Had an ancient pocket door jump off its track - a tricky repair that often requires cutting into the adjacent wall and retrofitting a brand new roller track - not an easy job. Jack and crew gave me a very reasonable quote, showed up exactly on time fully prepared to do all that surgery. However, they first carefully opened up the door frame just enough to remove the door, look inside the pocket and fortunately were able to retrieve the loose door roller. Jack is incredible! A couple of days ago my closet shelf decided to rip itself out of my wall and dump all of my shoes and clothes all over the floor and within minutes Jack responded to my consultation request. He was able to make it out to me the very next day to put everything back on the wall and even patched up the holes where the shelf was previously drilled in. The whole process took him maybe 15-20 minutes. His quote was very affordable and he was very pleasant to work with! We had a pocket door where the rail detached from the top mount. I was very concerned about the repair process because we have fine wood door molding around the frame. Jack and his team were excellent. The brought floor protection as well as dust protection to support the repair. For this job they had to cut into the drywall but Jack knew exactly where to cut and installed the appropriate screws so that the rail would never fail again. The drywall repair was seamless and they used a heat gun to accelerate curing of the joint compound so that they could sand and leave with a finished wall. I recently had a workshop upgrade at my home in Altadena and needed the walls insulated, drywall installed, electrical, lights etc., and I am so thankful that I found JM Handyman Services! Of course I had a laundry list of things to do and was quoted a reasonable price and time frame of only 2 weeks so I agreed to go ahead with the work. Jack and Mike showed up promptly everyday rain or shine making huge accomplishments before I could even turn my coffee maker on. Everything about this job went smoothly as expected with incredible attention to detail. Also, both Jack and his father Mike have great personalities and are really easy going nice guys. In the beginning, everything was nicely prepped and all of the floor covered. Electrical work got knocked out pretty much the first day followed by the insulation. His drywall installers worked through the whole day and got their work done nicely. Raphael, the painter, came out the following day, from early in the morning until almost 8:30 pm at night when it was freezing outside and completed his work very nicely. I needed a steel hose winder reattached to a block wall at the top of my driveway. It had pulled loose after one year of use despite being attached with 4 bolts and lead anchors.
