    Cookie butter Iced latte

Absolutely delicious and so many different pastry options to choose from. They have weekend specials which include a new variety of cruffin or whatever they dream up in their kitchen that week. During the week they have their usual and reliable sandwiches, pastries, and coffees. I have been 3 different times now on the weekend to try new flavors of the cruffin. We have had tiramisu, pots de crème, strawberry matcha, and a few of their staple pastries, and their breakfast sandwich. I could literally spend every weekend here. It's a cute spot, great location on Central, quick and kind staff, and the best food AND coffee.. my dream come true!! It's not overly busy on a normal weekend, but special occasions will have a line out the door. Everything here is worth it though!

I discovered this spot on TikTok and knew I had to check it out during my trip to Phoenix, and it definitely lived up to the hype! My aunt, who lives nearby, was surprised to find such a gem so close to her. We sampled several dishes, starting with the Croque Monsieur, which was incredibly large and delicious, with a wonderfully creamy béchamel sauce. The pain au chocolat was delightfully flaky--one could easily devour three! We also grabbed a box of macarons, which were delightful. And I must say, the latte was the best I've had in a long time.

I had been wanting to try JL Patisserie ever since it showed up on my TikTok feed. We finally got the chance to stop by this past weekend, and it did not disappoint! The pastries were delicious and the coffee was delectable. Unfortunately, we stopped by about an hour before they closed, so our options were limited, but I still enjoyed it all! I'd bet it'd be even better to stop by early in the morning while all the baked goods are still fresh, so I'm going to make it a point to do that.

I had visited the Scottsdale location a few years ago and had not been back. I saw this cruffin on TikTok and knew I needed to try it since it was limited time. There's plenty of parking at this location and it wasn't super busy yet. Employees were very friendly and efficient. In addition to the strawberry black sesame cruffin we also grabbed a few macarons and a pistachio croissant. Prices are on par with other bakeries. The macarons were for my kids and they wished the flavors were stronger. They tasted very similar. The pastries were fluffy and flavorful. I'll definitely stop in again to checkout their current specials.

Even at peak Sunday brunch, the line moves steadily. The place gets mobbed, but with plenty of outdoor seating it's usually not hard to find a spot. Seating is first come, first served, and tables aren't wiped down between customers, but it's easy to handle yourself--complimentary napkins are provided and they're surprisingly soft and high quality. The pastries are top notch. The lamb za'atar cheese Danish is perfection--an unapologetic energy (calorie) bomb, like most things on the menu--and the pistachio chocolate croissant is a genuinely surprising delight. The cappuccino is solid and, if you're staying, served in real mugs. Despite the occasional chaos, the staff stays super friendly and completely on top of things, which makes a big difference..

I am very impressed came here after my flight and they had plenty of options for pastries. It was semi/busy everyone was purchasing pastries and I could see why after trying the cinnamon bun. It was so delicious and soft after being warmed up. There's tables inside and outside. You can seat yourself after ordering. The white chocolate strawberry matcha with oat milk was tasty and a great combination I've never had before.

Sweet and Savory and Spicy, oh my! After an early morning haircut at Playhaus Salon in the Pierson Place Historic District shopping area located at 4700 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ, I walked a few doors down to James Beard semi finalist and Best of Phoenix award winner @ilpatisserieaz run by Jenna Leurquin, baker and chef trained in Paris, to enjoy some delicious pastries and a yummy oat Matcha Latte. The Pear Frangipane Tartlet I took to-go and shared with Hubs tasted so authentic and delicious with the buttery sweet shortcrust pastry holding sliced poached pears on a bed of almond cream cake. I admit I ate most of it. I dined in on this amazing collaboration one-of-a-kind croissant with @chilte_phx - Cacao Salsa Macha Croissant, a Cacao dough croissant rolled with asadero cheese, Cacao salsa macha, & slow braised pork, with Cacao Salsa Macha to eat Chef LT's way @chefltsmith - A Fiery Must-Try!

Made the drive on a Saturday morning since I am in the west valley. I got 4 things and a cold brew. Walked in it was busy in there and was cute. For in line and was like ahhh what do I want. lol. I had an older gentleman behind me who said the almond croissant was super good so I got one of those. I got a plain croissant. I got a strawberry rhubarb and cream stuffed cruffin, then morning something very similar to a cruffin but nothing on the inside. For my coffee I got the discord cookie butter cold brew. That was delicious. I did add my own sweetener to it. Bit so good. Ate everything when I got home and OMG SO GOOD

10/10, the flavor and layering are absolutely delicious. They do not skimp out on the filling. It is expensive for a pastry, however, it is stuffed to the max with filling and it's so good. You can tell there was a lot of attention to the flavors and detail. Serviced was nice, they have a little water station which is nice. However, I do wish they had a bathroom. They do close early. The parking lot is shared with other shops and a cafe across the lot so I can see it getting packed if it's busy on a weekend. Cute little place! I saw some people doing office work inside so maybe they have free wifi, I'm not too sure.

A cozy patisserie that serves a wide variety of pastries, breads, and savory sandwiches. I tried the ham and cheese croissant (served warm) and a variety of macarons. The croissant was flaky and delicious! The macarons had a nice crisp crunch exterior and gooey, rich interior. It was crowded on a Saturday morning and the line was a bit long, but worth the wait and was 20 minutes max from waiting in line to receiving our order. There's a handful of tables outside so go when the weather is nice and have a slow morning!

Croissants so good. Get the pistachio chocolate

Finally found my way to Jl patisserie. Well deserved review. Butter croissant. Crispy on the outside. Soft in the middle. Buttery but not too much butter. I haven't had a good croissant like this in a long time Pistachio chocolate croissant. I originally didn't want to get it because of the chocolate but this was done so well. Pistachio cream excellent quality. Chocolate was just enough. Not overdone. Pastries here are legit. Definitely worth coming here

Arrived to place an order Friday morning. Walked right in and there was a line of about six people ahead of me. The line moved pretty quickly and I was ordering in about five minutes. The person taking my order was kind and to the point. I didn't see a restroom inside the cafe itself. There were plenty of tables and chairs to sit at both inside and outside of the shop. As the doors are constantly being opened, it was very hot inside of the store. I picked up a ham & cheese croissant, a pistachio croissant, and a maple latte. They had my parties out pretty quickly but the drink took a while and the barista didn't have a very good attitude. The flavor of the croissants was buttery and delicious. However, the ham inside the ham & cheese was all on one side! There is a small parking lot located in front.

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Thursday. Parking tends to be busy in their complimentary lot, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is connected to The Sicilian Butcher. It's a small bakery, with only a few seats. More of a grab-and-go type of spot or the source of your dessert if you're dining at the restaurant. While small, the decor and ambiance is nice. Service (3/5): A little bit of bad luck, but on my most recent visit, they were having trouble with their refrigeration so no gelato was available. While interacting with the staff, it was an average experience. I will say that the service was much better in the restaurant. Drinks (N/A): I only got dessert, but they do have coffee and a few other beverages available. Food (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is known for its cannolis, tiramisu, gelato, and lobster claws (dessert, not real lobster haha). On my most recent visit, I had a cannoli. They have your classic cannoli but also a nice variety of other fillings including pistachio, Reese's, and more. A+ for creativity, though I decided to stick with the classic. Solid. In fact, all of the desserts I've had here over the years have been quite good.

Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there.
