Where other mechanics might otherwise upsell you or commit you to extra work, I've actually had several instances where they've come back and given me the facts to help make a decision on how to proceed after a diagnostic and often they've even been honest about work that can be deferred or omitted completely. Don't really see that much, in my experience. No sticker shock either, the service fees also felt proportional and reasonable or well within their estimates, if not lower than estimated. Finally, I've dealt with the same receptionist there since we switched over and I've always felt she was professional and knowledgeable. Maybe not overly bubbly or sweet or anything, but why would that be a deal-breaker to the point that you would stop going to a unicorn mechanic? This is referring to a previous review complaining about the receptionist, but praising Dan the the shop. My guess is you'll end up back there within the year. I don't tend to pay much attention to reviews from people who only go on these pages to complain, and out of your 30 reviews they 28 of them have been 1s or 2s out of 5. That's not feedback that's entitlement.

I have been taking my cars to Dan over the years, maybe since he began his business. This woman will talk down to you over the phone or not even look at you when you are in the shop. She thinks she is getting one over on you by using language that only most mechanics will understand, but what she is really doing is losing good customers for Dan. I will never go back to Future Trends because of Jenn; it's too bad because Dan is a good person.

Ok.......I was at the Harvester Location for an oil change. It was on a coupon at a great price…read more $48.97 ($54.34 tax in). There system that sends you a report is good. They suggested an air filter change as it was dirty. I said go ahead. Should have priced it first but that is my issue. Upon picking up the vehicle the total was now $171.29!! That means the air filter and labour to install was $102.61! I was a but shocked at the time but paid the bill. After researching online with prices I called them back to report my displeasure with the amount. They were not impressed and simply claimed that it was normal amount for what they did.

Brought a 2022 Honda Civic into Take 5 on April 22, 2022 at approximately 2pm for a simple oil…read morechange. Everything was going normal but it was taking a long time for them to wrap it up. I saw one of their "Technicans" take a huge orange mallet into the bay. Suddenly I start feeling pounding on the bottom of the car. When he came out I asked what he was hammering on. He claimed the bolts were rusted on my skid plate so they decided the proper course of action was to bend it out of the way and try to hammer it back into place. The skid plate is mangled. Huge dents and it doesn't line up correctly with the rest of the undercarriage. I brought the car back on Monday to show what their "technicans" did. Called back again today and the Manager had the audacity to ask what I expected from them. Of course I expect the part they damaged without authorization to be replaced. I've begun the process of filing a small claim. If you value your vehicle do not go to this shop!
