I dropped my truck off on a Monday, main reason for drop off was service, recall on trailer module and fix the digi-shield on the door. Truck was at dealership 8 days. The person that installs digi shield comes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, both days my truck was there. It did not get replaced then. Only thing was service was completed and trailer module could not program. Bob was off this week and my case was passed off to Carri. She was very communicative, got my issues resolved and did what she could to help get my digi shield fixed. I got my truck back today after being vehicle less. They did help me get a loaner for the weekend, after being without a vehicle for the entire week. read more

Warning to others: Ask upfront how their appointment process actually works "Does this guarantee a time, or is it first-come-first-served?" I talked with two other customers in the waiting area and they both had been waiting for over two hours for oil changes; and both, like me, had scheduled an appointment. Even with an appointment my total wait time was 2.5 hours. I'd say that Jim Hudson needs to reexamine their appointment process.....or better yet, just be upfront with the customers and tell them that an appointment is meaningless. A lack of communication was astronomical, on top of the fact they broke my tire sensors in there care and told me there is no way they broke during the work "they were working when we dropped it off but now all the sudden they just went bad in fords care" the issue was never fixed and a total of $1000 was paid to them to receive My car back today with the issue still active and them telling me they didn't hear the noise I was talking about instead of having me come show them what I was hearing they said the issue was fixed and charged me $180 to pick the car up, but then "waved" the fee when I came back to complain nothing was fixed. if this is the type of pride Jim Hudson Ford gives there customers this will be the last time I will shop here to the point I don't ever want a ford vehicle again and I have owned them since I was 17. do not spend your hard earned money here. read more

Service department is horrible. Brought my vehicle in for a recall on a cracked catalytic converter and now my vehicle rattles where the work was done. Brought the vehicle back and was told I have a pinhole in my muffler and that was the noise. You can CLEARLY tell the noise is coming from the front where the work was done. Also had a leak in my sunroof that I brought in twice, once under warranty and the other just after. Nothing was done the first time and the second time I was told they would have to remove the dash and the job would take 7 hours. I bought some extra long pipe cleaners and did it myself (both front drains were just clogged). Every time I bring my vehicle to them something else is wrong.....sounds kinda shady. I have bought 4 vehicles from them and this will probably be my last. Sales people are great but the service department sucks. read more

My F150 FX4 had an issue with the front brakes. I took it to the service department, told them the right front caliper was locking up on occasion, even was smoking one time. They diagnosed it and told me I need all new pads and rotors, front and rear. I said wait the problem is with the front locking up and there were new calipers and rotors put on 20k miles ago. So NO, that's not the issue. Even had to go by there to look and the truck and explain it to them. They think they figured it out as failed brake line that was not replaced when the calipers were replaced previously from them both locking up. We will see in time pulling the boat. Also the truck needed a rear diff pinion seal. I asked them to replace the seal and change the fluid in the diff. They then proceeded to charge me for 4 units of oil and sealant. Well they never removed the differential cover. So no sealant was used and the diff only holds 2.6 units of oil. Now they claimed they can pump out diff gear oil through the fill hole. Now I have changed diff oil in my life and always remove the diff cover. Provided pics of the rear diff, you can see the cover nor bolts were touched. So if you know anything about cars, READ the bill before paying it!! Probably will never use Jim Hudson Ford again. read more

