My Gawd.... What Happened? I have to update my past glorious review of this place. I went to get my oil changed and had the worst experience. First of all, no one came to my car when I pulled in behind one of the garage doors. Ok... No biggie. I go in and they are working on the one car that's in there. It takes the gentleman about 10 minutes to even acknowledge me, and I had a bad feeling that I should just leave but I didn't. I had another opportunity to leave because he then tells me to move my car behind the other garage door. Really? Are you kidding me? Do you not have to get in my car to pull it into the garage anyway? Why are you having me go back outside to back up my car 10 feet and position it behind the other garage door. RIDICULOUS but I did it because I needed an oil change and I think I was in shock as to the terrible customer service thus far. Let's just fast forward through the harrowing 15 minute experience. The guy makes me go into the garage to review what I wanted. I have never had a mechanic take me into the garage before. He was so rude and condescending when I asked questions about if I should get a synthetic oil or just the conventional oil. He really acted like I was bothering him. I'm actually mad at myself for even allowing them to touch my car. Let's just fast forward because there's just too much to tell. Bottom line is I feel like I need to go and get another oil change somewhere else again because I'm not so sure they even did the oil change. They literally had my car in the shop like 8 minutes. I am not trusting anything they did because I asked them if they filled my washer fluid and the next day my low washer fluid signal comes on my car so obviously they did not fill it. They also checked denied next to if I wanted my car vacuumed without asking. I just feel like they did the bare minimum. I saw my car in there so I'm assuming they did put new oil in but who really knows.... I spent longer waiting for them to finish the car in front of me than for my oil change. I understand that oil changes can be rapid but I have had oil changes for 30 years and never has an oil change been this quick. I'm sure they checked nothing else and who knows if they even put my new air filter in. Keep in mind~ I was the ONLY customer.... They had time but I honestly think they wanted to go play. Yelp - I'm sorry; I have been cheating on you. Lately, the only reviews I have been furiously typing away are those to the actual company... you know, where you go to the actual website, scroll down, look for the uber tiny print that says, "contact us"? Yep, I click on that and type away... some have been great feedback, but some... *shakes head* Ugh. So, here's my actual complaint letter. Maybe this can be like a business review reality show since I'm actually writing to the company. But then it's not like Yelp is fake... but then.. wait. Huh? Whatever. Please don't send ME a complaint letter: To Whom It May Concern, I just visited Jiffy Lube #18888 this morning. I was very pleased with the efficiency of the service as there was no one there, but I am now concerned about what I was told regarding the ten dollar "rebate." The associate informed me that if I upgraded to the High Mileage Synthetic oil, I would qualify for a ten dollar rebate and get a check within the next few weeks. Never did he mention that this was a "service certificate" only to be used at Jiffy Lube. I disagree with the usage of the word "rebate" as it led me to believe that I would be getting money (in a form of a check) back. Never did I think I would be getting a COUPON for my next visit. Also, the associate did show me my cabin filter and recommended that it needed to be changed. He showed me the price of $54.99 and said, "well, since they're so jacked up, I'll take off ten dollars." The other associate below, with no knowledge of this "deal," shouted up, "is she getting the filter? I'll let her have it for fifty." What is this bargaining or discounting system that these gentlemen/locations use? I cannot believe that I could be quoted two different prices in a matter of minutes, and how do they simply come up with whatever "discounts" they deem acceptable? I have now come to realize that these cabin air filters can be purchased for $20 at an auto parts store and easily installed. With this, I am appalled that Jiffy Lube can charge me $55 for what takes two minutes to change... or maybe the price is actually $39.99 as stated on your pricing board, and I was just ripped off. VERY, very good to me. I'm a serious girl when it comes to vehicles & all the essentials that comes with it. I know how to drive & yea that's pretty much it. Luckily, I know when something doesn't sound or feel right. That was the case today. Months too late in taking care of the damage I added to my beater baby, Zake was a doll to me. He & his partner took care of the real necessary things, made recommendations & never made me feel dumb. In short, I liked my visit, the great customer service & the care for my truck. I've purchased a Groupon deal worth $45 for an oil change, and told the District Manager that was helping me that I would like to just use the Groupon deal for an oil change (the District Manager happen to be there training in the new General Manager). The DM told me that the deal does not cover my oil change, the oil change my vehicle need would cost $88. I told him, if that's the case, I don't want an oil change today. He said that his guy had already drained the oil out of my car. My oil indicator was at 40 percent and didn't need an oil change right a way. But they drain my vehicle oil and now I have no oil in my car. I was like what? You drained the oil already and then tell me this? I was not very happy with that. I can't believe that's how they get you to get an oil change with them. That's bad way to do business! read more

