Our party of 4 visited on Valentines Day for brunch and received a very warm welcome. Unfortunately there were no real traditional brunch items offered, it was the standard lunch menu, but we were aware of this when we booked on open table. I don't think there is a bad table in the restaurant, i suppose the views from upstairs are more panoramic. Service was attentive and friendly, our meals came up quickly and all were tasty. It was an excellent holiday dining experience. This spot is conveniently located next to the Shipyard Christmas market and the ice rink. Service and ambiance is good. Menu are standard to other Joey's and no complaints. Their drink menu is quite extensive and this Joey Shipyards location exceeds other Joey locations by serving you a small bubbly while waiting to be seated. It is quite easy to take the seabus from downtown if you want to avoid drinking and driving (minus the parking hassles). Overall, a great place to eat, drink and be merry! read more

We took the Seabus from Downtown Vancouver to Lonsdale Quay to check out the area and ended up here. We didn't plan on eating at JOEY but I'm glad we did! We ordered the Truffle Udon Carbonara and the Oven Roasted Wild Cod. Both were good but if I have to choose between the two, then it would be the wild cod. Poke was straight up a 2/5 for me this time I had it a year ago and I swear it used to be saucier, more meat, and way more flavor. Healthy dish tho! The truffle fries were amazing and the chicken lettuce wrap was bomb too. Our Asian baddie server Cindy was a whole 10/10 She even told us her fav way to eat the lettuce wrap is breaking them all up with rice into a bowl -- thank u girl for dropping the secret sauce Dessert tho... Made the right choice coming to Joey's to have dinner in Vancouver. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with warm smiles by the staff and offered with complimentary drink. It didn't take long until we were seated by Kaitlyn our waitress. She was very nice and made us feel comfortable. Her recommendations were on point. Me and my friend were strooling on the shipyards. Yesterday when an event was happening. It was a gorgeous day.And we stopped by 2 have a drink. The sangria was gorgeous and yummy on a hot day and my friend had the coconut smash cocktail, which was also yum. We got a table right away on the patio. And the servers were amazing, with frequent checkins and fast service. For food, since we weren't very hungry, we just had the ceviche. It was tasty but I feel like they could have reduced the coconuty flavor and increased the spice. They also gave us complimentary bubbly for the one minute we had to wait for the table! read more

I was here recently for a team dinner. We had a group of 17 but they weren't able to accommodate us all at one table so they split us in half. We started the meal with rounds of drinks and a mass load of appetizers. Most items were very tasty but the whipped ricotta with toast was perfection. It was sweet and creamy and perfectly balanced. For dinner I ordered the Ravioli Bianco with steak for $35. It came with raviolis filled with cheese topped with shrimp and adorned with a medium steak. The raviolis were tender and the shrimp added great flavor. The steak was well seasoned and added richness to the dinner. This restaurant was beautiful and located right on the water. Scheduled this weeks in advance after scouring restaurants throughout Vancouver before our cruise. What an awesome experience we had at Joey. We were so well cared for throughout our evening. Walking in the door, we were greeted with menu items. Gyoza was so good, we ordered two plates when we sat down. That one taste was not enough. It wasn't in my plans to order that dish at all but we really enjoyed it. Wish the hot mustard had been more prevalent. What a surprise the crispy mashed potatoes were, served alongside the filet and broccolini we had. Dessert was the perfect match for dinner. The tropical Creme Brûlée Cheesecake was a delight! I'm a huge fan of cheesecake and this was amazing and one I will remember! Never rushed even after the two hour mark! The restaurant was open and airy sitting upstairs near the patio. This is a gorgeous location with a wonderful view of the waters. The second level has a more intimate feel to it. The place is quite big with two stories and a patio. I liked how we were given a glass of bubbles while our table was being prepared. Service was good. The staff was quick to bring over some napkins when my friend knocked my glass of bubbly and it went onto the table and my clothes. I was also given another glass of champers too. We were here to celebrate our birthdays and it was a really nice place to do that. The food was delicious and we left satisfied. I had the steak and ravioli Bianco and it was so good. The steak was grilled a perfect medium rare. The truffle beurre blanc sauce for the ravioli was flavorful and creamy but not too heavy. My friends loved their dishes and the chocolate lava cake too. Such a classic dessert. I will be back to try other dishes. The downside is parking. Paid parking is about $5-6/hour in the building. Best restaurant in Vancouver! Well, at least the best one I ate at during a recent visit north of the border. I found this place randomly and I sure am glad I did. I walked in at an off time with no reservations. There was only a few minute wait which was great. What was even better was being offered champagne while waiting. I was like wow, this is nice and so bougie. It's not everyday i find myself in a restaurant that starts me off with the bubbles. Everything I ordered was delicious! I mean really delicious, like the chefs either really know what they are doing or they are actually using some magical wizard sorcery to make everything so tasty. Service was good and the view out towards the water was nice. I noticed they had a happy hour, but unfortunately I missed it this time. The portions were great, the service was phenomenal, and the ambiance was the seal for us. We sat at their very heated patio and enjoyed the most amazing views of the city lights. The prize was extremely comparable for all that we ate. Below is a list. 1. Hummus- 10 2. Guac and chips- 10, the only way I want my guacamole going forward. 3. Steak. Literally any combination was phenomenal. Do not pass on the smash potatoes side that looks like a rolled taco. I could it them as an entry they were so good. 4. Wonderful server was Kate so friendly. Our party was 3 people and ordered chicken club sandwich and the sour dough was fresh toasted and delicious, French fries hot and fresh, garden salad, steak mini sandwiches with guyere and tender steak on top of crunchy toasted bread, tuna avocado crunch sushi, and for dessert chocolate molten souffle with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and the signature donuts. Joey Shipyards is amazing. While the Aventura location failed miserably, this location is outstanding due to the quality of the food and most notably, the service. Did you know that Shipyards is the Joey test kitchen for North America? The Udon truffle carbonara was a test dish that I tried. It was an Asian Italian fusion dish. The raw egg yolk may be off putting to some but I mixed it into the piping hot noodles immediately.... Something they should suggest or offer to do table side.... It makes the sauce creamier and thicker and may avoid foodborne illness. The dish needs some brightness maybe yuzu ...or something like that. The bacon should be more plentiful and in tiny pieces well cooked so it offers a consistent bite and crunch for texture. The seasoning is perfect. The presentation needs some work also. ...it's a little boring. Overall I think the dish is a keeper. The menu should state that the dish is a test kitchen item so diners are aware in case they don't hear the server. We had a young guest stay with us for a few days last week. As she was from New York, we acted as tour guide as well as host. On Saturday night we decided to go for dinner. I had heard that Joeys would be difficult to get into on a Saturday night and we would probably have to wait quite a while for a table. When we got there, sure enough, there was an hour wait. However, the restaurant was pouring glasses of free Pressecco and handing out hors d'oeuvres. It was almost like a party in the lobby! The staff were so kind to us and our guest and treated us like royalty, coming over to our table and chatting with us about our last adventure. The general manager Jesse, we had the pleasure of meeting at dinner on the pier last summer as they were still building the restaurant. It was great to see him and he had a quick chat with us and made sure everyone was enjoying ourselves. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. With all the attention we were getting, our young 24-year-old guest from New York thought that my wife and I were some kind of celebrity couple or rock stars, LOL. Definitely check it out!