Jim Hudson Ford sold us a certified pre-owned Expedition that had marijuana in it. We bought the vehicle on a cloudy day and it smelled fine. We got the vehicle home and, after it sat in the sun with the doors closed, the smell of marijuana became overwhelming. Upon further inspection, we found residual bits of marijuana leaf in the glove compartment and on the dashboard. We took the Expedition back to Jim Hudson to get it cleaned again, and they did. In the meantime, they gave us an Explorer to drive that smelled like cigarettes. We were just grateful to have a vehicle so we appreciated the Explorer regardless. We got the Expedition back and it smelled like they had cleaned it... after it sat in the sun, however, the smell returned... We searched the vehicle and more marijuana was found in the window gaskets. After this, we decided we had spent too much money on the vehicle to have to keep fighting this problem. Also, the smell was so strong that we were concerned with it affecting our children and/or our professions. We met with Jim Hudson Ford and decided it would be best to just sell it back to them. Too much time had elapsed (20 to 30 days) for us to get our trade in back, so they would have had to sell it back to us. The sale of our vehicle would not have been even, and we would have lost money on it and then have to resell it again. All-in-all, we lost close to $10k on our trade-in and left Jim Hudson Ford with no vehicle. I don't care about red tape or sales rules... when you sell a vehicle with an illegal substance in it, you should at least allow the customer to break even on departure. I ordered a brand new 82 thousand dollar Ford Transit van build in June of 2024. From the minute I walked out the door, I knew I made a mistake going to this dealership. Over 6 months, I had zero communication from the dealership unless I called and texted. At one point, I had to go down to the dealership because I couldn't get any information on the phone. The sales manager wouldn't even come out and talk with me. Instead, he sent the salesman to ask what i needed. Fast forward 6 months, I called Ford corporate to see about the status of my build, and they told me it was CANCELED! Due to them stopping to build 2024 vehicles, and that my dealer should have called me to discuss reordering a 2025. Not a word from my dealer. literally the worst experience Ive had with servicing my car. I bought my car from here. I was giddy getting it home so I overlooked the swirls they put all in the clear coat of the paint. obviously that's on me but who can expect a car dealership to damage their own new car inventory sitting on the floor inside the building? clearly one that doesn't care. I took my car to get serviced here and when I pulled in, the guy was insanely rude and was acting like I didn't know anything about my own car. I'm not someone to be rude back so I obviously didn't say anything. i made it known there was a squeal in my brakes and to check it. I go to pick up my car and I see it sitting out front. the guy calls someone to go get my car for me and I watch the guy literally drive it 6 feet closer to the entrance of the service center and almost take out my front lip on the curb. the guy informs me that there was no problem with my brakes. I get in my car and realize there is quite a noticeable squealing noise when I brake. I also notice that the amount of mileage on the car upon intake was the exact same as when I left DOWN TO THE FRACTION OF A MILE. now I'm no rocket scientist but I can imagine at least a fraction of a mile would be put on the car in the process. also the fact that I took a picture of my mileage before I left it with them and it was not the mileage stated on the paper I received at the end. also love that it was clear people were sitting in my passenger seat and the ring scratches and basically gouges left on the interior of my door where you go to open it. I only went in for a routine oil change and to check my brakes, there's no reason to have my seatbelt all mangled in my passenger seat or the seat moved. I don't let people ride with me as It sits in a garage most of the time as a collectible. Brought my car to this stealership in to get the radio fixed. I scheduled an appointment to drop it off on a Monday. Called on Wednesday to get an update and they said they have a lot of cars and would get to it on Thursday. Called Thursday and said they just put it into the garage to work on it on Friday. I called the following week left messages and never had my calls returned for a whole week. So Today( Wednesday) I finally went up there to just get my car back at that point. And it was apparently done being worked on ( never notified me) and charged me $400 for diagnostic work and quoted me $4,000 to fix the radio. It stayed there for almost two weeks and I had no vehicle to go to work or school. The customer service and communication was terrible. What's the point of having an appointment if it's going to take 2 weeks? Going forward y'all should give people a drop off and pick up date based on your actually availability and not just provide the excuse that you have a lot of cars to work on. Super sad at my last experience there. Scheduled an oil change, made an appointment for 9am. Dropped off at 8:40. The service rep told me it would be good to go and he would call when it was done. Test drove a Ford Explorer and things went pretty smooth but wanted to look at few other vehicles before making a decision. Contacted our sales rep over text to say we were interested the following Friday. We received a quote for list price plus all of the add ons for car wax, air in the tires and various other items to the tune of $2000 plus. Went to the dealer on Friday night to get the deal a little closer but management would not negotiate. Salesman reached out the following day and we worked out a deal that was acceptable and we setup an appointment for Monday. In the mean time, the dealership sold the vehicle. Salesman reached out Monday morning to inform me the vehicle was sold and we could order another one. I am of the opinion that the sale was complete over text and the next customer should have been offered the order option. Either way Jim Hudson did not earn my business. Buyers beware. Made an appointment online for a "10,000mi service" (oil change and tire rotation). Arrived 15min ahead of schedule. Service rep couldn't understand that I wanted a 10Kmi service "We don't sell that" - proceeded to show him on their website where they do and had a screenshot of my online order. Ten minutes of fumbling with the computer and all he could enter was the oil change and that it would be a 3hr or more wait. I asked about my appointment time - he said that the time was "like a restaurant reservation" and that I should expect to wait. When I inquired about how to get an oil change and service at the time requested, he suggested not there. People in general tend not to trust car services and this company is a prime example as to why. They tend to try to upsell unnecessary things or misdiagnose. I dropped my vehicle off for what I thought would be covered under warranty, at the Ford dealership in Lexington. They told me upfront that if it wasn't, I would pay the $200 diagnostic fee. They called me the next day and stated that it was not under the recall/extended warranty so the fee was due. I was fine with that. Sadly, my car was still not diagnosed for the issue I brought it there for and they claimed to road test it, which merely consisted of driving it around their lot. read more