Staff was super knowledgeable and laid out all my options for me instead of being pushy about buying a new battery! They answered all of my questions and were really helpful! NEVER bring your vehicle to this location. I used to be a regular customer. Then one day they recommended I get an engine flush. I said no, but they kept saying I need it. I finally let them (btw this voids the warranty on your vehicle and is not recommended by Honda,gmc,ford etc) the work they did cost $750 damage to my vehicle which I had fixed immediately. Jiffy Lube NEVER returned my calls on the matter. I took them to court and won, because they never showed up. They since have never payed me or took any responsibility for the damage, which my mechanic said was their fault. I'm taking all these steps with the court house and the total they owe me now is over $1000 because of the court costs. Next step a sherif goes in and takes the money from them. This place is an absolute scam. Go to Cherokee service on Dodd Rd. They're honest and an oil change is cheaper then jiffy lube read more

I've been going here for years and have always received good service but my last few visits the service has been really extraordinary and that, for sure, has a lot to do with the manager, Steve Thompson. I am disappointed in my first - and last - visit to Jiffy Lube (station 1888) today. The best thing was that I could get right in and service was very quick. Other than that, the oil change I usually pay less than $20 for at Sears cost $51 at this location for regular, non-synthetic oil. Several additional services were recommended including a cabin filter for $50 some dollars. I declined that and purchased one at an auto parts store for $14.99 and easily installed it myself. I was also told that my radiator fluid was completely dry. I declined the fill on that and purchased a gallon of antifreeze at Target for $9, only to discover that my fluid was not dry and I could only fit about one cup in before the level came to the top of the radiator cap. The receipt shows that windshield wiper fluid was added but I discovered that not to be the case as I checked the level while adding antifreeze to the radiator. I had to add a couple cups of windshield wiper fluid to top it off. Since that information was not correct on my receipt I am not confident that the other items were actually checked and/or that the tire pressure was checked and adjusted. Finally as I was paying my bill the technician told me that I should change the oil again in 3000 miles. I told him that my car manual recommends 6000 mile intervals between changes unless the car is being driven a lot on gravel roads and other harsh conditions, in which case the interval recommended was 5000 miles. The technician say those intervals only apply to high performance oils, but that is not what my owner's manual says. All in all, I was discouraged at the price, all the up selling, and the falsehoods about what was done and what was needed. I'll be going back to Sears or even to the Toyota dealer for all future maintenance. read more

I had a terrible experience with another Jiffy Lube a while back which is why I started changing the oil myself for a while. I just needed to get it done so I drove up and told the first guy (ended up being the manager) who came up that I need to be told exactly what they are doing before they do it so I can sign off on the work- he said "of course" and then proceeded to really take care of me. I didn't have the coupon for $10 off but they gave it to me anyway and were polite the whole time. The vacuumed out my car and cleaned the windows (which it seems they do for everyone). Always excellent customer service. The people are polite and honest. They give all the options and they let me know what maintenance is suggested based on my mileage. They don't practice high pressure sales to boost their sales. The only reason they don't get the 5th star is they say I declined the vacuum, which I would never do. Where's manager Steve? I went to my local Jiffy Lube in West St Paul the other day with my daughter car. This is were I get all three of our cars serviced for nearly two years. When I asked the guy who greeted me where Steve was, he told me Steve no longer worked for the company. Where ever Steve is I which him the best of luck and I wish he still worked for Jiffy Lube. The service is just not the same any more. Steve was always friendly and carefully explained any additional service I needed and I never left without a final hand shake from him. The place no longer feels friendly, the guy in charge seems confused and not very friendly. The place needs a big dose of customer service. Sorry Jiffy lube I won't be back read more

The service here was very prompt and polite, and any problems they found they asked me before fixing and told me what the price would be. I too needed a new air filter. Each make/model has a different one and when they looked up what my jeep needed it cost $39.99. People have different cars and different cars have different parts. Honestly, I almost didn't go here when apple maps told me it had 1 star on yelp. I've gotten oil changes at much worse places in the cities so hopefully this fair and non-silly review will even things out. read more

I went into this location for a top-off on 7/20/15 and was told that the computer system didn't reflect my visit in May, therefor I did not qualify to have the fluids added. When I showed the GM my electronic bank statement with the service date and payment, he agreed to add 2 quarts of oil, but refused to add the other fluids. I emailed Jiffy Lube and expressed to them my awful expierence, and I haven't heard from them yet. Apparently they do not care about customer service. I will not be back to this location. I have never had this type of service there before, I do not like the change in staff in the last couple of months. read more
