Jay was very good at communicating by email. Booked him a couple of weeks in advance and then I changed the date and he was very accommodating. The shoot was located at Asilomar beach- quick, easy, and fast- just what I wanted. He gave us a notice that the photos could take up to 2 weeks but he had them ready in a few days. He was punctual and communicative for our vow renewal ceremony & when I mentioned I had some late guests I wanted to wait for he had no problem staying a bit longer. I initially only had him booked for our ceremony, but we got so much more time and more pictures than expected. A big reason for our renewal was due to having a lack of photos from our original wedding. I was far from lucky when booking an engagement shoot with Jay. I emailed him 2 wks before the shoot and we settled on the pricing. I emailed him again with all contact info and decided meeting point 2 days before the shoot. The morning of the shoot I receive a text about 5 hrs before the appt and he wants to cancel because he's feeling ill. I travelled 2 hrs and 45 min by train from SF to Monterey for the sole purpose of the shoot and wasted my whole weekend.
