Burke Center Parkway... If I could give a zero I would. My husband took his car in for an oil change this morning and I drove it this afternoon for an errand. Within just a few miles a warning popped up that it was very low on oil and to stop car and add a quart. I pulled off the highway and looked under the car. It was actively leaking oil. I called my husband and he called Jiffy Lube and they sent a "mechanic" out to look at it where I had pulled off. In the meantime I contacted our normal mechanic and he advised that they likely didn't tighten the drain plug and to have it towed. Jiffy Lube's "mechanic" told my husband to drive it back to Jiffy Lube (after putting a quart of oil in it) and they would redo the oil change for free. When they got the car back the manager, Jason, admitted that that morning they had started the car without the oil filter being installed and it had sprayed oil all over the engine. He said they had cleaned it up and didn't tell my husband any of this when he initially picked it up. They claimed it wasn't leaking oil, but the oil that was leaking out was from the skid plate where it was trapped from when it sprayed oil all over from when the didn't have the filter in place. This cannot be true as the car was at least a quart low when I had pulled off the highway. They redid the oil change and offered my husband a free future oil change. They did not apologize or offer a refund. My mechanic, certified mechanic, said the engine is very likely damaged due to their negligence and we will likely have engine trouble in the future. They did put in writing, at our insistence, that they started the engine without the filter being installed. And let us drive off in our family vehicle without telling us any of this. Avoid at all costs. We will likely end up in court later over this. Save yourself the trouble. I was stranded with my 8 year old and all they want to do is offer us a future oil change. As if we'd use them again. read more

Full disclosure. I have been taking my cars to this place for years and have received excellent service. However, I recently took my classic Cadillac here. I asked them to use 50w oil since she is old and has some leaking.. They told me they don't carry it. They also told me that they could not look up the filter for it since it was so old. I then offered to buy the oil and filter myself and have them do the labor. They told me they could. I then asked, since I was supplying the $40 worth of oil and filter how much were they willing to discount the $39.99 signature service? The answer....$2.00.... I was like you're kidding me! I then asked to speak to a manager. Surely he can make an executive decision that would be fair to a long time customer. The answer....$2.00. You have got to be kidding me right? No sir, that is our policy. I said no thanks. I also told them they should review their database and see I bring all my cars there and that I would not be returning. Their answer... Sorry sir. I went across the street and bought my oil at Fairfax Auto parts. Told them my story. They told me that the regular manager, who usually takes great care of their customers, was on vacation, and that they hear stories like this every time he leaves on vacation. Apparently when the cats away the mice don't give a rats behind about the customer. Too bad. they were convenient to me, but plenty of places to get an oil change. read more

Went to go get my oil changed and was told I needed new windshield wipers and I should go ahead and pay to get them done there. I bought mine one week ago so there is NO way they need to be replaced. They tried to tack on charges for things I did not actually need. Very disappointed. read more

Many months before I went to this Jiffy Lube, my husband installed a reusable K&N engine air filter in my car. It never needed to be replaced, just cleaned every few months. While he was on deployment, I took my car in to this Jiffy Lube for an oil change. They told me that my engine air filter needed to be replaced. I remembered that it had been a long time since anyone had done anything with the engine air filter, but I forgot that my husband had installed a non-disposable one. Taking the technician's word and without looking at the used filter (my bad) I authorized them to replace it. There is no mistaking the reusable filter that was in my car for the cheap paper filter they charged me thirty bucks to replace it with, so it was certainly not an honest mistake on their part. They happily gave me a military discount and thanked me for my husband's service. read more

My car died in the Safeway parking lot this morning. Tried jumping the battery with a friend's car and it wouldn't hold a charge - battery is two weeks old. Went to Advanced Auto across the street (where I got the battery installed) but they said they couldn't do anything unless the car was in front of the shop. I had noticed the Jiffy Lube was open, walked in. Was served immediately. Two guys walked over (I believe one's name was Juan), it took two tries and they finally got it. Drove it to the shop where they identified the problem as a loose terminal which is what made it hard to charge. They promptly fixed it and didn't charge me for a thing! They saved my weekend! read more

