Jim's carpets is a large shop selling a wide range of carpets as well as laminate, engineered and real wood, and vinyl flooring. They also provide a bespoke carpet colouring service allowing you to match the colour of your chosen carpet to any desired interior colour scheme! The ground floor of their shop has a large display area for carpets, mats and rugs and there's more downstairs, where you can find laminate, wood and vinyl flooring options as well as a variety of rugs of different sizes, styles and prices. First established in Leeds in 1962, Jim's Carpets has nearly 50 years experience catering for Leeds' flooring needs and the staff give the impression of enjoying their job - they are friendly and more than happy to help and give advice on any of their products. Jim's Carpets is an independent shop and appears to pride itself on the experience and knowledge of its staff and the quality of its products, so if you're looking for flooring solutions Jim's Carpets would definitely be a good place to start! read more

Dont buy they sell SECONDS, take your money up front and then zero after sales/customer service....... 2 out of the 4 carpets have large faults on them - . even there own carpet specialist said they should never have been fitted as the faults are clearly visible. The fitters damaged the skirting of my newly fitted wardrobe and chipped the paintwork in my hall and bedroom. There are also gripper scratches on the walls. They offered to replace 2 carpets but with 50% being faulty and the damage i asked for a refund. At this point i was told i was after FREE carpets by the manager!!!!!. My husband has been dealing with him for the last 12 months - yes 12 months, promise of call backs and excuses. We paid 2k in total and they finally refunded a pittance of £138. I have bought 6 carpets from Jim's Carpets. I have been very happy with the staff in the shop, the quality of the carpets and the fitters until recently. The fitter who fitted my bathroom and toilet carpet recently, damaged the walls, skirting board and broke the side-panel fittings on my new bath. I did not receive return telephone calls from Jim's carpets when promised and I have not received acknowledgement of the 2 letters that I have written. The carpets are generally good but I have now discovered that the after sales service is non-existent. I will be looking for a different company to supply and fit my hall, stairs and landing carpet later this year. read more

Do not buy a carpet from this company. I spent over £700 on 2 stair carpets. The fitting was horrendous, it was visibly frayed at the edge, constantly kept coming loose on the stairs and looked a mess. Their carpet fitter came out 4 times to try to correct it, and when it started to come loose once again, I insisted they sent out a different fitter. He was appalled and said that the whole carpet needed replacing, as it had been fitted so badly, it couldn't be re-fitted. When they replaced the carpet, they found that the carpet was also faulty, the backing turned to dust (in the words of the fitter), which was one of the reasons it kept coming loose. In fitting the new carpet, the new paintwork inevitably got quite badly scratched (despite the carpet fitter taking care), as the grippers and underlay also had to be replaced. When I spoke to Jim's Carpets about this, they told me that they had replaced the carpet "as a gesture of goodwill" and it was just tough that the paintwork had been scratched - that was for me to sort out! Terrible customer service, had to constantly chase them at each stage. Coudln't be worse to be honest. read more

I had fantastic service at Jims and the staff were very knowledgable and helpful. They have a huge range of carpets and laminate and a beautiful showroom on kirkstall road. I had a tight budget but the staff helped me find some great quality carpets for the money I had and now my house looks great! read more
