We booked the all day package and it was worth every penny. For our package we opted to do an engagement shoot, and oh my goodness.. seriously we were blown away with the experience, it only made us more excited for our wedding day. The engagement pictures were breathtaking.. seriously Jared has an eye like no other and his creativity is one of a kind. The wedding photos were no different, they came out beautiful, just going through the pictures you can feel all the emotions and the story of our love was clearly portrayed through the photos. There just aren't enough words to possibly describe how amazing our photos are. Jared is phenomenal at his craft. Jared  is super personable, we received so many compliments from our family and friends. He made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience.   I had admired Jared's work on Social Media for a while so when we first started planning our wedding we knew we wanted Jared to be our photographer. If I could give Jared 10 stars I would. I wanted this photographer the minute I saw his website and when I showed my husband (fiance at the time) he was 100% on board. Since we moved to another state for work most of the meetings were virtual (even pre covid) so that was extremely helpful. Super professional and well organized. His emails to prepare for the big day were super helpful. When the venue we picked canceled 7 weeks to our wedding, we found another one. We were super bummed, but Jared fixed that when he told us their were tons of areas for beautiful pictures. On the day of Jared was amazing he was always on the move. Not only was he advising and taking pictures, but he also was reassuring and helped me when I was overwhelmed trying to put my dang lashes on. (used lashes many times, but this day it wasn't working). We loved his creativity and his drive. You can tell he loves photography and weddings. For the sunset pictures I was eaten alive by mosquitos, but I know the pictures are going to be worth it. We got a teasers of our photos we are so happy already. Planning a wedding is full of many major decisions (as I'm sure you know if you're reading this review) and one of the biggest that my wife and I had to consider was the photographer. Transportation, food, alcohol, flowers, decorations, etc. are all things that you can't take with you after the big day - but the photos are a different story all together. So keeping that in mind, we did a TON of research on photographers. We decided on Jared for a few reasons and it was literally the best vendor decision we made throughout the entire process. From our first consultation meeting we could not only immediately sense Jared's desire for personal connection with his clients but his professionalism was off the charts. It was one of the biggest reasons we choose Jared. While every photographer we met with was looking to be friendly and capture what we were looking for, Jared came with the professionalism and detail that gave us the confidence right from the beginning that we wouldn't be disappointed in the final products he was going to produce. We went with the package that included all day coverage with two photographers and an engagement session. We found this package to not only include more than most other photographers "max packages" but it was also extremely competitive from a pricing perspective. Now my wife and I had already been engaged for 2+ years at this point so we weren't wild about the idea of an engagement session - but Jared pitched us an idea that we had never heard before. He proposed that we do our first look a week before so that it could be intimate, not interfere with timing on the big day, and oh yea, on top of a MOUNTAIN! Jared had done an extreme amount of research prior to our "first look" casing every mile of the Rocky Mountain Tundra to find the perfect spot for the big moment. He was not only able to capture this amazing moment but also make two people who had never taken professional photos before feel like professional models. The creative instruction, light-hearted attitude, and genuine care throughout our entire first look experience was something like we never anticipated we'd be able to achieve. The only thing that was more exhausting than the constant smiles throughout this shoot were our stomachs from the belly rolling laughter that ensued from the jokes, enthusiasm, and joy that Jared brought with his craft. If our experience with Jared had ended here, it would have already been well worth the investment. When the big day arrived, Jared and his assistant somehow made it seem like they had a whole army with them as they were able to capture everything from the crack of dawn till the last person loaded the bus at the end of the night. Jared provided expert instruction throughout all of the photo opps during our big day. Between working with demanding family members, a distracted bridal party, tricky outdoor/indoor lighting, and oh yea - a stressed out bride and groom, his expertise was the perfect guiding light throughout the entire experience. Not only were we (bride and groom) beyond impressed with Jared and his team but almost EVERY SINGLE guest and family member in attendance made sure to personally tell us how impressive and enjoyable Jared was to have in attendance. We got continuous messages in the week following the wedding telling us how anxious everyone was to see our photos and lucky for them - the turn around time was legendary. While we have several friends who told us horror stories of having to wait MONTHS to see some of their photos from their weddings, Jared had a sample ready within days and the final product ready ahead of the agreed upon time and delivered them to us in a format that allowed us to share them all instantly. It was truly amazing and allowed for everyone at the wedding to download a high quality photo of themselves to enjoy and brag about. This was extremely important because almost every person in attendance actually had a photo taken by Jared! He got 100's of photos of the bride & groom, every "special shot" we had mentioned liking in the weeks leading up to the wedding, AND somehow also managed to capture the true landscape of our big day and everyone in attendance. We could not recommend JMGant Photography any higher. I would recommend Jared and his team to anyone, anywhere, and absolutely suggest going with his plus level package. Our wedding was shot by one of Jared's associate photographers. The photos and the shoot itself did not meet the standards that Jared promoted or that he discussed with us in our prep call. 1) Framing did not meet basic standards at times: in the family & portrait shots, the edges of arms were cut off twice. While exchanging the rings, the top half of the groom's head was cut off. Other top-half-heads were cut off in reception photos. Random people/cars appear at the edges of photos. 2) Lack of direction: we explicitly raised concerns about direction during the prep call and were assured we would be directed (and most reviews praise this aspect of his work). The photographer gave zero instruction to guests for family portraits, no direction regarding arrangement of family, how to place arms, flowers, (and was unaware of how the shots were developing, see #1). No wardrobe issues were mentioned or corrected. Overall, there was a lack of creativity -- very unlike the photos Jared posts online. The result is a large number of awkward pics. 3) Sometimes poor lighting control: the photographer did not demonstrate awareness of lighting conditions during portraits and we as b/g had to request location changes ourselves. Pics have either b or g lit while other is in shadow, and other unusual lighting issues. 4) Underlying issue seemed to be lack of control & direction, despite the photographer having 4 years of experience with JMGant. Ex: Reception has one photo of table setting with tableware straight, in the next photo, tableware is crossed. 5) Note that the post-processing often results in fairly crepey skin and a darkening of spots on the skin. Jared edited the 2 photos I requested for this issue. IN SUM: Aside from issues above, things were at least "average" -- photographer was on time, good number of photos, good color contrast (best aspect), good focus. Adjectives used to describe JM Gant on this and other sites, "creative", "great eye", "storytelling", "knowledgeable", "expert instruction" were _not at all_ relevant to our shoot. Our shoot and the photos do not approach a 5-star experience, and Jared's personal assurances about quality were neither present during the shoot, nor did he express any concerns about quality (such as chopping off arms), which I would anticipate from a professional who was devoted to ensuring a superior product. read more

Jared really is the best ever! We got to do engagement photos and our wedding photos with him and could not be happier with the product and experience. We are very picky when it comes to photographs and photography and every single one of Jared's photos amazed us and surpassed expectations. He has an incredible technical ability, as well as eye for the perfect photo. Everyone that has seen any photo of ours from him has stated how incredible the color, focus, angle, and overall picture is. I cannot say enough positive things about Jared and the pictures he produces! He really does aim to express art through every picture he takes. Jared of JMGant Photograhy was SUCH a great guy to work with on the day of the wedding and each day leading up to the wedding! Photography skills aside he's just a genuine and kind person always offering to communicate as much as he can and provide insight and advice on photography shots and ideas that you have for your big day.
