Stopped in on the way back to the office. Asked for a sub with no sauce. Got back to work to find it covered in sauce on both sides of the bun. I thought "no big deal, honest mistake, they deliver, I'll just call and get it replaced". Wrong! Since my order was not originally a delivery order they would not deliver a replacement. When I first had JJ's, I was totally underwhelmed but then I had Subway and I realized that Jimmy John's had something that no other sandwich shop has- fresh baked bread. The real deal kind of stuff. Other sandwich bread felt so airy and unsubstantial but JJ's bread was thick and hearty. I'm a big fan of their tuna as well. Something about is so addicting! Also, they are fast. Like, order and blink and BAM! There's your sandwich. Jimmy John's just does a lot of things right whether it's the speed or the delivery or the pickles. OH GEEZ THE FREAKING PICKLES. I'm gonna start with a 2 star mainly because of my most recent experience. I ordered Jimmy John's today and the guy who delivered my sandwich said, "Here's your shit. I need you to sign this but I don't have a pen." He then proceeded to look at my shirt which has a professional team he is not a fan of and said, "By the way, I hate your favorite team. They suck." It was just a really unpleasant and awkward experience. Thankfully my sandwich was prepared flawlessly (and I have lots of extras and changes to typical sandwiches). I hate that he is the reason I probably will avoid this Jimmy John's in the future, but you cannot have delivery guys like that. It puts a bad taste in my mouth, which isn't fair to the sandwich. This was my first time to go to Jimmy John's and will probably be my last. I was surprised to find out they don't have any hot sandwiches and I am not a fan of cold subs but ordered one anyway. I asked for ranch instead of mayo and was told they didn't have any. Really?? I thought every restaurant had ranch dressing. My sandwich was large so I took it back to the counter and asked the guy to cut it in half and he said he couldn't because of some health code thing so he hands me as knife. This place is the absolute worst. It cuts costs wherever possible and skimps on literally every ingredient to nickel and dime already poor college students. The bread is under cooked and inedibly doughy, the tomatoes (what little actually make it on the sandwich) are slimy, and lettuce is used to try and mask the appalling quality but only leaves the sub tasting wet and bland. This place has not heard of the slogan, "The customer is always right", or "Have it YOUR way." I asked then to include my cheese on the side (so I could eat it separately from the sandwich). They said they were not allowed to do that. Wha? And they weren't even very sad about it. Another thing that irked me, is that they dug some of the bread out of the inside of your roll. Let me begin by saying I love me some Jimmy John's, however, this location is the worst. This is the 2nd time I have placed an order for delivery to my office, which is just a little over a half a mile away and it took over 20 minutes for my food to arrive. I called the store after 15 minutes and the manager said the delivery driver is on the way. No explanation, no apology, nothing! When the delivery driver finally arrived I asked him why it took so long and he replied that they were "extremely busy right now". He then asked me to contact the store manager to let him know. So much for Freaky Fast! The worst part is I was asked to tip on the app (which I did 20%) before my food was even delivered. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. No joke, they are fast as hell and consistent to boot. A winning combination. If you're not in a rush, Great Outdoors across the street makes a better sandwich for a few dimes more. Sandwiches are somewhat pricey for what you get, but it's all pretty good. Absolutely LOVE this Jimmy John's! My husband and I get sandwiches and a cookie to share here every weekend, and we have been so many times now that the workers know exactly what we want! Placed and order online today and waited for almost an hour and no one ever came. I called the restaurant and spoke with Jeremiah who looked up my order and said "Wow you ordered this at 12:15?" It was about 1:05 when we were speaking. He says "hold on let me check on this" he then gets back on the line and said well someone came out and called but got no answer so they left. NO ONE CALLED ME as I was literally sitting and waiting by my phone. We have a receptionist sitting in front of the building so the driver could have asked her to come get me if they got no answer so I know they were lying. When I advised Jeremiah the no one called me to tell me my order had arrived his reply was simply " so do you want it or not?". I was in the mood for a tuna sandwich and wanted to try something different, so I ended up here. I had the tuna club ($5.99), which was a solid fresh sandwich, but was made with too much mayonnaise and a massive amount of some of the palest, saddest iceberg lettuce ever. My husband had the Gargantuan sandwich ($7.99) which he also thought had too much mayonnaise. Our sandwiches also weren't toasted, which I totally forgot to request because they didn't ask...so I'm not even sure if they do that. Anyway, overall I can't say the food was bad, but for the price it is totally not worth it. I'd much rather go to Subway and get a sub that is 4 inches longer with more flavor and with a broader array of bread and vegetable options. People seem to rave about their homemade bread but I was not that impressed...and I went there at like 1:00pm so I would assume it was pretty fresh. Get a strong sense the franchise owner is more interested in giving the customer as little as possible to cut costs. Heard from another person who went to this restaurant that they charge $.80 for the wheat bread and don't tell you.
