She put her name onto his waiting list and when she finally had her reading was gobsmacked at the accuracy of this guy! After listening to her story (covered in goosebumps the whole time) I decided I would go and check him out. So after waiting incredibly patiently (it takes 12 months to get an appointment!) I finally got in last month... The reading was pretty amazing. I am somewhat of a sceptic when it comes to psychics but this guy was mind blowing! He knew things about my family that no one could possibly know. Things he told me my relatives on the 'other side' were telling him, while I was sitting there! He was engaging in conversation with people behind him that I could not see, it was fascinating. It costs $95 for an hour with Jason McDonald, and your names goes onto a 12 month waiting list. It is most definitely worth it though. If you are into this sort of thing I suggest booking an appointment as soon as possible!

I felt free, whole, happy and ready to be the real me." My experience of Susan was very palpable. She led me to some deep buried memories to release. It was a precious gift. Her insightful observations were of the most outstanding accuracy. As a journalist I have had the opportunity to experience and interview dozens of healers and gifted counselors. It was really uncanny how she specifically targets certain aspects of my life, including relationships with my sister and parents that I didn't quite see in the way she mentioned, but it become apparent how true it was. These feelings were buried or forgotten. To those who are seeking some guidance so as to shift some of their blocks, she can assist you in pinpointing them so you can release them and free yourself. I just had another session with her that went deeper, and was blown away by another buried memory that I was able to set free. She sees your greatest potential and can help you to refocus your energy on what you truly desire. Her keen sense of directing you to set your intention and remove the obstacles is the most helpful. After decades of therapy, personal growth seminars and learning various healing modalities, I wish I had met her years ago! P.S I live in the US and received a virtual reading and healing from a distance, so it works no matter where you live!

This woman spent more than half of the reading providing me with information about numerology which she read from a print out that she kept in an old folder. I could have gotten more information about numerology from Google Search. Then she went on to tell me about Fen Shui, another subject I would have found more useful information about through Google. After this she began a Celtic Spread reading, the information of which she was only able to tell me two things and which had no relevance to my life in the least. Finally, she asked me to shuffle the cards with questions in mind and she would give me the answer before I revealed the question to her. Only, when she read the cards she would ask me the question before revealing the answer. She gave me vague answers and if they beared no relevance to my life or made any sense in relation to my question she would give multiple answers, most of which contradicted earlier information she had provided. At the end of the reading I asked about contacting past loved ones which she had told me she could do over the phone by looking at a photo of them. I showed her a photo of one of my passed relatives. She told me they were standing behind me and nothing else. No messages from the other side, no information about them whatsoever. NOTHING! She spent most of the reading talking about her other clients whom would come in for guidance, revealing private, sensitive information about them and making fun of them. One example was when she brought up clients who had come in for any insight she may be able to provide them concerning their husbands health to which she nastily told me that it wasn't their husbands' health they needed to worry about and laughing at their situation, that they were the ones who were going to die from cancer or some other disease, but that she wasn't going to be the one to tell them that. She told me often how good her ability was but ironically did not provide any evidence of this during the reading. I also began to notice that she had a way of getting information out of you that she would then later use. She also made rude and racist comments about her "black" neighbours and other races, which I found offensive. Nothing she told me made any sense or gave me any further insight or guidance in my life. I left feeling more confused then when I had arrived. Please learn from my mistake and don't waste your valuable time or your hard earned money!!!

Julianna has provided me with specific advice over the years. The difference between the advice she…read moreprovides, and that that some other psychics, is that her advice has been very relevant to my day to day life. There's a place for all forms of intuition, but I go to her for practical advice. I appreciate her straight forward approach, which is neither sunshine and rainbows, or harsh. She has predicted relevant events in my life as a heads up, however in a useful context. After a reading I feel as if I have practical guidance in my life, rather than obscure signs and ideas. That she would get one star from another reviewer blows my mind, however be aware of people who only have a few reviews, as is the case on any review site. I find it saddening that someone would post this, given that she is the most consistent and quality intuitive I've known. I really appreciate the amazing work she does, and would highly recommend her for readings.

The experience, though, was a heap of fun and something I intend to do more often when Sketchy's starts up again in 2012. The event I attended was the end of year celebration, and took place in Puritan, a lingerie store on James Street, rather than the usual Glass Bar. This setting made the night even more unusual and surreal. The lighting was a little bright and took away from the intimacy of the night, but the enthusiasm and sense of community among the attendees more than made up for it. We were treated to a variety of costumes and poses by reigning Miss Burlesque Australia, Sina King, who was enthusiastic and friendly. Tickets were $20, which bought a Strom cocktail on arrival (Strom being the event's sponsor) and wine throughout the night. Nibblies were also provided. Normal Sketchy's events are $15 entry, so keep an eye out for next years' events, and remember to take your sketchpad and pencils!

The first time my friend invited me to join him for a Dr Sketchy's night I did not know what to expect. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a free cocktail and a lot of smiling faces (both from regulars and the folks running the show). A very voluptuous and stunning woman in a red corset happily posed and chatted to the "artists" sitting closest to her. Now I say "artists" in inverted commas because Dr Sketchy's is an Anti Art class. They don't teach you how to draw nor expect you to have any talent whatsoever. They just encourage you to enjoy yourself and sketch away. This encouragement also comes in the shape of prizes given out throughout the night for things such as "most creative incorporation of Santa into the sketch" or just "model's favourite". You don't have to be the most artistic in the room to win these either. I was definitely not the best but got a prize anyway (I think they were being nice because I was a Dr Sketchy's virgin). There are plenty of opportunities to sketch away, chat and drink throughout the night. The model poses for different periods of time ranging from 1 min to 15 min poses, allowing you to practice different techniques. She also had a costume change half way through to mix things up a bit. There were some poses where her breasts were almost exploding out of her corset but everything stayed quite PG the whole night, much to some of the "artist's" dismay. The whole night cost fifteen dollars which sounds like a lot but for such a fun, interesting and unique night out in Brisbane the price it is totally worth it. It is best to keep an eye out on the Dr Sketchy's Brisbane facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DrSketchysBrisbane?sk=info) for info on upcoming sketch nights usually held on the first Tuesday of every month, as the website (http://www.drsketchy.com) covers the Dr Sketchy's chain across the entire globe. The Brisbane Sketchy's is held at the Glass bar at the Judith Wright Centre on Brunswick Street, which is the perfect, classy venue for it. Whether you go to draw, drink, or just have fun socialising while doing something completely different, I highly recommend checking out Dr Sketchy's.

Even the smoking area is a tightly packed battle of who can secure the coveted corner that gives you a limited around of swivel room. Without trying to be overly harsh, I just find Bowler Bar boring. It doesn't really have anything to keep you there. It's small, and not exceedingly special. The reason I went in the first place was because it was new at the time, and who doesn't want to check out a new venue? But it just hasn't won me over. I didn't stay for very long because I got bored. It's that simple.

If you're looking for a night out with some well-dressed and very drunk kids then really look no further than here. If it's your first time in Brisbane and your looking to sample what a 4am Valley dance floor can be like, I can't recommend a place more than this. It's a tradition you should embrace with open arms or at least appreciate from the sidelines. Not that the galleries in town focus on ceramics anyway - the only other ceramic gallery in Brisbane Fusions was 'temporarily closed' the last time I checked in December. The ceramic pieces here are brightly coloured which may not be to everyone's taste. I personally prefer raku, celadon and the more Japanese inspired glazes.
