Ok, I was having this incredibly frustrating issues with my internet, tv, iMac and lights going out! At first, I thought it was my internet service provider but noticed it was my outlet going out. I kept going to the breaker box and trying to turn it off and on to reset it. It help at first to reset it, but the problem kept causing every device plugged into the outlet to turn off. I was going crazy with frustration (The Super Bowl is tomorrow) and NO internet (Noooo way ) absolutely unacceptable!!! Finally, I had enough and had to call a professional. That professional was JESSE to the rescue! Jesse helped me greatly before with installing an electrical extension for my hybrid heat pump several years back (read my review of it). I called Jesse and he picked up and said he could come out after finishing his job in Gilroy. True to his promise, he drove out (Mind you it's a Saturday at 3:45pm when I called him) to my home. Within 45 minutes, he quickly checked and diagnosed what the problem was! He's a professional! He identified the bad breaker in my breaker box!!! This has to be one of the ALL time worst experiences I had. Before Covid-19, I used Jesse to fix an electric issue left behind by an incompetent electrician. He was sharp and I was impressed with his skills. Two months ago, I contacted Jesse again to have him set up electrics for a water treatment. He got it done all right, but accidently cut the wire that connects the power to the sunroom. Here comes the horrible part. I called and texted him NUMERIOUS time trying to get him back to fix the issue, but the efforts all failed. There is no response to the calls (cannot leave VM either as the mailbox is full) and texts whatsoever. I contacted another electrician who reconnected the wire in a jiffy but costed me $120. I then sent Jesse an email asking for the reimbursement. To my surprising, he responded, albeit the last time. "No excuse for this to have happened. I will put a check in the mail tomorrow morning. Once again my apologies for that. Thanks, JMG" However, as of today I am still waiting for that elusive check, LOL. To me, this is an integrity issue. He's simply a liar and cannot be trusted. Called for service. A person answered the phone, I explained the things I needed done and the person who answered the phone gave me the next available date and time he would be available. I agreed to this and we set the date/time. Waited on the agreed upon date/time and the person never showed up or called to say why he couldn't/wouldn't show up. With numerous 5-Star reviews, I'm surprised at the 'non'-service received in our experience. Called JMG and spoke with a nice gentleman who scheduled a 9am Thursday appointment for us. Per request, I then texted JMG our address and left a voicemail with our address for the Thursday appointment. Thursday morning comes and goes. No show, no calls, no cancellations. No one at JMG picked up the phone at 9:20am. If the job is too small, or too inconvenient, let us know. Please do not schedule an appointment and not show up (and not call to cancel). We, like most people, made arrangements to make sure we'd be home for the appointment. A quick text to cancel would have been appreciated. read more

We had a smoke detector that wouldn't stop chirping even after changing the battery and resetting. I called and spoke with Jesse and he helped me over the phone but we still weren't able to get it to stop chirping. He came To our house despite it being a holiday and replaced our smoke detector quickly and affordably. Jesse is the electrician. Jesse told me he'd have the job done by Monday. Never showed up. Didn't call. Then promised to be there Friday and surprise never showed up Tried to use him on future projects and again never showed up on future projects, and didn't bother to call and let me know he wasn't showing up. I had to call from another number and he actually answered. So he was not answering on purpose. Basically if he's not busy he may show up but if he gets a bigger job he won't even answer your call when your wondering where the heck he's at when he tells you he's gonna be there at 8 am. I needed to install a ceiling fan in my kids' bedroom and gave Jesse a call. He called me back very quickly and came out just a couple hours later to install the ceiling fan. All his work was very clean, he's very professional and even provided some advice on the type of fan that I had purchased as it requires the use of a remote control. Jesse came to my house twice. Both experiences were great! In addition to the services we contacted him about, Jesse was very helpful about answering questions about outlets, lighting, and ceiling fans. 1) The first time Jesse did work on our house was when we moved in and wanted recessed lights installed in the ceiling. He provided awesome service and the installation is beautiful. You can't even tell the lights did not come pre-built with the house. 