Let me tell you about Joe's Driving School. I am 27 and just barely got my license. I was so anxious and nervous about driving. I failed 3 times before when I was 21 in a different city. I was so nervous I would never learn to drive. I found Joe's Driving School after researching driving schools near me. I found another one in Glendora that wanted to charge $650+ just for 6 hours of behind the wheel driving practice. Joe's Driving school offered the same but for much less, around $350, and they offered to pick me up and drop me off for each lesson, which I need because I don't drive and other driving schools don't offer that. When I contacted Joe's Driving School, Joe immediately understood my concerns. He was sympathetic to the fact that I needed my driver test ASAP because my permit expired on July 5. He squeezes me in for three spots in June with Paola. Paola is amazing!! She can teach ANYONE how to drive. I was so anxious and nervous, I was ready to give up on driving. But after just 6 hours with Paola, she really changed my life around. On the second lesson she took me on the freeway. I was so shocked she trusted ME on the freeway and I hadn't driven a car in like 5 years. She is super patient, kind, and supportive. She really made me gain so much confidence to drive and drive well. I passed on the first try! With Paola and Joe, I now have my license after 9 years of practicing, not really taking driving seriously, and not having anyone to help me. Thank you so much Paola and Joe!! Terrible. Barely taught anything. Just criticized my daughter & made her drive to basically do errands. Also very condescending. Made my daughter dread her lessons & hate driving. Paola was talking on her phone during lessons multiple times, not paying attention. She came without gas once so she made my daughter drive to the gas station to get gas during her lesson, wasting her time. She even made my daughter get out of the car to pump the gas while Paola sat in the car on her phone. She also made her stop to get coffee & groceries once while my daughter sat in the car waiting. She treated my daughter like her own personal driver, but yelled at her if she made any mistakes. Absolutely terrible. Do not support. Go anywhere else. read more

$300 to drive in a straight line down route 66 while being asked "is there something wrong with you that you didnt tell me about?" anytime i would make a mistake on my driving LESSON. In my three lessons I did exactly one U-turn, and parked twice. Once it was clear that I had a grasp on the basics of driving he stopped TEACHING and just sat back and texted on his phone, occasionally making me pull over so he could make a phone call. When i asked if he thought id be ready to take the test and pass, he told me i should probably pay for more lessons, after spending the last 3 dicking around on his phone and making fun of my rough stops and turns. I had many friends use this driving school, and they all gave me glowing reviews. I will not be asking their opinions next time i need help with something. read more

After rushing through the "behind the wheel" lessons with another company, my son failed his test twice. He was EXTREMELY anxious and really didn't even want to keep trying. My daughter dreaded every lesson and did not learn everything she needed to learn. Part of the actual driving test is to reverse next to a curb, which she never even went over with her. Several stops at gas stations and Starbucks for "bathroom breaks", and unprofessional conversation. Appointments were hard to get because Paola was either booked or was moving and couldn't work. Total waste of my money for now I have to take her somewhere else to be better prepared for her test. read more

Please do not take your kids here to learn to drive. Please. It's a terrible business. Not run like a normal business that cares and is organized. It's a mess. Not professional and not helpful. Both Joe and Paola should not be working with young adults. Or running a business. I've sent 2 teens here and learned how the lesson time is used for personal errands for the instructor including gas stops, fast food and shopping and bathroom breaks! While charming the parents, the teen student is verbally abused in that car. So example is a 2 hour lesson is 15 mins of instructor on phone , driving to the errand of choice , instructor leaving car for 20 minutes to run errands, driving a bit more and being rude to student, maybe stop #2 or gas or another phone call. There's been other students in the car for my child's private lesson also. The instructor is constantly on her cel phone , constantly! Even yelling and having private family discussions. Every lesson with my kids was the same bullshit. I am so sad that we invested so much time and money and had to teach our kids ourselves after this horrible experience. Both my teens would come home upset and confused. Rude demands and improper teaching. The car wasn't completely safe either, there were issues. Please protect your new drivers and go somewhere else. These people came recommended and then I started hearing around Glendora High how terrible and similar each lesson experience was after we paid and saw it ourselves!!! Before I used to lack motivation but once I came across Joes driving school, Joe talked to me and created a schedule for me to practice driving and I also got to meet Paola, another driving instructor. The instruction was not the problem it was the scheduling. They act like the have room but they are always booked. Good luck trying to get your sessions scheduled. They really like to stretch them out. When you call asking about them they act like you are bothering them. Too expensive for what they offer. read more

I have ZERO complaints about Joe's Driving School! I called a few in the area and not only was Joe's Driving School the most affordable they were friendly, prompt, professional and picked up my son from our home! Joe was the instructor; in my sons words he was cool, assertive and patient. He worked with him a couple weeks before his behind the wheel test giving him a practice test along with what he needed to work on specifically. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this driving school has earned it. The second I got in the car and turned it on, the tank was on empty, again! Paula made me drive from San Dimas to Glendora to go get HALF a tank of gas. Didn't learn a thing on the way to the gas station because she was busy talking about how much she hates hot weather. After getting half a tank of gas, she told me that she would not verbally instruct me because that's what the examiner will do to me on test day. Mind you, this is only my second day of lessons. I clearly still need guidance! I drove for 2 hrs and it's a miracle I didn't end up in an accident. My head was spinning because she made me look at every single lane a car could possibly come out of. Remember, she wasn't talking to me. So if I didn't look at the entrance to an apartment building's security gate, she aggressively tapped on the window like I should know to do that. I am all for safety, but that behavior was unnecessary because there was obviously no one there. By the way, IM A NEW DRIVER. Sorry I can't look everywhere at once while going 50 miles an hour. Despite her unrealistic standards, I tried my best. I crossed a green light and looked both ways like she said I should. But then she said, nope! You looked right, left. Not left, right. Give me a break! Paula only made driving more difficult for me. A YouTube video would've done me more good. I came home in tears. read more

Paula and her brother Joe run this busines. She is terrible. She was rude to my daughter. She disregarded safety laws. She was constantly telling her how bad she was. She even had my daughter pull into a gas station and then have my daughter pump the gas while she was on the phone. The time with Paula can definitely be used for her errands. Being with her for two hours is excruciating. The last session my daughter had with her was so unbearable. My daughter was in tears by the time it was over. She had been telling her for the past two hours how she was terrible and would not pass. She was upset for the rest of the rest of the day. Her driving test was the very next day. Her confidence was destroyed. What a cruel thing to do to a child. My daughter passed her test, did a wonderful job....no thanks to Paula. read more

I wish if I can hit zero if I could, this school have traumatized me from driving, the attitude of the driver is very bad plus he is weird, and, he kept scheduling and canceling my driving test without me knowing, resulted in 200 bucks that I had to pay to RMV, all of that, and he kept yelling and treat me as if it's not his fault, very unprofessional driver. read more
