I ordered a double cafe (€1 each) at the bar and the bartender lady working there spoke very broken English but yet was still so very friendly and tried making conversation with us. We had one round of cafe, left to get our clothes and came right back in again for another round because we enjoy being in an establishment where we feel welcomed and because the price was soooo cheap compared to the places we've been around Paris so far! You can get a glass of red wine for €2,50 or a pint of beer for €3. It's super divey, perfect for a backpack traveler!!!

The bar lineup is premium, well considered and quite superior. I had a first rate eau de vie ... Etter Vieux Prune. This is literally the prune-iest beverage you will ever drink in your life. Most eau de vies are astringent and put up a fight. This is warm comforting and mellow. Your doctor tells you to get more prunes? This is DEFINITELY the way you want to do it! Online it shows the restaurant is open until 24:00. Luckily, the restaurant down the street is open until 02:00!