2) We needed some outdoor receptacles fixed and the light in our bathroom had gone out. At first I thought I could tackle these problems, but it was much more than I am technically capable of. It took Jesse about 15 minutes to diagnose the issues and the next day he had the parts to fix everything. All is good now. I didn't go looking for Jesse; he was recommended to me by the HVAC company that was putting in my new central air and heating. I needed to redo all the electrical in my house, since it had very old knob and tube wiring and I couldn't even put insulation in the attic on top of it. As it was, I had already picked out an electrician who I was going with, but the HVAC guys said such great things about Jesse that I had to meet with him. And I'm sure glad I did! Jesse is a very straightforward guy. When you meet with him, he'll tell you all about himself, and his family, and his history, and how he became such an expert in the electrical field. At first you might thing TMI! But in the end, you realize that this is just Jesse trying to make you feel at ease with him, with no pressure to hire him, and he even makes it feel guilt-free if you decide to go with someone else. The real irony here, though, is that Jesse turned out to be waaaay better than the HVAC company I hired. He was able to tell me ahead of time what they were doing wrong -- and how to fix it. In the end, they fixed every problem there was, and I appreciate that in a company, but it really helped to have Jesse there to give me a heads up. Jesse worked on our attic during one of the really hot spells this summer. I dropped by the house during the high heat of the day, expecting the house to be empty because it was way to hot to work, but there was Jesse -- in the attic no less -- working and sweating his butt off. The HVAC guys, it should be noted, were no where to be seen! I didn't want to bother Jesse, so I left and returned around 8:00 p.m. that night to see how things had been progressing. Well slap my a** and call me Judy, but there was Jesse, still in the attic, still sweating, and still working his butt off! He really was/is the hardest working contractor I have ever seen (or likely will ever see!). I was truly impressed with his work ethic and sense of professionalism. But it doesn't stop there. Jesse also has an encyclopedic knowledge of the electrical code, and can virtually quote chapter and verse of it. It was a joy to watch him yucking it up with the Code Inspector for the final inspection, and I could swear that he was finishing the inspector's sentences for him! There were some changes to the code that weren't supposed to go into effect until later in the summer, but the inspector wanted Jesse to implement them now. With no complaint, and with no extra charge, Jesse spent an entire additional day implementing the new code changes onto the work that he had already done. You do NOT get service like that these days, certainly not from a contractor! Is Jesse infallible? Not really. He is human after all. He was not able to finish the job exactly on schedule, excluding the extra day for implementing the new code changes. But even this wasn't really his fault. The HVAC guys had hammered in some nails through three or four different lines in the attic (ugh!), and Jesse had to completely re-run those lines. He could have just spliced them at the cut, but he's way too professional for that. He never even complained about the HVAC guys doing that -- they told me about it (kudos to them for their honesty). Jesse also did a great job of cleaning up after himself every day, which was really great. I did, at one point, blame him for the tremendous amount of drywall dust all over the floors, the walls, the furniture, etc. He explained that he cleaned up after himself every day, but all you had to do was look around at all the dust to wonder if he was crazy. Well, once again the HVAC guys confessed to making the mess. And they even offered to hire a professional cleaning crew to come in and clean it up (which we did!). Once I factored that into the equation, I realized that Jesse was in fact super clean in the limited amount of wall work that he did (i.e., he vacuumed up after every cut into the wall). I try to write fair and balanced reviews to be helpful to people. I realize this review sounds like I'm trying to get a job for a close family member. But I'm not. Well, if I had to say there was a drawback to hiring Jesse, I guess it would be that he is a small company (just himself) and for larger jobs it will take a little longer. But his prices are definitely lower than the big companies, so it all washes out in the end. Oops. That turned into a plus. Well, all I can do is recommend that you meet Jesse, let him tell you his story and give you an estimate, and then you can make up your own mind about what I'm saying. But I do highly recommend Jesse for any and all electrical work that you might have to do. read more

