I asked her to give me a price estimate of how much a final tax return (closing return) for a company that is now out of business due to COVID would cost. After getting a quote of $1,700 to do a final tax return, I was shocked. After I told her that it was totally unacceptable, she said that she needed like 12 hours with $100 or $90 per hour, I don't exactly remember, to "set up" the company on her system or some BS like that. The company is dead, out of business, why do you need to charge a horrible amount for set up? This is predatory, and I would say extremely predatory. She also recently moved from "poor" Boulder Creek to Capitola. I bet to look for wealthy clients in a new wealthy area. Terrible experience.
