I highly recommend Jim's Tree Service!! He did an AMAZING job for us! He got here at about 7:30AM and they were done around 11:30/12:30ish (I wasn't paying very close attention) but it was a BIG job. Jim was very kind, friendly, respectful. He humored my 8-year-old son when my son told him that the larger the truck the bigger the turn radius... or something to that effect, my incredibly smart son said it way better I just did lol. His employees were also very kind, very friendly, respectful, and clean. We gave them A cooler filled with cold bottled water & a bag with other empty cans and the recycling bin. They all made sure to clean up after themselves. Jim was happy to whatever we asked with the wood chips and the trees. Our trees had "vines" growing around the trees. The vines were the size of smaller trees so when I say it was a big job I'm not exaggerating. We will most definitely need more trees removed in the near future and I know exactly who we will be calling. Jim! Especially since we paid exactly what we were quoted! I see most of the negative reviews on here are from a few years ago, but man, it sure doesn't sound like those folks used the same business that I dealt with this week. I set up an appointment to have someone come out and look at the trees on my property two weeks ago. The woman who answered the phone was pleasant and accommodating and put me on the schedule. This week, Anthony came out on Tuesday. He gave, what I thought, was an insanely reasonable quote for what in my mind was a tremendous amount of work. He walked the property multiple times, gave solid recommendations, told me it was probably a two-day job and that they were very busy, but would probably get me in some time in December or January. I was totally fine with this timeline. Come Wednesday evening, Anthony calls me up, says he has a job around the corner on Thursday, and would I mind if he knocked out my job on Thursday and Friday. How can you argue with a turnaround time like that? Come Thursday morning, Anthony and his crew show up, work five hours straight and kill the job in one day. They took down several large dead trees, cleaned up some scrub and low hanging branches, chipped up some and hauled out the rest. They blew the debris off my yard and into the woods, didn't rip up my lawn with their equipment, and Anthony was on-site leading his crew the entire time. The dude is a beast. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. I was more than happy to pay the quoted price once they were done. These guys are workers, and they know what they're doing. I will absolutely use them again, and will recommend them to anyone I can. read more

Jim's Tree service removed 10 Trees for my property . This includes a 110 foot high tulip tree , An ash tree which fell on the roof of the garage as well as many other trees around the perimeter of the house . Tony's crew was polite , professional and efficient . They arrived promptly at 8am and finished this job in totality by 3:30 pm . They were impressive for the amount of work performed . They left the yard clean filled in the impressions form the fallen trees and removed the tree from the roof of the garage quickly and easily . Well Anthony came out to give us a price. Estimate was given end of October. Told they were busy and it would take awhile. Second week of December I called and talked to his mom who answered the phone. Anthony called us back and said he made a mistake on quote of $2300. He wanted $500 more because he would have to dump some of the wood plus he thought he should get more for the stump. Well I picked them because it was a local business. I told them he was the experience person and the trees were there. I told him I was going with the tree service who gave us the same quote. So he says I'll take $100 off. I said thank you but no thank you. Today the other company came and I couldn't be happier. Lousy way to do business. read more

I had a great experience with problem trees near the house and power lines. Jim and his crew are experts! They quickly and carefully removed a tree sandwiched between my house and power lines with a transformer on a pole. The dead tree stump was removed below grade so all roots and any trace of it disappeared with a couple of bags of top soil! I was so encouraged that I had Jim prune a Giant tree hanging over the house that had dead branches. It was pruned back away from the house and all signs of dead branches are gone. The WORST!!!! Beware of this tree company. We had them take down a large tree and in the process their crew and trucks caused an immense amount of landscaping damage to our lawn. On top of that, his crew broke our sprinkler system and cracked a stone on our blue stone walkway. The owner refused to take accountability for the damage done to our yard which left us paying $1500 to fix the mess he left behind. We should have known that we were dealing with a problem company in the beginning when each time we called, our messages were never returned in a timely manner and the person responsible for answering the phone (the owners wife) was so unpleasant to deal with. We learned the hard way that cheaper is definitely NOT better. read more