Wow, Jesse is awesome! He has been working with us on our home we have in Gilroy for over a month now, he wired up new electrical on everything ( home is old so everything had to be replaced pretty much), but he's gone ABOVE and BEYOND what we asked and what we had hoped he would do. He is very knowledgeable about other contractors in the area, and really knows his stuff as a licensed electrician. He installed new lights and fans in our bathrooms, 4 rooms and downstairs, in the kitchen, dining, living room and front areas. He also did the outside lights, and laundry room...and much much more. We are very grateful to have found Jesse! It is rare to find someone that is very honest and does quality work, without overcharging. When we had an issue with one of the people we were working with, Jesse stepped in to help us ( when he didn't have to) and it is easy to see he is just an all around great person. He puts in his own time and money to ensure his work is quality and even helped out the people who didn't do their work to his standards. He sets his bar high, and if others fail to meet it then he will do it what it takes to make sure that everything is done correctly. On a side note, he is dependable and reasonably priced. Jesse was awesome! Called him on Tuesday and he came out this morning (Friday) - looked at what I needed done...went out got the stuff and did all the work right away! He moved a ceiling fan from one room to another, installed a new fan and put all new fan switches in 4 bedrooms including adding a handheld remote to our fan in the master bedroom. Jesee installed a fan and 2 can lights in our bathroom. We asked if he could install a timer switch for the fan. He agreed but said that he had to order the part and that it would be in later in the week. He asked us to call him when we were available. We did just that and he said he would come. Well, he never did. We called him and he apologized that he got stuck at another job so we set up another time that he could finish the switch. Well, he never came. This happened another 2 times. Jesse installed 6 LED canned lights, and 4 bathroom exhaust fan/light fixtures (also LED) this visit. This was the second job he has done in our house in recent months, and we called him back because he did such a great job the first time, taking down 2 uselessly placed bedroom ceiling fans and replacing it with one properly sized and placed fan which we love. Jesse is great to work with and talked us through everything from figuring out what we actually needed to the work itself including all setup and clean up. We are extremely happy with everything we bought and our living space is greatly enhanced. We do not make home modificaitons very often or very impulsively whatsoever, so we were unsure in each case of exactly what we needed and how to aquire it cost effectively. Jesse was able to advise, suggest where we needed input, and work with all of our questions and concerns. We spent our money wisely and have enhancements to our lighting and cooling that will benefit our home for years to come. Jesse did work with a helper for this visit, Robert. Robert was most polite, cordial and efficient. Likewise a sheet rock gentleman was also needed (same person, Juan, both times). He came in at the end and make quick work of his job. He not only did the work quickly and efficiently but thoroughly cleaned up afterwards, and also was quite pleasant to have around. We are having a major overhaul done on our bathrooms and, as these things go, some unexpected things came up where we needed an electrician ASAP in order to pass inspection and patch our drywall. I called and was told he could be out to my home by noon. He showed up early, finished quickly, worked cleanly, and charged a very fair price. We discovered a serious problem that needed attention on a Sunday. The PG&E guy who came at 1:00 am was baffled and had us shut off the power. I left messages for several highly Yelp rated electricians, and Jesse was the only one to respond. He got here in about 30 minutes, and very professionally and methodically found the cause (an abandoned wire that was still energized and contacting a metal hardy frame). It was a serious fire hazard, and needed immediate attention. The price he charged was more than fair - and we have him scheduled to come do more work. 5 is the highest Yelp rating, but I'd give hime a 10 if I could. read more

Jesse is my go to guy for electrical work. I honestly can't remember how I found him. I think Yelp, but he has installed a ceiling fan in my family room and wired a new outlet in my upstairs hallway one time and then I called him again to install two outlets on my porch. Both times he returned my call within the same day and actually came to check out the jobs the same day on his way to another job. Both jobs were completed in a timely manner and very professionally.
