    Coffee cup!
    Alan P.

It's a nice mom and pop type diner, lots of seating options. Food is great and the prices are too! Friendly service and nice menu variety. They do tend to close around 2:30 so think of it as more of a breakfast and lunch place. I like to support local businesses like this and highly recommend it.

We've had Joe's saved on our list to do....for a while. The day finally came and we dropped by last Saturday morning around 9:30. I just knew there would be a long wait. Nope! Walked right in and greeted by some of the friendliest wait staff I've ever met. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a simple place, nothing fufu or fake. That's what was hoping for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress reminded me of my grandmother. Sweet, friendly and just a little bit sassy. In a good way. What I loved about Joe's is it's not too complicated to figure out. Just good ole basic home cooked breakfast. So that's what we ordered. I got a combo with two fried eggs, sausage, ham, bacon and pancakes. I even asked for some blueberries to put on the side. My wife got the smaller size but with French toast. They made sure our coffee was hot and full and checked back on us often. Loved that! For $15 that was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Cooked to order and everything tasted great. Even the sausage was really tasty and cooked well. The pancakes were hot and fluffy. The service is what pushed them over from 4 to the 5th !

    California omelette

this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I stopped by this place after coming back from the dfw airport, and was craving breakfast. Its a simple diner with the typical choices for breakfast items. I ended up getting a cup of coffee and the california omelette. The california omelette came with avocado on top with chicken inside. it was really light and wasn't as heavy as some other breakfast items. It also came with your choice of grits, or hashbrown. I opted for the grits. Also, you could get biscuit or toast, and i went with toast. The omelette was about 13 bucks, and i felt like it was kinda expensive for what i got. The omelette wasn't too filling, but i suppose if you eat all the grits and toast, you'd be full. The service was really great. they kept coming by to check in and refill my coffee cup. And the food came to me promptly. There's ample parking in the back. PS: some tables contain advertisements as shown in my photo. I won't how much they charge for companies to place ads onto the tables. lol

The staff are always very friendly and the food is great! Great for the family!

The food is great and so is the service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We take our two sons here and it is very family friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A great local spot!!

    Bacon & Egg Sandwich

Average diner with small portions (perfect for me, but not for bigger eaters or men!) Hubby ordered their bacon & egg sandwich and you can see in the pic how cute & small it is. Service was also average, nothing too friendly or rude. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an average-sized diner and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They charge 3% "service fee" for credit card users which really irks me as a consumer. These fees are business expenses and I never like it when businesses pass their fees onto their customers. (Just my opinion!) I ordered their Big Bird with eggs over medium (they were runny, so not properly cooked), hashbrowns were tasteless (had to add S&P), and pancakes were average but you can tell they aren't made from scratch.

Best cut of liver that I have had in quite some time. Being so easy to overcook, I have become accustomed to tough liver & onions but this was cooked to perfection. Service was prompt & courteous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room was clean and calm, despite a full house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This diner has managed to retain the small town charm of my favorite diners as a kid.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will certainly be returning.

Wheat toast w/my cream of wheat
    Mandie Z.

We came here & was seated immediately. They asked us for our drinks (coffee) & it was ok. I ordered the cream of wheat w/all the trimmings. It reminded me of when my grandma would make it for me. Javier ordered the triple threat omelette. He said it was delicious (I wouldn't try it do the eggs). It is all open & very loud inside, but it is a family restaurant. They have a huge parking lot so no problem parking. Go try it!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Same great place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu looks newer, but still has our favorites on it! Great American breakfast diner, free coffee refills, and good portions!

In house fresh salsa and Joes Hot Sauce
    Kelley K.

First time at Joe's Coffee Shop and it earned its namesake. Staff is SO friendly, they have created a warm atmosphere that feels special. Breakfast is good, perfectly prepared with real ingredients. The price point is a bit high for the portion size but they bring biscuits so that helps supplement the meal. They also make their own hot sauce (you can buy a bottle for $4) and fresh salsa which was a tasty surprise. I was so smitten with the sweet decor and kind waitress that I invested in the what was sure be amazing pie to enjoy later in the day. Amazing it was not, but it was pretty. Recommend for family friendly gatherings.

Waitress said me and my brother weren't the right demographic......spoke very loudly to the table next to us to make sure we could hear. "I would tell you my last name but I can tell you because the right people aren't here." Do with that information what you will. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was the only brown person there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was bland. God bless YOU waitress. If the food was good I could've maybe tolerated the racism.

    Table top is cool retro!

Even getting there at 545 on a Saturday night, we had a 35 minute wait. The decor inside is super cool. Since they're owned by Babes, you can see a strong resemblance. Our server was outstanding! Quite honestly he was the highlight of our evening. I believe PJ was his name. So helpful, friendly and funny. Unfortunately, that's where the greatness ended. We both ordered the 10 oz ribeye. I had the squash and my wife had a baked potato. Both of our sides were just barely luke warm. Disappointing. The steak tasted good but also "barely" lukewarm warm. Even when it tastes good the temperature of a good steak is paramount to your experience. Not quite sure if we are willing to try again.

I took a few pictures, and took it all in on our way in. Once inside, there is Western/Mexican art along the walls and comfortable cushioned round-back chairs--very comfy. Slow to be greeted but seated right away. Our server, Jared, did a wonderful job in all areas. I had the 10 oz ribeye, salad, and potato wedges. The wife had chicken tenders, salad, and fries. We got it all started with fried baby portobello mushrooms. My steak, cooked medium rare, was perfect size. Our salad was fresh and crispy (a real surprise). The house fries and wedges were really good. The mushrooms were a great start to our meal. They also have Lunch and Dinner Menu Specials that run $15 and under, with several decent options to choose from. We're very pleased with the value, pricing, and menu options at Sweetie Pies.

Most recently we opted for some pancakes . Overall the quantity you get for the price is good but the overall quality is not always consistent. The first time we came my husband had piping hot mashed potatoes while mine were almost cold on one side. The next time we came the fries were no longer home fries but just your regular frozen variety. The time after that, one of the chicken fried steaks was a little gummy at the bottom, probably from an uneven fry. This is not to say everything else is bad, they just seem to have an inconsistent cook. Pancakes are good though. Service is typically okay, just like anywhere it depends on your server. If you happen to be seated in a... non assigned area... you may not get the most attentive service and flagging down a different server will just have to do. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. They also serve pies, giant cookies, and brownies. I do recommend really looking at the pies since the servers don't always know what's in the fridge, so when they say "thats a lemon pie' you may end up with a Buttermilk slice like we did. The brownies are also... not good... so I really don't recommend them. They don't really taste like anything... Overall an okay country kitchen, not overly bad but also not the best. They could use some tweaks and better quality control.