The manager here is either new or I haven't seen her before. I went in to have them check an A/C issue a few weeks after they first worked on it. She took our car right back and before I knew it, the car was fixed. No hassle about the date of repair etc. She stood by their work and took care of it without a second thought. Besides some high prices that coupons can usually help, this is a solid place. read more

I went in today to get an oil change on my Chevy Sonic, which has a turbo engine so it costs more to change. I still left with a newly oiled car, that was cleaned and vacuumed and extra fluids topped off for 51.99 pre tax. ABOVE AND BEYOND HELP! I have used the Burke Jiffy Lube twice now and both times the service was excellent. This last visit they went above and beyond to help me out. I arrived early and parked in the lot awaiting the opening. I locked myself out of my car. They immediately stepped in to help, giving me a ride to pick up a spare key instead of my using an UBER lift to get it. My car was serviced quickly and expertly once I returned with the key: oil change, tire rotation, wiper replacement, fluids topped. Ready for winter. I won't be going anywhere else. read more

I have been taking our vehicles here for years and have always had excellent service. I have never felt pressured to purchase additional services - only educated and informed of the cost, for me to decide. I appreciate the preventative work we have done and the records they keep and share among all Jiffy Lube locations. Most recently, I took a 1988 vehicle in that they noted needed the coolant flushed. BOY did it need the coolant flushed! The staff was great and took a lot of time to work with it until they got it right. Very thorough and checked in with me throughout the process. They even went above and beyond to take a look at one other concern I had regarding an exhaust system. Keep these guys around as they are very kind and trustworthy. Never returning. Took my 2010 Camry for a Sat afternoon signature service. Was told that rear brake disk pads were severely thin and nearly "metal-on-metal". Needed to be replaced (only $199) immediately. I declined brake job and indicated I'd have my regular mechanic (over 25 years) do the job. In mechanic's shop by Monday evening for Tuesday brake job on rear. Mechanic discovered rear disk brake pads "nearly new" and absolutely no need to replace them. CANNOT TRUST THIS JUFFY LUBE LOCATION and WILL NOT RETURN. read more

As a retail worker I have an unusual schedule so Jiffy Lubes are awesome because I can get work done on my car at weird hours, with out an appointment, and at fairly reasonable prices. I stopped by the Burke Center Parkway Jiffy Lube on my way home from work last week to get just a plain old oil change. I knew going in that I am behind on the manufacturer recommended maintenance of my car. But, like most Americans, I live paycheck to paycheck, and when I told the mechanic that I wouldn't be able to get the work done the same day as my oil change, he offered to give me a 10% discount. (I thought this was nice considering the Jiffy Lube location I regularly go to did not offer a discount when they told me I was behind on the maintenance during my last oil change.) A few minutes after showing me into the lobby, the mechanic working on my car came back in and informed me that my Serpentine belt were cracked and needed to be changed soon. I already knew this as a friend of mine, a trained mechanic, did some work on my car a two weeks earlier. He noticed the Serpentine belt's condition as he was tightening it, and told me about it. This is where the problem happened. When I drove my car up to the Jiffy Lube location, the engine was running quietly and perfectly fine (thanks to the work my friend had done for me two weeks earlier). When I got into my car after the oil was changed at the Jiffy Lube, there was a horrible screeching noise coming from my serpentine belt again. After about two blocks away from the Jiffy Lube location, my car was still screeching, and it was MUCH louder than it was even before my friend worked on it. I could hear the screeching sound perfectly clearly through my closed car window AND over my radio. My car had been tampered with. I think the Jiffy Lube mechanic loosened my serpentine belt on purpose. I turned around and went back to the Jiffy Lube. I went into the office and told them what I was hearing. The mechanic who worked on my car was brought in and told me that he noticed the loud screeching as he drove my car into the bay and that it was coming from the belt he told me about. I was then told they would fix the belt at the regular price. So I'm very sure that the mechanic tampered with my engine to get me to have the work done on that day. But as I said, I live paycheck to paycheck and had no way of having the work done that day. So I have been forced to drive around in a car whose engine has been tampered with. Not only that, I will have to my car fixed well before I budgeted for it, as well as hoping that other parts of my engine haven't been damaged by the loosen belt. I will never, NEVER, ever, EVER go back to the Burke Center Parkway Jiffy Lube. Nor do I recommend any one else take their vehicle there. I will also be sending this review to Jiffy Lube, and whether or not I return to any Jiffy Lube will depend on the kind of response I get. read more

