Understanding he is an independent contractor, he was also unprofessional bringing his gifriend to his job site, but then he stopped showing up and communicating all together. When he would show up he was good but unpredictable, lack of communication and did not finish 1 thing he started, it was always a different excuse. Today is 3/21/24 and the last response I have from him is 3/8/24. He started at the beginning of February. I do understand that people get sick but I have only asked to be communicated with. This is how he left everything on my property. Not 1 project finished to date and he started. He had excuse after excuse and he even had his girlfriend text me to tell me how sick he was. Dude it is a text, you could have texted me yourself. This is your business not Chelsea's, but because you brought her into the mix I have also texted her twice to check on you and to see if she could have you reach out to me. Sad as you are a grown adult and this is your business. Last I knew Johnathan stated he was waiting to hear back from 3 vendors to get the vinyl siding but then crickets. DO NOT USE J&J Carpentry and Handyman Services or Johnathan Williams unless you want to be out money and have nothing done! Sad part was he wanted good reviews so I was certain he would work hard to get them. He was also telling me how everyone screws him over. Well that was not me until now, because of his actions and lack of communication to finish the job he started. And if he would like to make good on his work and show up to finish, I will be happy to remove this review or any other platform review I post of this situation. Also nice to know that on Facebook people were asking for recommendations and Johnathan responded to them as of March 13th but cannot text me back because he it too sick!

We stumbled upon Blaine Construction through a google search and excellent reviews and I am so glad we did. I contacted them and scheduled a day for them to come out to assess the damage, discuss the rebuild and most importantly help with the insurance claim. David and Jesse came out the same week and were extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the entire process. They showed me pictures, explained next steps and brought ideas that I wasn't even thinking of. Within a few days they began the process of ordering kitchen counters, the countertop and flooring. They provided me with samples and floor plan ideas. Jim, Jesse and David were great at communicating every step of the way and answered questions with care and patience. It's extremely difficult to find contractors who truly care about the work they do and are honest, caring people. The quality of the product match the quality of the workmanship. I look forward to working with this team in the future as their knowledge is much broader than countertops and kitchen cabinets. I can not recommend this company enough.

Flooring , painting, bathrooms, installing ceiling fans., trim installation of sliding glass door and more. He sent people to work and after they had worked all day at another job and were just too tired to continue working and would leave. The work is still not complete. The only thing that was actually completed without complaint was the metal roof and he was the sub contractor for that job. That was the only reason I hired him for the rest of the jobs. Never again he talks a good talk but be warned. V.A. Williams Ludowici, Ga

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Wesley, bathe owner/boss is very…read morepresentable and talks a good game but conducts business in an erratic way. He was recommended to me when I inquired about building a handicap ramp into my mobile home. Wesley came out and we discussed what I wanted. He even suggested that I cover the larger ramp out front which I agreed to. I eventually decided to add a carport joining said ramp as well as remove my bathtub and install a shower in the master bathroom. It was agreed upon that I would buy all the materials and pay him for his labor. That was the first problem. Wesley underestimated how much materials were needed causing me to make multiple trips to Lowe's and a couple of HUNDRED MORE DOLLARS added to the costs of my jobs. His two employees never showed up at 9:00 am, it was always closer to noon, they would leave and come back well after 5:00 pm because Wesley kept bidding other jobs knowing that he didn't have the man power to get them all done in any sort of timely manner. They, I mean, the ONE guy, would work in a rushed pace until past 9:00 pm, then have to go work on another job. There was little to no communication between Wesley and me, the homeowner. After delay after delay and excuse after excuse, finally my shower was installed but it lacked the trim His employee told me that Saturday NIGHT, that he would return the next day at 1:00 pm after we were home from church to put the trim up and then I could take a shower. No show, no phone call, no apology, no nothing. Finally I called Wesley on Tuesday evening and he said another one of his employees would come out the next day and put the trim up. (I had paid him on Friday)The trim got out up and finally the garbage/debris was removed But when I went to check the shower out before my long -awaited first shower, I noticed that the DOORS were flopping about and not sitting in the track property. I sent a video to Wesley and as of today, June 22, 2024, I haven't heard or seen him. So, takeaway from this: unreliable, understimates materials, has very few employees, doesn't communicate with home owner, has unconventional work hours, talks a good game but doesn't deliver. Doesn't apologize until you call him out on it. I should have listened to my instincts and followed my own advice: 1. Always get three quotes 2. Check references, 3. Read reviews and if you don't see any, or they are only on Facebook, beware, 4. Ask if they are licensed & bonded and actually see that they are, don't just accept their word. 5. Make sure that you have a contract that spells out everything in writing and that BOTH of you are on the same page. 6. ALWAYS get and keep RECEIPTS! 7. Take pictures from start to finish 8. Leave a review whether it is good or bad so that others can make an informed decision before hiring the company that you did. And this final one is very important: DO NOT PAY ALL THE MONEY UNTIL THE JOB IS FINISHED AND YOU ADDRESS ANY CONCERNS with the work.(I should have tested the shower before I paid him.
