Let me start of by saying the whole reason for me giving these guys 2 stars is not based on the quality of the paint job on my firearm. I give them 5 stars for their DuraCoat work! The reason they only received 2 stars from me is based on the way they conducted business with me.
After doing my research on jimsgunsupply.com, I decided to go ahead and give them a call to get more info.I called on Nov. 11, 2010 and asked them what the turn around time was to DuraCoat (paint) my firearm? James (owner) response was it would take 3-4 weeks to finish and get it back to me. So 30 minutes later I rushed my firearm to UPS and sent my package "NEXT DAY AIR" (Lord knows how much that costs)!
I waited about 2 weeks before I decided to give them a call to find out the progress. Only to get bad news by the owner who said " Sorry Eric, we got really swamped with the Hunting season rifles and haven't had the opportunity to get to yours". Keep in mind i called 30 minutes before shipping it next day air thinking i would get it back in 3-4 weeks. So 2 more weeks pass by and i give them another call to find out status again. The response this time was " Sorry Eric, but we got a huge load of Pink Lady guns to paint... this never happens". So they assured me it would be up on the sticks and ready to paint next. 3 weeks pass by and a few phone calls in between to check on status and finally it was slowly getting painted. I'm now expecting to receive my rifle back after about a month and a half pass by. But guess what? I have to call yet again. This time the owner responds by saying he got a call from the police department and was asked to work 12 hour days for 3 days straight along with being snowed in. The only thing left for them to do at this point is assemble my rifle and return it back to me. One more week passes and now it's been 2 months and counting with NO rifle. I emailed the owner and explained everything to him that i did on this review. I even went as far as asking him if we can make a deal on shipping costs being it's been a month pass the time he said and the response was, " I will send it out Monday (1/10/11). I just received my rifle back on Friday (1/14-11). Total of 9 weeks pass by!!