Don't even think about turning into this place! Only wanted a standard oil change and received the up-sell of the century! Mechanic said my car needed hundreds of dollars of repairs, many of which were recently done by the dealer and some by them - JL - themselves!!! The kicker was when he told me, I needed a new battery. He presented a diagnotic result pulled from his back pocket that had the time stamp of 90 mins before I had even arrived there!!! I called attention to this fact and said that this was not from my car. As I drove off totally disgusted, the mechanic actually chased after me yelling, "We'll test it again, we'll test it again."! So very sad that a business with such crooked practices as this one pulls such BS on honest, hard working folks on a daily basis. read more

I rarely rate a service company with one star, but this place is the worst. I go back only because they are fast, are near my home, and my mechanic gets backed up often (good ones always do). I have gone to this place off and on since it first opened. At one point they screwed up so many times (on three cars) that I wrote a three page letter to Jiffy Lube corporate. I was treated like a king for a year and then all the problems started again. The list of mistakes covers everything. Today they left greasy stains all over the inside and outside of my car. I read the manager the riot act and have finally decided to never take a car to this pathetic place EVER again. AVOID!!!!!!!! read more

If you are going to go to this Jiffy Lube location. Make sure you get serviced by the Manager only. I noticed a huge difference when serviced by employees compared to the Manager. I was scammed at least 5 times in a row by the employees of this location telling me that i needed this and that in order to maintain my vehicle. After suspicion rose after a diagnostic check at this jiffy lube location, i tried it out at several other jiffy lube locations such as annandale and fairfax. I deliberately took my time to drive from each location to location just to prove either to myself if i am wrong or right for pulling this stunt that took hours of my day. I went to the burke location right when it opened to receive that diagnostic check in the early morning, before i paid for the services they suggested i needed, i told them that i would return later. I quickly drove to the Fairfax location in the early afternoon to see if i would also get the same exact diagnostic review, this time it was different. The diagnostic review had told me that i did not need the other things burke location was asking of such as radiator flush, brakes, transmission flush, and air filter. That all i needed was an oil change. Surprised i was, but i also wanted to get another opinion/diagnostic check to be certain. So off i went to the Annandale location later afternoon, and they had said the same thing that Fairfax location told me too. So later in the evening, i returned to Burke location and asked the same employees who told me that i needed this and that, why did Fairfax and Annandale location tell me that i didnt need those services? I asked where was the prior employee who diagnostic checked my vehicle in the early morning. A different employee said that he was unavailable because he was busy with another customer. I stood my ground and did not budge. I wanted to get to the bottom of this, and requested him and said i will not leave this establishment until i get some answers. That employee finally was available to confront my questions on behalf of why burke location was falsely diagnosing my vehicle needed 5 other services that wasnt required in the first place? The employee checked my customer account in the computer and apologized to me, realizing that my vehicle did not require those services because it was an Electric vehicle that can only be serviced by the Manufacturer Company. I acknowledged his apology. I asked for the Manager, the manager was not in at the moment. So i returned the next day to see the Manager. The Manager serviced my car with excellent professionalism in highest meticulous detail. Printed me copies and showed my customer account from their computer system showing what i had gotten, didnt need, and needed in the future. I went home that day and researched the heck out of Jiffy Lube reviews on youtube, glassdoor, google, reddit. Found out that you actually arent supposed to get ANY transmission or radiator and brake flushes in your car whatsoever, because it