Anne-Marie met with us after 5 during the week and took the time to explain the homebuying process and answers several of our questions. We were given a packet with all of this information and during the meeting there was absolutely no pressure to try and find a house quickly- and we didn't. Over the next couple of months Ann-Marie's patience really shown through. The wife and I found houses here and there, on zillow and through the miller group platform, that we wanted to look at- sometimes we'd only see one house after Anne-Marie meeting use 30-40 miles away from her office, only because it's the only one we wanted to look at. We did this until early March when we finally found the house we wanted. Anne-Marie gave us solid advice for submitting our offer that I am 100 percent sure led to our offer being picked by the seller. The closing process was smooth and Anne-Marie/the Miller Group really stayed on top of everything. I would not hesitate to work with Anne-Marie again.

She's been very forward and is practically family. There've been a few homes we liked but we secretly sabotaged the deal because we didn't want to part ways with Amber (kidding). In all seriousness, there was a 2400 sq foot home we adored. We liked the immediate area. We loved neighborhood, etc. Amber said she heard something negative about the area as we were about to submit our offer. She ended up recollecting and informed us of a 650 acre Auto Mall. Upon further investigation, the automall developer is notorious for adding a truck stop and strip club wherever they build (maybe a coincidence). Either way Amber could have saved herself a lot of time and energy and kept quiet. Instead, she looked out for our needs and 8 months later, she's still with us, patiently dealing with my cynical and outgoing personality. Definitely my realtor for life. ****Update 7/13/2019**** Had an interesting experience and had Amber in my corner. I don't want to share exactly what she did but I do want to say that most people in business would never go out of their way for the customer like she does. By the way, I spoke to a professional who was unaffiliated with Amber. They spoke highly of her and said I was lucky to have her as my agent due to her tact, knowledge, and professionalism. We were involved with another agent (seller's agent) and the agent was so unprofessional they probably cost their seller a deal. Had Amber been representing both parties, the deal would have most likely gone through.

Let's start by saying she's definitely not as young as the photos. To include her yelp photo. Those…read morephotos are at least 10+ years old with filters and yet she still uses them for her advertisements. I also never met her or even spoke to her until she showed up at my house. My first call was with her brother and he said she would be meeting him there, but he never showed. Look out for the bait and switch, which already put a bad taste in my mouth for how this was gonna go. My home is definitely not a higher end home, but it is a good starter home with everything updated for a young family. Karen came in already downplaying the value of the house with a very low number of what it would sell for. Ironically, I got that same number from opendoor, which is an investment firm that buys the houses for about 80 to 85% of their true value. Clearly she had already looked at my house as just an investment property. The entire time all she did was say I've done this and I've done that, but she never made it feel like we would be working together to sell my house for the most money possible. She only brought three comps which were as far away as 4 miles. Simply put she's a dinosaur in this industry and unless you have a home valued at 500,000 or more she doesn't seem interested. She left a lot of old flyers and not a single one. had an older home with updates on it so I highly doubt my house would've even made her flyers. Yes she did say the company spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure they're listed first and do the social media work, but is that truly selling my house on all of those platforms or is it just selling the company and the higher end homes? I went with a younger more social media connected realtor who came in with a number $55,000 higher than what Karen said my house would sell for which was backed up by eight comps within a mile of my house. I think that just goes to show that Karen wanted to flip my house for an investor. Will it sell for that higher number, maybe not but if you don't try you'll never know. Karen was willing to leave money on the table to move me along and help her investors!
