I mentioned the block lines whilst in the chair and was told it would blend and I paid over £90 and it wasn't even styled. I went home and cried phoned the salon back and was told as the stylist was self employed I would probably have to pay to get it fixed so I went else where as I had lost all confidence in the 'senior stylist'. I got a part refund. I will attach the photos of how I was left after leaving the salon. I can not fault the director and the manager Jess is lovely. Just very disappointed With my experience.

This is a hairdressing studio that truly cares and your hair really will be Fabulous when you leave! Run by Rachel, it's a great little find, hidden in the Static Gallery building, full of bright colours and personality; pink and green drapes (following the watermelon theme here) and bare brick walls give this gem of a studio little personal touches which make you feel at home instantly. It's really cheap for the service you get (I paid £25 for a full re-style) and so relaxed and fun that I can't imagine going anywhere else now. She knows what I want, is awesome at offering advice on styles that will suit me and does a fantastic job. With all the character and friendliness that you just won't find in a chain, if you're in search for a new personal hairdresser, this place is definitely a must.

My regular visits to Watermelon Studio with the absolutely professionalism and creativity of Rachel means that I have never been happier with my hair. What I love about Rachel is her honesty and ability to listen to what the client wants and needs. I went on a photo shoot a couple of weeks after having my hair coloured here and the photographers adored my hair. The colourists are excellent, I've been having my hair professionally coloured for 12years and it has never been as long-lasting, vibrant and healthy looking as now. The cut is superb, creative but not bonkers. These guys actually cut my past shoulder length hair into a short bob, and even hubby (a lover of long hair and bob nay-sayer) loves it and doesn't want me to grow it back 'nuff said? The decor is rather lovely, it's a period building with period features here and there to keep your eye occupied whilst having your hair washed, and the coffees tasty. Not cheap, but it is very good.

But I was recommended by a friend so decided nervously to let them style my hair. I was impressed by the results. I am not that risky to let an unknown hairdressers cut my hair but as stylists they are great. I love it when my hair is curly as it is long and i just feel great when it is all wavy. So I went in and said make my hair beautiful please for my night out and to be honest, it did not take long at all. This was mid-afternoon and twelve hours later; a very drunk and stammering Rachel was still flaunting her curly hair. Great Results! Thanks Guys
