I was here with a group to try the Linzer Torte. It was sooo good. Nothing like the ones we see in the US. This is the real deal. The O.G. It is made with a buttery hazelnut crust and currants. Not raspberries like I have always seen on the knock-offs. (Although admittedly, those are pretty good too....no harm, no foul......they just aren't really what linzer tortes really are.) Anyhow, it's a busy little shop and we had a private section upstairs to enjoy our coffee. Our guide told us to put the little chocolate in the coffee too. Even though I usually like my coffee black, I obliged. When in Rome..... My only regret is not buying one to take home with me. I heard they travel and keep very well. read more

Specifically came here to have the linzer torte (which is completely different from the Linzer tart I was familiar with from the US) Lovely little cafe in a quiet street by the church. Cozy atmosphere, lots of small tables and chairs for you to enjoy a good cup of Viennese coffee and a slice of the torte! I also bought some of their chocolates to bring home for Easter! They have a wide selection of chocolates and pastries. read more

We were led here on a recent tour of Linz by our wonderful guide. I'm not a big pastry guy but I had to try a Linzetorte. The old building is gorgeous and worth just stopping by to walk through if it isn't too busy. We stopped in around 4 pm so it wasn't too crowded. The torte was excellent and the store very clean. Stopped here on a walking tour of beautiful Linz, Austria. The shop is beautiful, large & the desserts look fantastic! Although I only tried the tort, it was very tasty. When you are in the area I would recommend it. read more
