Went to another location of theirs an hour before close and they were out of the specific oil filter for my car. I was heading down to the Kent area anyways so it didn't bother me that much. I figured I would just try another location so when I got there and explained my situation, they quickly took $20 off my service because of the inconvenience. I was quoted on $32-$40 to replace my headlight on a 2012 suburban. so I drove up there.They had a couple of customers in line and so I'm sitting there and guy comes and he takes my mileage and everything and he said yeah we're gonna get on your truck in just a minute and then 20 minutes later, he comes back to me and tell me they're not going to be able to put a headlight in my truck because it's too much work. I came to this location for a top off 11/27 shortly before 11am. Dude was cool he told me " my plug wasn't screwed all the way in and it was leaking a little oil slowly but don't worry , we tightened it and it's not leaking and is good to go" I go home park my car leave for a trip come back and take my car in for oil change , and the guy tells me the screw was so tight it striped the threads and some Sealant of some type was used pretty much I have to get a new oil pan etc because they can't put it back on do to the damage. I called them next morning as I found this all out close to closing on Sunday and my luck the manger isn't in. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this location they just caused me to have to pay 360$ for issue caused by their employees, now if I lived in Seattle area I would of brought it back to them but needles to say I live in Portland. read more

My daughter is buying a car and it's been a while so she was very nervous about dealing with car dealers that are dishonest and don't care about anything except making a dollar. So we went to Jiffy Lube in Kent on a 104th and Jamal, checked it out for us, gave us some tips on what to do next because they found a oil leak, MAJOR.....so we were able to go back to the dealer and re negotiate the price and get a better deal. Can I give a zero star? I went here and was sent to the other Kent location, thank goodness they sent me over because it smelled like pot there. Like it's very strong. While the other Kent location had 4cars and only 2guys working.. this location had no cars just one car.. and it's probably their car pretending to work on it. Don't go to this one. I am once again leaving a very positive review for Jiffy Lube. Except this time for this location (#1118). I recently purchased a used vehicle online and noticed that it had an oil leak. I brought it in to this Jiffy Lube and Jamal hooked me up and told me what is causing it. He also topped off my oil and suggested that I get an oil change after I fix the oil leak issue. Service from start to finish was just perfect. From the time that I called, to when I pulled up without having to wait more than 5 seconds and them quickly informing me of what's going on. He went back into the store to call Jimal . He then sent one of the other men out to Tell me he called the Covington store and they could get me right inj arrive at the Covington store. I had to get my breaks changed and had a good experience. They were knowledgeable and very friendly. Tony was my mechanic and I think he's a keeper. Jamal runs the place and is very engaged with the professional activity and customers. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because it took about and hour and a half, which is longer than expected. To their credit though, it was a Saturday morning and they were slammed. Do you like getting ripped off, lied to and cheated? If you go here, you will get ripped off! I went into this location to get a standard oil change. The employee looked up my car info in the Jiffy Lubes records and told me that I had used full synthetic oil before and if I went back to conventional oil, it would ruin my engine. I confronted him and told him that I never heard of this before. He insisted that it was true and told me to go do some research. I looked it up on my smart phone and again confronted him with my findings from valvoline.com. He told me that valvoline was wrong and that his statement was correct. (Source here: http://www.valvoline.com/car-care/motor-oil-myths/) After continuing to debate with him, he insisted that he was correct and he knew because Jiffy Lube sends him all over the world to go to motor oil classes in Las Vegas, New York, California and etc. He was very pushy and non customer serviced focused. I feel like I was ripped off and cheated by this employee and Jiffy Lube during my visit. Your employee lied and argued with me over a statement that he made in attempts to up sell me on a more expensive grade of oil. To sum up, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO JIFFY LUBE AGAIN and suggest you not to go there either. I would recommend a firestone instead that will provide better customer service and service quality. Went here to get my oil changed this morning, they charged me $130 for the service, literally drove it 2 miles before my car started rattling and smoking and imagine my surprise when I popped the hood and oil was spilt everywhere. I got lucky there was another jiffy lube nearby and they were able to clean up all the oil and fix the issue for me. I drove back to this jiffy lube and the manager there (who did the oil change by the way) did not take any accountability, kept talking over me and tried to talk me out of having my car inspected for any damage his negligence caused. They gave me the number to customer car and I still have not received a call back! DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I drive a BMW and the first time I came here to get an oil change (super close to my house) they did not have the right type of oil my car required so the manager went out of his way to order it from BMW at no extra cost which was sooooo amazing. I stopped by this yesterday morning with my wife's car for an oil change. I was met in the lot by a young man who asked " how can I help". I replied, I would like an oil change please. He asked if I had this car in for an oil change before, I said no. I have taken my own car there many times over the years. He said do you know what our prices are? I said not exactly, but I have a coupon. He says lots of people drive off when they find out how expensive we are and told me for 20W it would be $69.95 or $89.95 if I wanted synthetic. I replied, "I would really like to get the oil changed". He then told me I did not need to cop an attitude with him. At that point I told him actually yes now I did need to cop an attitude and parked my car to find the manager. Upon entering the store, the first young man was behind the manager making more disrespectful comments. I stated to the manager, I want you to know why I am not buying your service today and started to recount the exchange. The first young man started inserting himself and I sternly told him that I had heard enough from him at which point he says see he is such a joke, this guy is a joke. The manager never uttered a word, no apology, no effort to save my business? I am posting this because this is someone's business, someone is paying these two. You may want to rethink that? Some of the worst experiences I've had when it came to oil change. 1. Everything is 2x the price of other places, 2. They take advantage of everyone who isn't completely knowledgeable when it comes to cars. I've watched them lie their way through an expensive sale to an elderly lady before, 3. They claimed I "HAVE" to get things done, 4. The rock chip guy will bullcrap his way into any sale. He tried the "that rock chip will turn into a crack in no time" about 3 times. Still isn't a crack. 5. Over the hand full of times I went in, they would lose screws to the splash guard on the bottom of my car until eventually it fell off while driving on the freeway. Thanks for that. 6. Their inexperience is very evident. They act as if they all hate their jobs. 7. They kept trying to convince me that my synthetic oil NEEDED to be changed every 3,000 miles. It's really 5,000. Do yourself a favor, and get some better service up the road at Firestone across from Chevron. Haven't really had much of any sort of problem there, and their service is usually great. read more