actually causes wear and tear inside your engine. And you should instead go to your vehicle's Manufacturer Company for any diagnostic check/repair. And an Air Filter should only change once a year maximum, if a Jiffy Lube employee suggested you to change your air filter within a 6 month-12month period, its a scam trying to charge for more things you dont need. After this incident, i returned again in the future 5 months later. The employees gave me disgruntled facial expressions and nonverbally dismissive, because i assume it was the prior experience that happened before. The employees refused to allow my car inside their garage until they suggested i buy their "services". All i wanted was their free diagnostic check, tires pumped with air, and topped off window wiper fluid. They did this very reluctantly in a judgmental slow delayed response without smiles and just stare down at me like i was not wanted there. I went to Fairfax location, and i received the same free services in smiles and i felt very welcomed as a customer. I will continue to go to this Jiffy Lube only for an oil change and other free services they provide. Luckily for myself, during this time i became an Technician student to learn about Auto-Tech just to make sure that whatever issue i face in the future, i would be sure to examine my car carefully after giving them my vehicle to repair. Best Jiffy lube in NOVA. Always get my oil changed here and always fast and friendly. Busy or not they are willing to help fix the little things that keep breaking on my toyota and help keep me rolling. Great service recommendations without being too pushy. Got my brakes done 100$ cheaper then anywhere else I was quoted, all while I waited so I didn't have to mess around with drop offs and getting a ride. This was by far my best oil change experience ever! Recently moved to the area and my first visit to this franchise. I was welcomed positively (arriving 20 minutes before close) and given an overview of the entire process. The team was very polite and even vacuumed my car as part of their service. The interior of the facility was very well maintained and organized. Did not feel pressured into any additional services, rather given recommendations/suggestions. The service and polite group here truly made me want to continue using this franchise in the future. These guys are great. I take all my vehicles for oil changes and they are always courteous and professional. I had a friend who had a flat tire and 2 of the lug nuts were stripped and we could not for the life of us get them off. We brought the car to them just as they were closing around 6:45 pm. We asked if they could use an impact wrench to get the lugs off and without hesitation they gave us a hand with the lugs. It took a littler longer than we had all expected but they got er done. "REAR TAIL LIGHT OUT!" Got my oil changed here. While waiting, i hear the technician mention to the person ahead of me. "your right rear tail light is out.", then to the next person ahead of me "Your right rear tail light is out". My turn, I get my oil changed. The technician, "your right rear taillight is out." I was already a bit concerned, initially, I however, have LED tailights that do not burn out. I pointed this out, and they said "well they burn out every now and then" I had installed them myself just a few days prior, this was a new car and had less than 1k miles on it. Okay, so i figure they tried filch me for 10$, i tell them to ignore it, and i replace the led they snapped when i get home, i do keep spares. Three weeks later my car starts shuddering. I take it to the shop. They had improperly tightened the oil pan plug, they had never installed the gasket between the oil filter and the pan, and my car had been leaking out for 3 weeks. It cost me a ton of money to repair the damage. I will never go here again, and advise you to be cautious if you do. read more

Rude and employees didn't know how to operate the cash register to process a gift card. They pulled out the interior cabin microfilter and improperly replaced it so now it sounds like an airplane taking off when I turn on the heat or AC. Went back to ask them to refit the microfilter properly and was told it was going to take 20 minutes. Oil change I had done took almost 40 minutes. Manager is good but employees are seriously lacking customer service and proper skills. I recommend Jiffy Lube...just not this one located in Burke on Burke Centre Parkway. read more

