Wow! As delicious as it was beautiful. We then each had a pasta - I had the venison ragu, my husband had the vongole linguine (clams), and our friend had the paparadelle w/ speck, like a carbonara. The hotel rooms are nice, but they are outdated in decor. In the summer the room are very, very hot...don't think about taking a nap, there is no air conditioning, and my daughter had jet lagged and was in the room. When we returned from hiking all day, it is really hot in there. We all agree, a five star hotel should have air conditioning even in the mountains in Southern California, and even here at the beach, we need air conditioning in the summer. The spa is really nice, the extras are great, the outdoor pool is so nice, and fun to sit in as well. The prices are fair for what you get. I think this is a four star hotel....not a five star hotel..so be prepared, and enjoy yourself knowing what your are getting...great service, expensive for what it is, nice amenities and a hot room, in the day in the summer.

Very easy to get an appointment at the spa and the services are reasonable prices. If I remember correctly massages are $60-70 or so for 50min. They have many classes such and yoga and some that runs in the spa. There is an adult only spa section which was nice and there is a beautiful natural cold plunge. As for the food. The breakfast was great. Dinner was a bit disappointing. We ended up only eating in twice and went out the rest of the nights even though dinner was included in our package. The rooms and the beds are comfy and the gym is well equipped.

We stayed for two nights and were able to get rest and recharge for the long hikes during the day. the location is super convenient to walk to the cable car, the bus station and the main plaza and restaurants in the town. The rooms were cleaned and sanitized and all the linen, including the bath robes were soft and inviting. The staff was really attentive and polite and made sure we had a pleasant stay. We did have a bit of an issue while trying to pay as the credit card system was down and our taxi to the next spot was waiting, so we had to rush to get cash to be able to pay. Try to settle your tab early if you can !

The location of this hotel is great since it's walking distance to downtown Cortina (lots of shops, bars, restaurants). Not a particularly impressive spread but got the job done. The spa (aka Wellness Center) is large with multiple saunas and steam rooms (coed). They also have a pool and hot tub, which always had kiddies playing - don't expect an oasis. I opted for a massage one afternoon, and it was below average. Also the spa receptionists don't speak English, unusual for a fancy hotel.

We also had dinner at their dinning room the night we were there. There were only trout and lamb as choices for main dish. Trout was all right. However, the lamb was so good that I might have to say it was the very best I have ever had in my life. Love the staff, food, location and services here. Highly recommend to anyone coming this way.
