Came here because of all the hype I saw online and on TikTok and wanted to support my fellow Filipinos. I went around 6:30 PM and the place was already quite packed. They should certainly expand since it's so popular! I really wanted to try the adobo but most items with pork were already sold out :( I ended up getting the chowfun which was such a small portion for a high price. The noodles felt a bit hard and lacked flavor. If you're looking for authentic Filipino food, I'm not confident that this is the place for it since it's "Asian Fusion." Putting this as 3 stars since I'm only judging based off my dish and my boyfriend's dish (crispy pork belly) which was also pretty mid. I would come back again for takeout to try another dish.

Spot was recommended by Zip line tour guides. Grabbed takeout for dinner Garlic Chicken: good tangy flavor with rice and Mac salad highly recommend. 4.5 stars. Kalua Pork: sold out so we opted for.... Krispy pork belly with rice and Mac salad. The pork was crispy however the porked lacked flavor. It did come with liquid like hot dipping sauce but dish was just 2.5 stars.

Garlic chicken plate $22.50 (favorite item)

We came a few times and got: garlic chicken, fish tacos, lumpia, loco moco, garlic shrimp and fried rice. Would probably skip the lumpia and loco moco (great quality but not my favorite flavor) in the future but would come back for the rest. You can feel the quality of all of the dishes but the garlic chicken flavor and texture is the winner. The restaurant feels fast casual ordering up front and then finding your own seat. As a group of 2, we never had trouble finding a seat but might have to wait a bit for a larger group. The restroom is shared restroom of the shopping center outside the restaurant (ask for the code).

Both my husband and I agreed that this was the best meal we've had in Hawaii so far. I had the lemongrass salmon and he had the crispy pork belly. For dessert we had the fried banana lumpia. Food and service were both great!

Tucked away in the corner of a small shopping center sits Joey's Kitchen! After seeing its popularity on TikTok, we decided to check it out. Unfortunately, a lot of the items I was interested in trying were on the breakfast menu, which was kind of a bummer. We ended up settling on the Garlic Chicken & Fried Crispy Pork (Lechon) plate. The garlic chicken was fried to perfection & extremely juicy underneath which was a nice surprise -- however, I felt like the chicken itself didn't really taste like anything without the mayo / unagi sauce topping which I feel like is a bit of a cop out, not really sure if it's premade or if they make it in house, but I think I was hoping that it would be pan fried / baked with a glaze on top or even similar to barbecued chicken. It was still very tasty, but at $22 for a plate, I was unimpressed by it. My partner ordered the Lechon plate -- he personally thought that it was juicy and fatty, dipped in the spicy vinegar and side of tomato was nice to cut the fat. He did however feel that at the price point (also around $22-23), it wouldn't hurt to provide an extra scoop of rice or mac salad. Overall, the meal wasn't bad, but it's not a must go out of your way to try type of place, definitely check it out if you're in Lahaina!

    Large Crispy Pata, $46.50

IMHO My husband was craving Crispy Pata, and we knew just where to order from! From our resort villa, we online ordered a large Crispy Pata, $46, and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes! Our Crispy Pata and a box of rice and dipping sauces were ready and waiting for us! It was delicious; fatty, crunchy, and full of flavor! This Crispy Pata lasted us quite a few meals, which we added to saimin, or rice. If you want great local Filipino/Asian fare, come to Joey's Kitchen in Napili. I am sorry that we missed the opening of their new restaurant, Dang Dang Noodles, by a few days. Next visit!

We came here twice on our Maui trip, mostly out of convenience and the food was good. It's pricey. Yes it is. But, a solid showing. You order at the front and they bring the food to you and you can order drinks separately at the bar. The fish tacos were great. Like really good. 3 meaty tacos with a wonderful slaw. My son got the smashburger which was equally delicious, athough you did have to order $7 fries separately. The fried rice looked good and a huge portion, but sadly when we went for dinner at about 730pm, they were sold out. The poke was solid. The noodle was ok. A little bland imho, but very fresh. The ube cocktail was fun and delicious! Pricey for not the biggest drink, but again, unique and tasty. Overall, a great spot for this area and overall a solid food experience! I come from a land of great Asian eats, so I'm a tough critic.