My wife just took her car to this Jiffy Lube and under no circumstances will we ever take another car to this place. First they talked her into getting the synthetic oil change. Next they tell her that the serpentine belt needs replacing, in fact, its so bad that they aren't comfortable letting her drive off without a new one. Next they show her the air filters in her car and how they are slashed and need replacing. So lets go through this one at a time with the issues here. First, her car clearly specifies in the manual that it takes conventional oil, NOT synthetic. They refused to do a conventional oil change. Next the serpentine belt was just fine, it was not ready to break at any moment, interestingly enough, the two people who followed my wife in line also needed new serpentine belts. Must be something in the air that's just destroying serpentine belts in record numbers. The air filters were so slashed up that it looks like they removed them, took a knife to them, then showed my wife how badly damaged they were. There is no way an air filter gets that beaten up from regular use. A simple oil change ends up at over $200. I knew Jiffy Lube was questionable with their recommendations, but I had no idea they would be this dishonest with how they scam customers. read more

We've frequented for years but won't go back. They replaced a headlight on my minivan and 8 months later it's out (meanwhile, the one my husband replaced himself 10 months ago is FINE) -- and the manager is sticking to the "6 month warranty" on headlight replacement. Since the headlights must have been used equal amounts, my conclusion is an inferior bulb OR inferior workmanship. I should need a new headlight every 3-4 YEARS, not every 8 months. I had my oil changed here before going on vacation. Two days (and hours from home) later I noticed large oil stains on my driveway. A local mechanic found the oil filter loose and said that he needed to turn it four or five times before it was seated properly. I will not use this place again. read more

I went there for an Oil change was first in line outside the bay; I was sitting in the waiting room for sometime (20 minutes). I went to look what was taking so long and my car had been moved to another bay and was still outside the bay. They had bumped car to let some else's truck in ahead of my car. To be short, the place seems to be run by classic scam artists, who take advantage of people who are not familiar with cars. No, Freon does NOT "need to be replaced twice a year." It shouldn't ever need to be recharged, UNLESS there is a leak. Have you ever needed to recharge your fridge with freon? Nope. Neither should your car (they function in the same way, freon never leaves a fridge and it shouldn't leave a functioning AC). Charging $50 to 'run a test' for a leak and then finding nothing is ridiculous. If you are out of freon, BY DEFINITION, there is a leak. On top of that charging $150 to refill the freon and saying there is no leak and to come back in a few months for another refill is downright insulting and immoral. This place also provided rather poor service to a friend, when they 'forgot' to replace the vapor line in a friends ca. She wouldn't have known and probably gone back to be charged a few hundred to fix the problem they created had I not pointed it out. Stop taking advantage of people you think don't know about cars and find some morality. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT CARS: do NOT come here. Today I went to Jiffy Lube for the first time. I had avoided it as I know it was over priced, but it is quick. I was in a hurry as I was going on a long road trip. Before I got out of the car, one of the employees was there to ask me what I needed, etc. I almost choked when I heard the price was $39.95. I asked about the $5 coupon I found on the national website, and the $6 one I found on their local site. He said sure. I pulled up, told them I only wanted the basic oil change, etc. I again inquired about the coupons...they all said the cashier would take care of it. When I was called to pay my bill, I offered the $5 coupon and inquired about the $6 one, as it would not print on my iMac at home. (ends up it only prints on PC windows systems). She said she did not have a code for the $6 coupon. I was stunned, it was on their OWN website. She did not seem to care. I pressed for the $6 discount, and she was rude to say the least and basically blew me off. I thought I got the discount after she ran my credit card. I only notice after I left (my bad)...and I also say the price for the oil change was not 39.95, rather it was $41.95. I will go back to see the manager on Monday...and all I can say is if I was the manager, I would have a one sided conversation with her, and send her packing. Totally unsat. Also, I recommend you go to Burke Automotive, right next door, where the oil change is $19.95 on a regular basis. You will have to get in line early as they book up fast. read more
