Decided to order delivery for the first time at school and since they were across the street, I thought it would be neat. I ordered around 7pm and didn't get my food until an hour later. Totally not the driver's fault though because the workers over the phone should let people know how long of a wait it would be. The driver came in shaking and red in the face, apologizing. I felt so bad for him. Long story short, do better with communication and be more mindful of the other employee's job responsibilties and the customers who expect their orders to be on time. read more

On a Saturday afternoon my family and I ordered classic Jimmy Johns delivery. While the delivery was quick as promised we were quickly defeated once opening our bag to check the order. One of our sandwiches was missing. Thinking that it's wasn't that big of a deal we just called in and let them know. Unknown to us, things were about to get a lot worse. Chance the manager let me know they'd get me my meal of course he had doubts that I didn't have it already. While waiting for my delivery my family sits down to eat and only to find out their orders were wrong too.... a staple item in one of their sandwiches was missing. I frequent a lot of subsandwich shops and I have to say I was really impressed with Jimmy John's on my first visit. The bread, meat, and vegetables tasted a lot fresher than most of the competitions and their mayonnaise was excellent. The service was very fast,but the employees still took the time to chat with us and make sure we got everything we needed. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu soon. read more

I love this place. Unlike subway, the actually deliver which makes life a lot easier. Similar choices as other deli stores you just have to request in on the website which is also easy to use after the first time. Though they may not toast, that is something I can live with when their sandwiches are so good. At least they are not burnt like many of the toaster ovens do at subway. read more

The food is what you come to expect from Jimmy John's but the delivery time is not as freaky fast as they claim. Every time I order from them, I have to wait 30 mins to an hour to receive my delivery. I worked at a Jimmy John's and the goal was to make the order in under 3 mins and out the door by 5 mins and delivered by 10. That's why Jimmy John's has such weird delivery ranges, so that the deliveries can be freaky fast. But this one misses the mark. read more

I mean, they really aren't lying when they say they are freaky fast. That's why I love this place, they deliver and they don't mess around! I love the Bootlegger Club, Club LuLu, Beach Club, and Turkey Tom. I like how you can still customize your sandwich and add extras and remove things you don't want. The prices are reasonable, too. It took 55 minutes (my lunch break was over). Not so freaky fast these days. Good is always consistent so I'm giving three stars. Won't be ordering from this location again though because I can order from the one in Norfolk and they could get it to me in VB in less time. Really bummed cause this was my go to for busy days at the dealership. I will say though that they attempted to make things right by giving me my sandwich free and I appreciate that however I used a gift card and the refund will not repost... We WERE regular JJ customers, always delivery. Ordered $28 worth of food the end of Oct and when opened the delivery it was wrong. So we called the store and lady said they were closing. Was sorry but not sending a driver back, BUT she was the manager and would give us a free sub on our next order. I quizzed her, got her name, wrote all info on my receipt and asked how this would happen - "just call in tell them what happened or ask for me and we'll take care of it". Order from here all the time my business is located a couple miles from them near town center and we order at least once a week.I always get the Billy Club cut in half with a pickle as well man it is always great and freaky fast!Forget what the anal metrosexual punks on here complain about them have always had good service and if ive ever had a problem they took care of it,in closing if your outside their delivery then pick it up!!Highly recommend eat there enjoy!! read more

Been ordering from this location for over 6 months and service is usually great, i live less than a mile so it usually takes only 15 minutes to arrive, the food is always on time, good and the drivers are friendly...until recently since about late january the drivers have taken much longer to deliver food usually over a hour, this is pretty ridiculous considering i live less than a mile away, the extremely slow delivery after slow delivery has made me less willing to order from jimmy johns and just go someplace else. First of all I like Jimmy Johns. However our experience at this location...forget it. My husband and I always split a lettuce wrap because we just can't each eat a whole one. Every JJ we go to cuts them for us. Plus they're easier to eat that way! This location refused today, even though they have before. Even told my husband they didn't have any knives to cut it! Really?! How do you run a restaurant without knives? Manager himself was very unconcerned and didn't bother him in the least when we left. For a restaurant chain that says they like to fix good the way the customer wants it, they need a bit of improvement! read more

Had lunch today for the first time what a Total Disappointment!! Where to begin the place was packed and there was almost no place to sit. This is not something I would normally complain about but in this case most of the seating was taken up by people that work in the area and go there for lunch without buying lunch. Basically they packed there own sandwiches and snacks just to get a drink in this place so it looked like a homeless shelter. Have to also mention that it is totally against health codes to let people bring in outside food into a restaurant. Next the sandwich itself was nothing great mediocre at best. The inside set up sucks almost no way to get to the drinks when there is a line waiting for the sandwiches. Do yourself a favor go up the road to Jersey Mikes if you want good food and if enough of us stop going to this shabby excuse of a sandwich shop maybe something good will move in when it goes under. read more

Was visiting Virginia Beach on vacation and decided to come here for lunch. Back home, the employees at Jimmy John's are very friendly and personable. However the cashier at this location was very rude. I ordered my usual sandwich (without cheese since I am lactose intolerant), and the lady kept insisting that I should get it with cheese. In the end, she agreed to my order but continued to be judgmental about it. All I wanted was my usual sandwich, not the unnecessary fuss that came with it. We had what passes for lunch today.....sad state of affairs in this sandwich shop. There were multiple, as in 5-6 people eating thier brown bag luches from home taking up seats that should have been for paying customers. That in and of itself was enough to turn my stomach.....talk about health code violations!!! There is no outside food allowed in dining establishments because there is no way to control the spread of salmonella etc when they put thier food on the tables. The tables never even got wiped down while we were there.....so if anyone ever gets sick here, there is probably a reason why. The drink staation is set right next to the pick-up area, there is no table or counter to set your drink on while you put a lid on it and no trash can for straw wrappers....there are no napkin dipersers, no salt and pepper out...no mayo, nothing unless you ask for it. There was NOTHING special about the sandwiches, I could do better at home, and much less expensively......Don't bother going here, go about a mile further down toward the main library and on the left is Jersey Mike's......GREAT!!!! On a business trip, just wanted a quick dinner. The staff was not friendly and the sandwich was horrible. The meat was wet and had no taste, the bread was stale and the server dumped oil and vinegar on my sandwich without asking. Not a good experience. read more

I ordered from this JJ's twice a week, at least, but today I screwed up my order. Bad enough that I couldn't eat it. It was totally my fault but when I called and asked if there was anything I could do besides buying a new sandwich, Chance told me "no problem, we'll have the correct one out soon".