We have been by this and the Lahaina location do many times but never had the time to try it. My wife really wanted to try their crispy patta so I agreed to go try it. While I adore and often cook a lot of Asian food I'm not such a fan of Filipino food yet around it more than any other food with family. Bad choice. After driving there from Lahaina for lunch, this dish was unavailable?? Even yelpers rave about it! So we ordered the pork belly and wanted chow fun but they only have the chicken variety? So there is a reason why the Asian restaurants we usually dine at make beef chow fun. The chicken version was bland and wanting for something else to complete it! But surely edible and nicely cooked noodles. The pork belly was ok but not slap your momma I'll go back for that good. The Mac salad was awful compared to much more affordable plate lunch places. It was flavorless, overcooked pasta, and a gritty texture! Weirdly the chairs there at the tables are low and you feel like you are at the children's table at Thanksgiving. So much so that us and two other groups including the ones that moved after ordering to our vacated table moved from the regular tables to the ones at the window with a bench on one side. We had fun joking with our replacements about that! So for the most part here it appears to be tourist clientele and not many Filipinos but my wife. I think that these exceptionally high prices for basic dishes and burgers (she asked why would people go to a Filipino restaurant and order a burger) are why not many locals eat here. And frankly most aunties make better Filipino food better at home. Glad we tried but not again. Checked off of our try try list. They didn't even have a signature dish available that we went particularly to get.

    Lemongrass tofu, chicken pancit

Some of the best lunch we had while visiting Maui. We were in the mood for something asian/islandy and this Filipino spot was perfect. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the place felt homey with welcoming servers. We tried the lemongrass tofu and chicken pancit. We ordered at the counter and the food was brought to our table. My wife and I enjoyed it so much we could have had a 2nd helping of both dishes right after. Great if you're looking for something lighter that doesn't make you feel like taking a nap after. Enjoy!

I stopped by here 2 days ago by myself for lunch. My father and I had been seeing the sights of West Maui when lunchtime snuck up on us. So I fired up Yelp and found Joey's Kitchen Napili. It's located in the Napili Plaza strip mall right off the Honoapiilani Highway. Originally I was going to order in person but the line was moving pretty slow. So while I was standing there I placed an online order for the garlic chicken, which quoted me 30 minutes. The inside of Joey's Kitchen is on the smaller side with most of the space taken up by tables along with a bar. After ordering I walked around for about 20 minutes before heading back. My food ended up being ready around the 25 minute mark, which beat the original estimate. The menu described my garlic chicken as rice flour and egg coated chicken breast pieces deep fried with sriracha aioli and sweet soy glaze, served with white rice and macaroni salad. Once I got back to the car I dug in. The chicken here felt more like thighs and was cooked really well. It had a nice crispy exterior while the inside stayed juicy. The sweet soy glaze brought a salty flavor while the sriracha aioli added creaminess along with a little kick and some nice umami. Unfortunately about halfway through I started to feel like the chicken was too salty for my taste. I still ate about three quarters of it but couldn't quite finish. The rice was fine but nothing special while the mac salad was actually pretty good and one of the better ones I had on this trip. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While the salt level got to be a bit much, I did enjoy the meal overall and would be interested in trying more of their menu.

    Pork Adobo
    Zara A.

PORK ADOBO was my favorite and completely worth it!! So buttery and flavorful probably the best I have had. GARLIC CHICKEN was good but seemed over hyped to me and not very garlic forward. They don't skip on PORTIONS or QUALITY here which was so refreshing. The other dishes looked so good! Seems like a great local FAMILY OWNED VIBE. The cocktail drinks looked very fun! Would go back on the next trip to try something new.

Great food and menu selection, casual atmorsphere. The mochi chicken was crisp and tasty. I would definitely return next time in on Maui.

We got pork belly and lumpia here. You order at the desk and then sit down. We got the lumpia and crispy pork belly. The pork belly was super crispy on the outside and tender on the e inside. The Mac salad was just okay. The lumpia was delicious! The prices are a bit on the higher end. Apparently the mai tais are great!

Do they serve non-breakfast dishes from 8am to 11am?

You can also order off the lunch menu from 8-11am

Are there any vegan options? If so, which menu items?

