Being from Texas, I eat a LOT of Bar-B-Q. So Jim 'N Nick's can definitely hang with the best of them. I have no idea what the actual restaurant looks like because I ate lunch at a business meeting where the food was catered in. This is just about the grub. Their sweet tea was perfect! The turkey was very good. Not the best I've had, but I'd eat it any (make that every) day of the week. The pulled pork BBQ was even better. Never had any that tasted like that. It had it's own unique flavoring. There were two sauces. Don't know the name, but the mild one was very sweet and the hot one was hot enough to melt asphalt. They also delivered two sides. The cole slaw was about as average as it gets. Not bad, just not unique. One portion and you are likely to have more than enough. On the other hand, the bbq baked beans were amongst the best that I've ever had. Large chunks of actual meat, onions, and peppers. Tasty with brown sugar. These are just the way I love them. Well done here. They came with what everyone called hush puppies. Nothing like any seafood hush puppy I've ever had. It was more like a small muffin of cornbread. Sweet cornbread. It was almost a dessert. Finally, we had a lemon pie. It came in a sheet tin so I was confused between lemon pie and lemon cake. Either way, it was very good. Nice graham cracker crust and whipped cream topping. It was a nice tangy finish to the lunch. I would definitely recommend going for take out. Four of us arrived right at noon for a business lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately at a high top table by the bar. We ordered drinks and they have freshly squeezed lemonade so I had to order. It was delicious and refreshing. This was my first visit so I went with what my friend that recommended the place ordered, the beef brisket sandwich. I do a pretty good brisket myself so I'm pretty hard to please. Well, it wasn't as good as mine but I'll give it four stars. The meat was tender and the flavor was a milder smoke than I like. Now their baked beans I would like to be able to duplicate. The first time I went the waiter suggested the brisket sandwich. It was amazing! However, I've had it twice since then and it's been okay. The first time was melt in your mouth good. My son and I try to go here as a boys night at least once a month, the food is delicious. I recommend the 3 meat platter with the Carolina pork, Barbecue Chicken and Brisket. The first time I ate at this restaurant the customer service was so warm and welcoming but this time it was a horrible experience. let's start with the customer service the customer service was horrible I was still speaking to the woman an she walked off while I was still talking to her then she gives us drinks with no straws I asked for straws an she did everything else that she had to do to the point where my son had to get up and get straws for us. once we got the food the food presentation was horrible and just thrown onto the plate never once did she come back and ask if we were OK. I eat Jim and Nicks just about once a week as it is convenient to my job and the price is reasonable. I always order the "piggy potato with pork" with a sweet tea to drink. The drive thru price is a little over 10 dollars, not too bad. Today I visited and went inside to order and eat. I ordered the same exact potato with sweet tea except this time my total bill was over 14 dollars. Same menu item, smaller size tea, same size potato but 4 dollars more, approximately 31% more!!!! Just for going inside. When asked two employees about this I was told that the drive thru and dine in are considered two separate systems. An answer that wasn't really an answer. I definitely left feeling scammed by Jim and Nicks. If you want to save money stick to the drive thru, if not go inside and pay approximately 31% more for the same exact thing like I did. Food was good like always. UPDATE** A Manager contacted me in regards to the difference in price. There is an ounce difference in the amount of meat received in the drive thru versus dining inside. All drive thru items are their "Lunch" sizes. Changed my review from a 1 Star to a 4 star because I really enjoyed the food but disliked not know why such a steep increase in price. read more

So I'm in town for a few weeks and am recommended to go to Jim an Nicks for BBQ. So I work 70 hrs this week, finish my shift and want to treat myself to a good hearty meal as I haven't had a cooked meal in weeks. Half order of onion rings (man that sounds good), their claimed famous chili (no way I'm passing that up), pulled pork is my weakness but I was going to ask the waiters favorite and probably order that, and homemade pie! (Don't mind if i die!) and a beer for the long day and a recommended local spirit if they support local distillers. And hey, I'm in a great mood! I feel generous!, tipping was going to be pretty good. So I put my phone/menu down, a universal sign that you are ready to order and I see a waitress. We make eye contact, things are going to be great! And she walks right by me...hunh. Maybe she couldn't read my face behind my mask, since I'm socially distant at that point I take it off. I see another waitress! Sweet! I can finally order my drinks and maybe food! We make eye contact as she approaches, I smile now and she can definitely see I am serious. Shes an angel, and let me vent for a few min in the parking lot. I wind up going to the liquor store in the same parking lot and buy a nice bottle of Scotch. And you know what I did, I told two people there about my time at Jim and Nicks. I then go the the Publix in the same parking lot to get some food because I am still so angry that I'm not hungry any more but I know I have to eat after working so much. So in the grocery store I encounter 6 other people who strike up conversation with me and I tell them of my time at Jim and Nicks. While the turkey was dry and fell below the average belt, the brisket and ribs did impress and what kid wouldn't love the nachos and loaded potatoes served here? I've always been a fan of their pulled pork, too. One great thing about this place is the sides rival the meats. More importantly, they have more than baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw. Pretty darn good!!!! Close to our favorite Texas style bbq!!! The cheese muffins are amazing! All of our food was DEEELISH! We were surprised to know that it's a chain! I don't normally like bbq chains but this one was actually pretty good. What made it good was the fact that they are one of the few that have delicious spare ribs with the tips still attached. These ribs were house smoked with a delicious dry rub and good thing for it because the sauces left much to be desired. The sides here were good too. Love the ribs. Most of the time they are thick, meaty, and fall off the bone delicious. We often use their take out service. Just make sure you check the bag before leaving. On one occasion we were missing the chicken strips and another occasion we were missing a pie.
