I was super excited to work with with Shawna. This was going to be a belated 30th birthday present…read morefor myself and it was important that this happen before I turned 31. I loved the work I had seen and my communication with Shawna was wonderful leading up to the day. I had put down the deposit, paid a couple hundred for lingerie and more to get my hair coloured, everything waxed and nails done. I then get a very short email starting that due to a pet emergency my shoot had to postponed. I empathized, pets are like family, but also asked what could be done because I had already spend the money to prep for this shoot that I would either have to spend all over again (which I couldn't afford) or was all a waste. I asked if she had a referral and said stressed that I understood the importance in taking this time for healing. My next response was to be told that referrals were never given since she was "the best in the business " and was also told her dog had died. She did send my money back which I used to find someone else thankfully just in time. A couple days later I got another email saying she had some opening that she was holding for me and that apparently dead dog (hadn't died?) was alive after a 6k vet bill....information that I definitely didn't need and definitely didn't make me want to trust her with such a personal experience. I'm glad her dog made it and while I can understand that perhaps the responses I got where due to an overwhelmed and stressed dog momma...this was no way to conduct business that is such a raw and personal experience for people.

She's flexible so can come to whenever you are, and was early with a huge box of props which was fun! We are so incredibly pleased with her work and love every shot she took. Will be hard to determine which ones to frame! Give her a try for a great photo shoot and you'll miss her when she leaves.