Yes they do. Their menu is online. There is also a wonderful vegan place next door called Aa roots

Do they take reservations or advance wait list? Our hotel is about 15 minute drive so take out would probably be cold by the time we get back. Glad this location is still open. Sad about Macadangdang.

They dont take reservations, nor is there a waitlist. They have communal table seating and order at the counter. We just made it a point to be there when they opened, and we didn't have to wait.

Will the restaurant be open on Thanksgiving day for take out?

We ate at their Napili location twice in October. Excellent food, drinks and service. All other locations still remain closed. Have no idea about Thanksgiving take out. I would suggest you call the Napili location. If they do I doubt it will be the…

Is msg used in the food? I have a severe allergy and have to ask.

    I honestly don't know

Do you deliver through Door Dash or Uber Eats?

No they don't unfortunately. There r very few places that do deliver and it is a long delivery time for them as I have done it a couple times here.. much easier to do take out still in maui unfortunately

We ordered the garlic Szechuan noodles, the fish of the day 54.00 was the market price!!; we did ask ahead of time), the Lion's Mane Mushroom Liangban Salad. I honestly liked the garlic noodles from star noodle better but the size was a little bigger here. The noodles dressed up with the chef's special hot sauce though made the noodles taste a whole lot better (there are two types of chili sauce - a sambal (our neighbor had it) and a special hot sauce that is more orange colored). It was a little too sweet IMHO without the hot sauce. I noticed someone else mentioned it was like packaged ramen indomie. It actually looked and tasted to me too like it was not freshly made... The fish of the day (kampachi - type of amberjack) was really good. Steamed with ginger and some green onions I think. Tasted pretty authentic and flavorful and soft. Pricey though. The salad was delicious. Very flavorful with the bite sized shiitake mushrooms and just the right amount of dressing. We got a complimentary birthday scoop of delicious lychee/ longan/ ginger sorbet that we loved and devoured! Great flavors! They make their own sorbets in house and typically a different flavor every night! We might come back future to try their cauliflower.

The roast duck was really good actually. The general tsao's chicken and chicken lettuce was good, I've definitely been to other spots that were better but I don't have anything bad to say about it. What I really disliked about this place was the Seafood Bird's Nest. Initially, they thought I ordered a Seafood Delight, but my order was missing the noodles. But they basically just fried up some noodles real quick and threw it under. And that part wouldn't have been a problem for me, but it was honestly waaaay too salty (and I like really salty! so that says a lot to me) It was difficult to eat to be honest, but I of course didn't want to waste it. The seafood included 3 pieces of shrimp, about a stick of imitation crab meat, a couple small pieces of scallop, and A LOT of calamari pieces that were soooo tough to chew, we couldn't even really eat them! For the chicken lettuce, they gave us about 3 full pieces of lettuce that was cut up and then charged us $4.00 for more pieces of lettuce which is pretty pricey lol. The siu mai was mid.. but you get what you pay for. There was also a 3% additional kitchen surcharge which was weird...? Still not sure what that was for lol. And then on top of that there's another 3% charge if you use credit card, so just be aware of that. The service was fine, because there was basically no one else in the restaurant anyway. Also - my boyfriend told me they had no soap in the restroom at all which was inconvenient. Overall, the price of their food does not make sense for the level of quality. We were looking around for a nice restaurant to kick off our weekend in Maui since we were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. I think my biggest issues stem from the service as well as the value. We received everything in a timely manner so we had no complaints there but didn't experience any warmth in service itself. We had a reservation at 7:00 pm which isn't late by most restaurant standards but we realized that this establishment closed at 8:00 pm. Not sure if that contributed to our experience but it was a little disappointing because it felt like our server wasn't really interested in engaging with us. As someone who has worked in food and beverage for many years, I chalked it up to maybe our server was having a bad day. Still, it left unpleasant mark on our experience. Cocktails were okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. My husband mentioned his meatloaf was overly salty. The butterfish was a great portion size but was overshadowed by the tartness the lomi tomato. I couldn't taste much of the miso or sweetness. The rice texture was mushy which made it difficult to eat. A lot of menu items in concept sounded great but the execution didn't hit the mark. I think for the price, I think flavors could have been more balanced. At this point, I can't say I'd recommend this restaurant or consider returning in the future.
