We ordered 3 items: * egg drop soup * spicy wontons * xiao long bao After placing our order the hostess checked up on us a little while longer and checked to see if we had ordered, then a few moments later another worker also checked on us and on our order so the staff was very attentive. The egg drop soup was absolutely delicious and very comforting, however, the spicy wontons were edible but we felt the wontons lacked more filling and there was more of the wonton wrapper vs actual filling. The xiao long bao were very disappointing we were provided with some ginger in the container but no sauce to go with the item itself. When we tried them we noticed they were chewy and just had a very unlikeable texture. It was very sad given that we spent almost $40 for 3 items and only 1 of 3 items were edible. We ended up discarding the rest. Overall, the staff was very attentive and nice and they had a really yummy egg drop soup but our overall food experience was poor and left us a little disappointed and unsure if we'd like to come back or not. Some of their dishes are upscale like the scallion lobster etc. we ordered Maoxuewang which is a bunch of inner organ ingredients boiled in a spicy broth. I personally don't recommend this dish as the flavor didn't soak in with the ingredients yet. So you taste the slickness, the oil but no salt or other umami flavor. Their xiaochaorou (stir fried thin sliced pork) is pretty good. Chachiang Noodles was yummy, but wished it had some more seasoning to it... we ended up adding hot chili oil which enhanced the dish a bit. Why are all the things i like expensive I found this place on tik tok of all things. Decided to try. We waited a pretty long time maybe 45 mins to get seated. It was a busy day and they kept having to rearrange the tables to fit bigger parties, but no biggie to me. You can see the people making the dumpling and such, behind this huge glass window. Kinda cool. Now we were seated and given menus. I did find it odd that the physical menu had no prices and we had to use a QR code to see how much everything was. Idk if that was a tactic to trick the customers or why they do it like that but it was strange to me. This place is expensive. Din tai fung expensive. $200 for two adults and a child expensive. With that being said, THIS SH*T WAS DELICIOUS omg!!!!!!! Like bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I ordered the garlic fried ribs ‍‍‍‍ literally the best i have ever had. I SMACKED THOSE. holy moly!!!!!!!!! Like what?! But they were $31 for 5 pieces. We got the xiao long bao of course and it was equally as tasty, definitely comparable to DTF. We also had the pork fried rice (BOMB) and hubby had some kind of spicy dry noodles that were kinda creamy which was also sooooo good. I love the food. It was so good. But I'll be honest, if Hubs knew how much it was gna be he'd probably had wanted to look elsewhere. To us, spending that much on lunch after church isn't really our thing. The restaurant is beautiful! We loved the ambiance, and even the chopsticks were such a nice touch. We brought our kids, and they were given cute Kuromi plates to use, which the kids loved. You can really tell they pay attention to all the little details. Every employee was so kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. The food was soooo good! We ordered the shrimp chow mein, vegetable chow mein, broccoli tofu, shrimp fried rice, and steamed dumplings. Every single thing was delicious. I'm also vegetarian, and I was so happy with the variety of options they had. It can sometimes be hard finding restaurants with multiple vegetarian choices that are actually flavorful, but they definitely delivered! We will absolutely be back! read more

I was really looking forward to trying this place after seeing an intriguing video calling it a dupe of Din Tai Fung. The food was good, I would say a 7/10. We ordered beef broccoli, chow mein, orange chicken, stir fried flat noodles, fried rice, Xiao long bao, steamed dumplings, spring rolls and hot and sour soup. The service was terrible. We did have a party of 10, so I do give some grace there though I will say the restaurant was not packed by any means. We had to continuously ask for plates and napkins. At one point I accidentally knocked over a cup of water and a couple of the servers just stared at us. One walked up and said "did you spill, oh it's just water and then walked away." Several minutes our server came back and dropped off napkins after I had already scrounged up the napkins we had and cleaned up. He lifted the sopping wet napkins over aunts head. Upon walking in, my family & I were greeted & seated right away. The server explained the menu to us, showed us some of the food favorites, & told us we can find the price by scanning the QR code. Our first order came out, which was string beans. I don't think the amount of beans they serve is worth the price they charge. The beans had a great texture. You get that crunch that you look for. However, IMO the beans were not as garlicky as I would like. When our first order came out, the server also brought out soup bowls. I was wondering why. I checked my order & realized I ordered the wrong thing. I mistakenly ordered the beef noodle soup, when I was trying to order the Chachiang noodles. I notified the server right away & he was really kind & got my correct order put in. My second order came out, which was pork fried rice. My first thought was where is the pork? (See picture posted) It looks like your typical fried rice but you cannot see the pork. I noticed the pork was very finely minced and mixed in. My dad ordered this and he wasn't very pleased. We notified the server and said how come there's no pork? They just looked at us and walked away. A few minutes later, one of the servers came out with another order of pork fried rice, however, this one had a little darker color to it. It still looked the same, & when we tried it, it tasted a little saltier. Maybe they cooked a new order and just added soy sauce? (See photo) My corrected order of Chachiang noodles came. It wasn't really what I was expecting. The sauce was not as dark as I expected. However, the taste did make up for it. It was very flavorful & wasn't too salty. The service here isn't too bad. It looked like a father, mother, son type of restaurant because they were the servers. My family and I got served by all of them. There was a lot of available seating. They used to be in Chino Hills but recently moved to this location. My mom and I were in the area nearby and wanted to try their xiao long bao. We also got the Shanghai wonton soup, yang zhou fried rice ($19.99), sautéed string bean with pork ($18.99), xiao long bao - 6 pieces ($9.99), chicken chow mein ($17.99). I just noticed their menu doesn't list the price. They were not heavy handed on the salt and the food was seasoned nicely. The xiao long bao was a bit dry so not as juicy. This place was located next to the sushi restaurant inside the plaza, so there is plenty of parking spaces. The decor was modern and clean with comfortable spaces to host both large and small parties. They had a diverse menu of Chinese dishes with prices that are a little on the upper range due to the location but they provided good portions. With my family, these were the dishes we tried: - Orange chicken- was only okay. - Spicy crispy chicken- tastes like Szechuan cuisines and have a gradual spicy taste. - Hot and sour soup- portion was enough to fill 9 small bowls, good taste of hot and sour flavor and like that they use fresh bamboo shoots. Need a little more chicken and tofu in the soup. - Shanghai style rice cake- okay if you like stir fried rice cake, comes with lots of shredded veggies. - Xiao long bao - comes in 6 pieces, right amount of soup and meat ratio to enjoy the soup dumplings, tastes good. - Pan fried pork- 8 pieces, nice crispy outside with juicy pork filling - Kung pao tofu- looks spicy but more sweet and tastes like kung pao chicken but with tofu- don't mind getting it again. - Fish with basil- lightly fried fish with basil. Very good and yummy. Highly recommend. - House special chow mein- enjoyed the dish Overall, we enjoyed the taste of the dishes. The only thing I will mark down on, like a half star, that needs improvement on is their service is not consistent and a bit slow throughout the staff because when we needed help, most of the time, they are clustered around the bar so it's hard to get their attention if you don't have a table close by. And it's only the guy that was more responsive and helpful than the female ones, because they will either ignore us or forget to bring over our request.
