was desperately searching for an answer in the middle of the night. I reached out to him around 2 o'clock in the morning in a full panic, and he got back to me exceedingly quickly (around 7 a.m.) and fit me in for a consultation that very day. My fiancé and I came in, we talked over our options, and he took the ring to get the gem fully measured. He, and his master of a gem-cutter, were able to cut the gem to get back to a pear shape without losing much carat weight. I didn't think it was possible, but he managed it! He also polished out a scratch on top of the gem and took care of putting a peg on the tip of the pear so this would never happen again. I just got my ring back Wednesday, and I could not be happier. It looks absolutely stunning, and you can't tell at all that the stone was ever damaged or that the front peg was an add-on. It looks absolutely seamless, and I am ecstatic at the end result. I would have been totally lost without Ryan, I am so happy that I stumbled across his shop! If you have a damaged gem, he is your man. I cannot recommend him highly enough, not only for his unparalleled expertise, but also for his excellent customer service and personality. He's one of the most personable businessmen I know, and I've already referred some friends to him. My fiancé already told me he knows where he's getting future Valentine's day presents from.
